  1. Beautiful Jack, just beautiful! Thank you buddy for all of your efforts!
  2. Pretty much a no brainer for me too. Go with the 3080. In 2 years, the 4080 will be out, and it'll perform better than the 3090, and at a lower cost rather than spending $1,500 for the 3090 up front.
  3. Nice! you knew this vid was coming... ;):megalol:
  4. ;)
  5. Incredible mod, thanks!
  6. Walking through this, you've practically convinced me to go with the 3080. Indeed, the future 4080 (2 years from now will outpace the 3090). ;) Besides, going from a 1080 to a 3080, that'll be a nice step for me...
  7. wow, insane... 3080 is more in my range.
  8. $699 for the 3080... $499 for the 3070 but Jensen didn't announce the price for the 3090, other than 24GB's RAM...
  9. I prefer to use the solution from Miles.... They work great! :-) https://pointctrl.com/
  10. I have them here in AZ. Yet the very high heat does reduce their efficiency. I'm anxious to see what the power requirements will be, (as you all do), since I currently have a 750W PSU.
  11. incredible looking rig there buddy! Very nice!
  12. I've noticed a bit of a drop as well.
  13. currently thinking about the 3080. But really depends on how much nVidia will extort us for the 3090 (and the other cards). in either case, I'll await the EVGA cards as well. I've had great luck with 'em too!
  14. Exactly. I have the: - O/S installed on the first NVMe M.2 - DCS is installed on a second NVMe M.2 - My page/swap file is installed on a dedicated 3rd NVMe M.2 (yes, maybe over kill, but I had a free slot for it, and got the drive on sale via AMZ).
  15. Indeed, nothing more can be done until the announcement and things are confirmed... Hoping my 750W has enough headway... :-)
  16. In short, we'll need new PSU's? plus a 12 pin connector to these cards?
  17. those sure are sweet!
  18. the sooner I'm out of that walled garden, the better... can't wait for my G2... :-)
  19. cool beans, thanks Mustang!
  20. Indeed! Our man Mr. Mustang has been taking care of business!
  21. Yikes! I know what you mean my man! Those dudes slithered out of Dodge City in the middle of the night.
  22. you could always use his previous release?
  23. try this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=281666&highlight=shaders
  24. OP - see my sig/specs. I'm almost similar. DCS also likes higher CPU speeds. A 9700K begs to be OC. If you're running stock, you're at 3.6ghz. You can safely go to 4.9ghz (all cores), without an issue. With higher end coolers, some folks go to 5.0 and 5.1. (I'm not familiar with the KF version, so I'll look it up). Also, please share your DCS settings too. thx, -Jav
  25. I'll be honest, I flew her twice just after the initial release. She was a mess, and I've never touched this bird since. That was a long, long, time ago. So it's not fair to use that as a rating. One day, I'll try her again, but too many other other birds right now to fly. For the Whirley's, my go to has always been the Mi-8 and the Huey. Hoping the Gazelle is cooking now.
