  1. printing now as we speak. About a 12 hour print. Once finished, I'll post pics.
  2. Yes, something I can try out! Gonna look into this and print. A week or two ago, I order the face gasket. just waiting for it to arrive (from overseas).
  3. thanks for the ping buddy! I'm looking forward to flying with your collective!
  4. great article, thanks! I've only purchased Samsung SSD's by default. (Glad I did).
  5. Awesome news! I love flying this little bird!
  6. Amigo, you and I are on the same wave length! I've been thinking how I can duct something towards the NVMe just under the CPU/DH-15. My RAM and CPU are rock'n just fine temp wise. Same with my 3090FE. The stock nVidia cooling for the FE just rock's, but she can dump a bit of heat. That particular NVMe can get a little toasty under 'em. But I'm gonna figure that out!
  7. I'm running SS at 100%. (Global and app at 100%). With MSAA at 2x. I'm able to keep 45 FPS locked for the GPU (measured via fpsVR). I have my CPU cores running at 4.9Ghz. Though I'm only flying SP. Specs in my sig....
  8. would agree, the tracking, stock audio, and controllers are solid.
  9. Hola buddy, are you running that 9700K at stock speed? You can safely OC that CPU to 4.9Ghz. It'll be a nice little "boost" for you.
  10. thanks. This one was pretty simple to do, and it did add some cooling. I really like how it ducts right into my DH-15.
  11. I stumbled on this via Thingiverse. Having 2 open slots in my case, I figured why not. A little additional cooling inlet air to complement my existing 200mm fan. Was a real simple print. All that was need was a 120mm fan. I used a Noctua, (naturally). This bad boy pushes cooling air right into my CPU's Noctua DH-15. Perfect... I wasn't having any sort of cooling issues. Rather, I still thought it would be cool to make use of these open space for those unused slots. As of now, my 3090FE is running at 40C (in non gaming mode), just surfing and light duty. (I have the nVidia setting for the GPU set for "prefer max power"). Sharing pics...
  12. I could no longer withstand the annoying prop effect. So I went ahead and updated a personal version of this mod. I made a copy of the existing DCS P-47 data from the coremods & textures. Made a copy of anything that looked like a prop file from the original VR friendly mod, and copied them into a new P-47 texture zip... Via the magic of JSGME, it's working fine. Much better to fly the Jug now, and no issues with any of the other textures... I spend 99% of my time flying SP, so no idea as of yet if I'd have impact via MP.
  13. I'll try that later today. interesting, (thanks for the suggestion). gotta do a quick honey-do first.
  14. I've always unplugged the power connection when I'm not using the G2, (just to keep the annoying WMR from firing up every time I boot up, and don't want to use the headset). agreed, you would not want to have power when connecting the 6-meter cable to the headset. but it also sounds like you want to have power off even when you disconnect & reconnect the USB to the PC. after you reconnect the PC USB portion, then reconnect the power.
  15. Via HP, note the very first item in this FAQ: https://support.hp.com/ro-en/document/c06984162 Topic Recommendation Is there a specific order to connect headset cables to a PC Connect the 6-meter cable to the headset first before connecting to the PC or power supply. Leave the 6-meter cable connected to the headset after initial installation. When the headset is not in use, disconnect the power adapter from the 6-meter cable.
  16. I've been playing Alyx, and man, the G2 is just incredible. I'm at 100% setting, everything on Ultra. Just awesome! It's practically like I'm sitting in front of my 4K TV (almost). For DCS, I'm able to get the locked 45fps and at the 100% setting too. But it's in Alyx that I really see the full potential of the G2. I'm so glad I got it!!!
  17. Hi Milou, what's your GPU? (sorry, can't see your sig)
  18. same here, been rock'n just fine with the punk driver....
  19. From what I've found (via the net), the Samsung NVMe drives can run a bit hotter than the others. Especially the drive that gets tucked under the GPU, not much I can do for it, lacking any clearance from the RTX for an aftermarket heatsink. (I'm using the Aorus supplied sink/cover that came with the MB). Also, I'm using 3x NVMe's, so all slots are used, and no opportunity to move the center NVMe away from the GPU.... Digging through my spare parts, I found I had a new Noctua 40mm fan. So I figured, heck, why not. Lets print out a spot cooler stand for it. Went to Thingiverse and found something interesting. Printed it out and installed this little setup earlier this morning. I think I picked up a few degree's C of cooling. Nothing much. But then again, the 40mm can only push out so much. I'm thinking of scaling this to support a 60mm or 80mm fan next.... (for the increased air flow). Heck why not, gives me something to do with the 3D printer....

  20. the latest one, 460.79 (provides game day ready driver for Cyberpunk).
  21. I rolled the dice and installed the "punk" drivers on my 3090FE yesterday morning. Stable, fine, no issues either.
  22. same with me, running 20H2 and after adding manually the value was set to 0 as well.
  23. thanks Don, I'm going to give this a whirl! I have a big noggin to boot as well...
  24. I haven't read the whole thread, Maybe this was mentioned:
  25. thank you Mustang! Really appreciate all of your efforts!
