  1. thanks Mustang, I'll try this out later today (after work).
  2. I know this doesn't help you. But I checked craigslist here in Phoenix, and one guy is selling a user Rift S for $300. There's also another guy selling a Reverb for $395. maybe you have something like that nearby for you?
  3. other experts will have to chime in, but what I can remember, some of my settings are: water - medium civ traffic - none clutter / grass - 0 pre-load radius - I think mine is 50% of what you have trees - same as the pre-load radius... chimney density - 0 (or whatever the lowest setting is, 1?) Next time I'm by my computer, I'll look to take screen shot...
  4. same here, using 451.67 and the GPU scheduling enabled as well. No issues with VR, games, or anything else...
  5. Or, maybe "their German's were better than our German's..." :-)
  6. I was thinking the same thing... From day one, I've had no issue taking off or landing the Jug. I took her out for a quick spin today, post the beta update. From the butt dyno, it seemed a little different (for the better). But I'll let those who actually have metrics share their feedback.
  7. Maybe cool for ARMA, but for DCS, I'll stick with VR. :-)
  8. thank you for the post, very interesting!
  9. call me an idiot, I just pulled the trigger on the pre-order....
  10. I'm tempted.. but sight unseen... see my specs below, think it's worth a shot to pre-order? I'm ok with the price... I also plan to upgrade my GPU once nVidia comes out with their new cards, (providing it's not extortion rates...) :-)
  11. buddy, you don't know the rabbit hole you've opened, now that you have a 3D printer... (I have way to many projects). One thing you might with to consider down the road. A Raspberry Pi, and run Octoprint to help manage your 3D printer. They work like a charm!
  12. Wonderful looking! thanks for the post!
  13. Yep, that's what I did as well. Enabled via the O/S. Though I really haven't noticed much of a performance difference. Flying with my Rift S is just fine though. So I'm going to keep this driver as of now.
  14. I've installed and enabled HAGS. Flew the Jug quite a bit last night. No issues with my Rift S. Frankly I didn't really see any sort of change (plus or minus). My hardware specs noted in my sig...
  15. I'm gonna check out this driver. thanks for the post.
  16. beautiful job there rick! I want this one as well!
  17. now that is cool. would be a worthy project from my printer, but I'm happy with my current rudder setup.
  18. Being a knucklehead, I figured I'd give the JU88 attack a whirl as well... Sure as heck, he roasted me with that rear sniper.
  19. Based on this thread, I gave it a whirl too.... a 20 curve on the rudder indeed helps!
  20. Would love it too, along with "Whistling Death..." :-)
  21. Thanks BTD, you're rock'n it dude! Love flying this bird, and the sound!
  22. ah yes, Snark hunts. A worthy pursuit. Game on! :);)
