Hello, i am playing the A10c Campaign Georgian Hammer for the second time and i am now playing misión 14-1, but i dont manage to keep ground untis alive in my CAS duty. I take out all tanks near their first checkpoint, then order them to go to it, its all perfect untill the second checkpoint, i clear mostly all tanks and air defences but whatever i do, when both groups advance to their final checkpoint they get shot down by 9m119 sam missiles, those sams seem to appear from nowhere, they just launch from the ground (no unit or soldier around) and take out the units from the groups that i am ment to protect, when the last unit is killed i get a misisón failed. So my question, what am i doing wrong? the JTAC gives me coordinates for IFVs that are far away and dont have much importance for my CAS missión. Thanks for the help

1. First i learned all the flying, no weapons or anything only many many freeflight learning how to fly, HDI,ADI,ILS,TACAN,CDU etc.... 2. Then did all the rest of training missions with the manual in hand (iPad), focusing on all the weapons and TGP,SPI etc.. each training misión is good to reinforce with at least 2 YouTube videos on the same subject. 3. Lastly Campaign, if you see youre not advancing, then youre missing something. Even though i am in misión 10-2 of Campaign, which is not bad for 40 days since i started, i feel that i am weak in CDU,JTAC,Air Refuel and formation Flying, but with necesity and practice i improve quickly

I am going to go for a 780 Ti, i think for DCS its the safest bet. By the way i also have a doubt, does anyone know if it will go well with an old i7 975 extreme CPU? Or this will be a bottleneck?

Cool, thanks, so its probably better to get a TV then, its always going tohave the TV part as an extra, and price wise you get more inches for the same cash? Unless i am missing some advantage that monitors have. In refresh rates max is 120hz and those are much more expensive.

Im thinking of upgrading my Monitor to at least 27 inches, but i was wondering, what is the difference now a days between a TV and a Monitor for playing? I was looking at the specifications of many TVs and some of the Led ones have refresh rates of 200hz, isnt that better than the monitors 60hz?? Thanks for the help.

Hello Willem, i agree with you. I first starting playing DCSW in december, i already finished Mastering SU25T and finished its Campaign, now i am deeply involved with A10C and very comfortable with it, i would just add one more thing to what you said : You learn alot out of this simulator!

Ive done that, what i need is to fix the view in that zoom as my default view center, is that possible?

Im trying to customize my view center, in particular the zoom, i simply want to zoom out abit, but ive been reading threads all over the place which talk about editing and changing values?? Isnt this something i can just do in the game? There is the key that saves a view position but i dont really understand how to use it. Thanks for the help.

Its funny but i also have this problem, only with one key. Whatever i assign to the frames per second key comand, i cant make it work, no matter what key or hotas button? Its the only thing that fails, every other single key works perfectly.

I also red through all and found it very intresting. But i also get the conclusion that such an important thing like Altitude should be one general standard law for all. Its funny how things like Football (soccer) have the same rules all around the world and a more serious matter like this one is so confusing!

All opinions should be heard and considered but being realistic i think that A10C is complex and not suitable for people looking for fast thrills. Its more like enriching your knowlodge about aircraft and how really complex they are but at the same time once mastered its like riding a bycicle. Also keep in mind that so many things learned in this sim will be usefull for other sims and other purposes. Try and challenge yourself to master it. The reward will be inmense.

Yes, i tnink smoke is exaggerated. I see that some aircraft have smoke and others dont? Is that because of different height and atmospheres or something, i checked in the Tornado, one had smoke and another one in another place didnt produce smoke???

I found that the skins of the F16a MLU, are still wrong. They are multicolours. I thought this was fixed in 1.2.7. Other things liike the Tacan button fix have been solved. Do i have a problem in my installation?

I really really enjoyed it, finished the Campaign and was thinking of redoing it with an added old monitor 1280x800, as the shkval. I would have bought it if it was module. It was perfect for learning, now im deeplt into the A10C. Im very happy with DCS world, ive bought all the modules except Helis... for the time being.
