  1. Post a track and we'll get you on the road to recovery and eventually proficient in piloting the Iroquois.
  2. That's the thing - they have. And no, I do not want to continue with this discussion. I am however necessitated to do so, twice now, by the likes of your and other posts calling me out, thus necessitating a reply clarifying previous submissions made.
  3. No, definitely not a Space SIM. RealTime Immersive.
  4. There is one: CryEngine from CryTek. Not now, yes. When EDGE is released we however will have a basis for comparison and it is indeed my hope that when such time arrives that we can compare and seek answers in a constructive, meaningful manner rather than hiding behind respective boulders throwing clay at the opposing faction, calling oranges apples and apples oranges :D
  5. Agreed - a confrontational comparison is never a good thing and neither the intent behind the submission. Rather, a honest comparison highlighting the reasons why, where, why not and how is always a good thing: Rather us enlightened than being mushrooms. Then again, said comparison will obviously have to wait until the Granny Smith is ripe for the picking lest we are stuck with a sour apple :P
  6. General consensus has always been that 'viewpoint distance' is the exclusionary factor that negates said comparisons. Now as mentioned above, the CryEngine from CryTech can cater for viewpoint distance needed for a SIM such as DCS, ergo the comparison suddenly becomes valid. Now we are comparing a Granny Smith apple (EDGE) to a Golden Delicious apple (CryEngine) and unless there is evidence that disproves the allegation that the CryEngine can indeed cater for the viewing distance needed by DCS then the comparison suddenly becomes valid. Is there? :)
  7. Can pick one of these up from Amazon for £176. Question is thus: Is it worthwhile for the price/capacity or are there better SSD's out there for a lower price? Advice appreciated :)
  8. I understand that to mean 'when they have one', ie a future probable event. At present they do not have a kit and as such are just tinkering with viewport rendering etc etc. Those seriously wanting VR support: Has anybody sent a kit to ED yet?
  9. None of the above. I will however settle for the Lavochkin La-7 :D
  10. Rewind? You don't. Accelerate time/Fast Forward: Ctrl-Z It's all in the Options menu and manuals - do yourself a favour and read them through.
  11. Screenshot taken after calibration. Screenshot posted as an advisory to check on that specific options page/tab whether one's flight-stick is indeed properly calibrated for the SIM. Mine was slightly off-set to the left prior to said calibration.
  12. "That all rather depends Professor on what one considers to be a Pig" Hahahahaha lovin' it!
  13. This good enough? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1408028#post1408028
  14. In the first link, put all the text as it appears after the v= in [youtube [/youtube tags and you'll be good to go.
  15. There is still hope. This 'wish' is a long time coming, ever since I got here 7 years ago and probably even before that. All my submissions in this thread are based on the current engine code and its limitations as explained. Now it does not necessarily follow that EDGE will follow the same path and be saddled with the same limitations. We will have to wait and see and hope that EDGE does indeed address this irritating issue and that Luthier's comments are based on the current code only. Time will tell.
  16. It is 100% valid with the code he has to work with. Cannot argue that because you can do it with one set of code that another automatically follows suit.
  17. Set the depressible pipper to the AA TGP boresight position, ie set the Depressible Pipper to 41 mils (3 degrees) (Press rocker switch downwards 41 times). This will effectively make the DP a sight that you can use as a reference so that you always know where your TGP is looking in AA mode.
  18. What, and have no ground units moving about at all? That's obviously never going to happen.
  19. If they are not treated as individually modelled entities then you effectively negate the AI's ability to engage from the cover of forests. AI will also not be able to drive through/navigate said forests. You see this very serious problem? This is just one of the reasons, I assume, that a generic single collision box over an entire forest just isn't feasible.
  20. Awwww Diddums!! Please search the relevant sub-forum prior to starting new threads - all you do is clutter the forums by reporting issues already reported: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=112868
  21. As stated previously, there is a month of updates planned. Surely you don't you want them all at once do you? How about a wee bit of patience.
  22. Don't be. It's simple really: We are not here to compare Sims - we are here to discuss DCS: WWII: Europe 1944. Discussions not related to DCS products are best attended to on the relevant developers boards and not here on the DCS Boards.
