  1. It is not possible to select High supercharger by clicking through the switch. You can select, low or auto but that is it. When I pressed the keybind to select high it did not stay in position unless the key was held down, once released it went back to low.
  2. +1 My msffb2 is amazing but it would be so much better having a modern equivalent. It changes everything! It doesn't matter what aircraft you fly it can be implemented to feel like you are at the control of THAT aircraft.
  3. Correct and I don't think that you can use vor's in the f-16? At least our version right now. Only ILS and TACAN
  4. The distance is set by using a DME (eg. tacan or the nav computer) ils does not provide a dme
  5. Thanks for the time to write this up yoyo. Perhaps something that could be changed unless it is an issue with the sound engine is the distance that aircraft can be heard before fading to silence and a little ambient noise?
  6. BUMP this is still a problem. Almost a year later.
  7. +1 This is still an issue
  8. Yes but like I said in the rest of that post that you just quoted "The original post may have had a video with the incorrect engined aircraft but the point still stands that the sounds of the war birds are not as close as they could be to the real life counterparts" I'm not going to continue this discussion here since it is clear that we are both set in our ways and are sure in our answers. If they decided to one day update the sounds to a higher standard great. If not I will live, would've been nice is all, I'm not the only one who thinks they need improving, have discussed it many times on here and reddit with people agreeing. Thanks anyway.
  9. Nobody was saying that. The discussion has been about improving the sounds. Not making something unrealistic. The original post may have had a video with the incorrect engined aircraft but the point still stands that the sounds of the war birds are not as close as they could be to the real life counterparts
  10. This is my point. The older modules are lacking in the sound quality. They are long overdue for an upgrade. I have noticed many sound mods which put the sounds closer to reality than the default sounds, which are developed by one single person so I do not understand why a company with access to the aircraft is so off. I can think of at least 2 sims which have slightly better sounds on their ww2 aircraft however I cannot mention them due to rule breaking. The F18 and F16 sounds are really good and are a vast improvement on times past. It is important to be able to recognise when things need to be improved.
  11. I was talking in general about the warbirds. I have heard many P-51s, Spitfires, P-47s. Neither the Mustang or the Spitfire sound like the real life counterparts; and yes hearing a high quality sound recording from a video with mustang's and a bf109 I would say it is pretty accurate.
  12. Cleary you haven't. None of them sound anything like the real life counterparts I'm afraid. I have seen many warbirds and piston aircraft and none sound like they do in DCS.
  13. Either way the point stands that the sounds of pretty much all aircraft are sub par. The warbirds sound more like ride on mowers.
  14. I have noticed when using the pitch and elevator trim a small tap moves it pretty quickly, it would be nice if it was a tad slower like the p-51.
  15. Thanks, it is a real problem in vr. Kills fps if one is in line of sight even if it is miles away.
  16. BUMP
  17. Have just been loading into a black screen recently when using the mod
  18. im sure lots of people would notice that you have to press a keybind to start the aircraft.
  19. I have noticed with the m2000 and f16 that when looking at other aircraft when vaping in f2 view the fps drops to a stutter
  20. Well the current way it works sucks
  21. Instead of setting up specific aircraft slots. It would be better to define spawn locations, the aircrafts that you can fly (chosen by mission) and loadout and then choose a free parking position to spawn in. This would solve the issue of every server having to have hundreds of slots for aircraft in the mission.
  22. could there be an option to change the strength of both axis independently to how we like? Perhaps in special options?
  23. Yeah I swapped them around but it makes it a bit more uncomfortable
