  1. Ok i see what you mean, whilst they are flying at full power and you are on the ground idle yes you can hear, but what about when at the same power? not really
  2. That depends on the aircraft, also remember pilot has a headset on which cancels out a lot of noise. Even on the ground the other aircraft shouldn't be heard over one another. I was inside a lancaster during an engine run, once more than one engine is running you don't get an equal increase in sound. Similar thing with the aircraft in dcs, when joining up or flying along side another aircraft I could hear the other plane just as clear as mine. Perhaps it could be muffled a bit?
  3. Yeah btd I know you do have the sounds direct from the aircraft but perhaps trying jafas spitfire or p51 sound mod would be nice. There are some sounds which come across more accurately, maybe give some inspiration? As an aside I have noticed that when flying I can hear other planes over my own; even same type. With hear like in helmet on or off. In reality when flying we can just hear the engine and wind noise, maybe the other aircraft sounds could be lower in cockpit? Thanks for taking the time to seek feedback :)
  4. Hi f4l0, great work. Could you perhaps alter the way the effect works in prop planes? It would be cool to have it where you feel the startup and vibrations whilst the aircrafts are running at low/idle rpm.
  5. Are we ever going to see this like the spit?
  6. Yeah that's the one and the one in the folder previous. The sound stands out a fair bit. Probably the best time to hear it would be when landing if doing a glide approach. It isn't as loud and more of a deeper tone. I found this video of a guy running a griffon engine poorly and it backfires and pops and bangs. About 1:30 in the video I know this isn't the same engine but it does give and idea of the sound that could be created?
  7. Glad it isn't just me
  8. When flying the spit today I noticed that on startup I could see the light of the fire reflecting on the fuselage but no actual flame. I have no mods installed so it should still be there.
  9. this still needs to be looked at. The p51 and spitfire refuse to even splutter or backfire when the mixture is on
  10. Hi btd, if possible could the sound that is made when the throttle is cut to fast be reduced or changed, I'm not sure what it is supposed to be, backfire? But it sounds the same between all modules and stands out a lot from the rest :)
  11. This. In previous discussions people have claimed that the videos on YouTube cannot be the thing to go by because of the mics and such. However lots of videos online sound the same as all the p51 spitfires and other piston planes I hear, the Dcs sounds are lacking a great deal. There are many reasons why this could be but I imagine they need some fine tuning. Whilst flying in the real world I hear the lower pitch sounds, there is always a constant droning, that is what kinda feels like is missing. Nice work so far! It is an improvement
  12. Rodger. Was asking since in the last update it was stated Which states a sound engineer has been employed specifically for the CEII. Was this not the case?
  13. Did anyone from the team say they could not reproduce this issue until now? But you also say it is now being investigated. Have you managed to reproduce it then?
  14. No mention of sound updates for either modules?
  15. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=245961 Bug has existed for a long time with no update. Don't hold out much hope.
  16. Is this still being worked on?
  17. The external sound is pretty much the default sounds but slightly altered. So they sound like the c101 and hawk (when it was in game) and all the other ai. It has been an issue for so long.
  18. This, if it takes this amount of time when caring for a relatively simple module it gives me concerns over anything else they are making.
  19. Yes this has been tried on many drivers and different gpus. I do feel like a bit of a broken record saying that this is already a known bug. Not a hardware bug.
  20. It appears to be the case! From my simple mind thinking it could be something to do with the shadow trying to reflect onto the prop. Although it might have nothing to do with that and just be a random error
  21. Yeah I have, it appears once the prop is spinning the fps drops right until the prop stops. I tried takeoff power, idle, cruise.
  22. Ah brilliant, thanks for this. I didn't know there was a mod for the spitfire prop. Has anyone made a mod the fw?
  23. I have attached 2 screenshots showing engine off and on.
  24. Again like I have stated it is more of an issue when flying in VR and with shadows enabled. If you are locked at 60 you won't notice this unless there are multiple fw190s. This thread isn't really aimed at you.
