  1. G6 would be cool, G2 and F4 would fit the P40F from VEAO. But G6 has awesome potential to be many planes in one. Normal G6 with 20mm cannon and additional wing gunpods, G6/U4 30mm Mk108 Both could use additional wing gunpods with MG151 and MK108. With MW50 or without it. With old canopy and Earls canopy. So many configs
  2. Its not about that. Look at the impact point and blast radius. You can destroy a truck with single .50cal AP to the wheel but 500lb bomb does nothing blueing up 1m from it.
  3. Which is what I do not entirely understand. From what I've read some time ago, the best climb speed was 180mph and correct me if I am wrong but all ROC tests were done at that speed and with different power settings and all at automatic radiator settings.
  4. LOL. I wonder if it affects all planes. I'll chech my P51 later.
  5. Was it luck? Maybe? :P I claim 1xMe109 damaged and 2x190s destroyed. :music_whistling:
  6. You should not dogfight in the P51. But you can. Especially with 30% or less fuel.
  7. In sims taildragers seem easier to me than the tricycle gear planes like P39. It is easier to damage the gear and tail to me.
  8. But they don't leak, so its not that big of a deal.
  9. No, because it is optional, so the guy u are attacking might have it off, not to mention it still let's the external sound through and makes you loose some fidelity of sounds of your own airplane

    VICTORY!
  11. IMHO they should make the cockpit its own environment and outside sounds can stay as they are, but the cockpit would block the outside sounds. Only weapons, engine and hit sounds should be heard.

If I may suggest something Jaffa. If I were you I would pay attention to the DCS external sound levels. Other sound mods were so loud they can be heard 2km from the source while flying your a plane. So they make proper sneak attack nearly impossible. Your mod sounds the best out of all merlin mods, just be careful with that, so that we can use it in multiplayer :D

  16. F4U-1D was quite common during 1945 and far more common than -4

Great sound. Almost there, a bit too much bass it seems, but the departure at 0:27 is just pure victory. We just need this:
  18. I had the module when the stifnes was implemented. And I am basing my comments on the real life data. It is DCS that should strive to reach reality, not the other way around.
  19. This is not a bug report section. It is in the main section of the K4 module. It is not changing opinions, it is a typo. Nothing above 750kph was actually tested. It was extrapolated and the dotted line supports this. And I never said 109s couldn't do 750kph. That's the max permisable speed for safety, but Kurfurst has shown data that proved it was moved in later models to 800kph, which I accepted. Still, no document has shown test data on roll rate at that speed.
  20. What kind of argument is that? You are basically saying I cannot have an opinion on the 109 and Spit without purchasing them? Show me a forum rule that says so, or abandon that argument at once. This is material discrimination at best. And yes the stiffness is normal and kurfurst is right in a way that 109 had "better controls" than Spit, but it is very much dependant on preference and not objective statement.
  21. You seem to not realise that your last comments were not only snarky but also pretty much in line with what I said about the 109's handling. But sure, feel free to vindicate your self. The 109 has predictable controls they progressively get stiffer with speed. Spit on the other hand has very light if not overly light elevator forces and very similar aileron forces to the 109. That makes the pilot concentrate more to use them in sync.
  22. Finns can have differnt standards. It was way before the current standardisation of procedures. But if it was not mentioned then probably trim was set to 0.
  23. He just said "the left wing tank". I don't think they were briefed on how the internal systems of the German aircaft look like.
