Very nice video. I so hyped about being able to fly with A-7 you cannot imagine. I fell in love with this airplane since I have first saw it in a book I got for birthday... It is already 20 years since then and I still love the looks of the beast. :pilotfly:

Re-inventing wheel, especially if it would take years, is something which should be rather avoided. Its much easier and faster to adopt already working technology and modify it to your needs. ED is hopefuly building a frame on which others will be able to build their own technology. Basicaly ED has to define standard which other will have to follow, the same like with dual seat.

The different version have different update paths. You will not have ZA in "Nevada" until new patch adds it there. Unfortunatelly this will be the case for future updates until the versions merge into one installation.

I would say the Dx11 performance. If you have limited budget then check the last reviews and choose the card that fits in which has the best Dx11 performance for the money you are able to expend. Just make sure that the card has at leat 2GB of memory. If you do not have a limit, then just buy 980ti and be done with it. :D

Campaigns are linked to maps so choose wisely now for which map the campaign is or you may not be able to play the campaign until you will buy/install the map module. At the moment maps are tied to game version too: Georgia is 1.5* only and Nevada 2.* only.

Guys, no need to feel bad about this. Any Harrier will do. Actually its the same like you would say: "Hey guys, do you remember like we said that we will give you the Aston Martin V12? Well it will be only the V8. :(" Hell we are still getting Aston Martin (Harrier) anyway so who would complain right? :D

The colors are still work in progress I suppose, because they have stated, that the map looked completely differently in editor than what it happened to look like in the game engine. They were trying to adapt the colors since then and if you remeber the color palet from before the release, it was even more washed out than it is now. I think we will see updates in this matter.

Well he does not want more than one monitor, so the only other option would be VR I suppose. :)

Ok here is something which I'm doing, maybe it's not the best practice, but it works wonders for me. Do you guys know the Director control for autopilot? The ctrl+a shortcut? What I do is hit this button, do whatever I want to do being it controlled turn, or combat move, and when i'm in the possition where I want to trimm out and stabilize, I hit the trimm and then enable the director mode again. It was suggested to me by my colleague (he is working at army simulators in Czech rep.) as the proper way how to do maneuvering without the need to hold the trimm button which should not be done apparently.

Try to trimm out manually and don't use the auto hover function if you are in a situation where the autopilot can't keep up. Vikhr can be targeted and lead also manually. You can find the switch to this function on the front weapon panel. When you switch to manual the target lock can be anything and you can guide the Vikhr on it's route to the target also. So if you will see the missile straying to the side, then move the cursor in opposite way. You can do some fancy stuff with manual settings (like hitting two targets at one time) but it's main strenght is the option to guide the missiles where and how you want.

Too bad there is no damage model for tanks yet. Even simple one like attacking from front or rear and hitting ammo/motor parts. Or is it? From my experience the tanks have only some kind of healt bar feel to them where they are either working at 100% or destroyed and nothing between. I wonder if it would have high hit on performace if hits would have to be counted in real time from high rate of fire weapons. I suppose the multicore support which is still missing could help in this case, or not?

Just finished reading the book "Stuka pilot" from Hans-Ulrich Rudel! Sign me in, this will be epic addition to DCS WW2. Too bad that Normandy is being done for this era as Stuka was shining mainly at Eastern front but I will enjoy flying it anyway.

What I meant is war simulation between two countries with border crossing. Nevada is not suited for it. You can do a fictional scenario for sure but it will not make much sence, unless you would make one of side countries the enemy and the map would expand that way in future.

Its not a warzone map thats for sure. The map will be more suited for terorrist missions, rescue missions, city riots and training overall.

I've read it second time now and you are right... hmm 50% off a month after release even if it is under the bonus system is strange. Maybe a lesson for next time? Either get goodies with pre-sell or wait a month to get 50% off, taking in account you have enough bonus money and that it only counts for ED modules and not 3rd party. Hmm :huh:
