From my experience, Dora is a lot faster and accelerates more quickly in DCS than P-51. P-51 is more agile and can out turn Dora. From my limited experience I had in P-51, I was never able to catch any Dora pilot if I did not take on them by surprise. I can't comment on how it was in WW2 as I do not know that.

That all depends on what you enjoy. Even work can be a joyful ride in the skies. :D I'm getting shot down a lot more often than I would like to, but flying is still a lot more enjoyable than anything else I can think of. And after all being a combat pilot means you are doing one of the hardest works in the world.

Great idea. Its hard enough to find DCS content on stream or youtube so geting it in one place is super convinient. Thank you, already subscribed to some of you. :)

Because he does not want to go through the part where he will "suck" at flying until he will get hang of the joyistick. Or at least thats what he told. Its the same why i will never play a 3D shooter with gamepad. Geting used to joystick takes time...

Just a question here. Is there a way how o disable the lady voice telling me to pull up? Or any other kind of BB (Bitching Betty) lines? It drives me mad while flight testing. :helpsmilie:

So I did few rounds today and I must say WELL DONE. It feels much more alive now than any other plane except for Mig-21 I have flew before. Landing is a whole new experience, taking off also! The pitch up and pitch down based on engine power feels strange but if thats how it behaves in real plane then I suppose it has something to do with the setup of fbw and the difference between pilot beeing alive or not. :) But this is how one could imagine naturaly imbalanced plane to be flown. It's like riding on a young horse, it wants to do things on its own and you need to be under controll all the time. And then the S key... well I suppose I will have to avoid it for few weeks :D I have one question though. How on earth it's possible that this plane has such huge inertia? I can keep stable speed even with minimal power. It slows down really slowly which will be a huge pain in formation flying. The slow air brake will not help at all. :D

And should the humming sound be heard during flying? Or should the APU (if that's the thing thak makes that sound) turn off after engine startup? I'm asking because KA-50 shuts it's APU after engine startup but I don't know if SU-27 should do the same. :)

Maybe you press it, move the stick to wanted position, unpress it and it will trimm it in that position?

The only reason to get X-55 over X-52 is the throttle. I have X-52 pro myself, so I would like an answer to this also, but when I look at it from the objective standpoint then I cannot find any other reason why to buy it. To be honest I hate the idea that I would buy again a spring loaded joystick and suffer the same problems I have now. CH package would be a lot better but SO MUCH money needed for that in my country it's not even funny.

Yes, the modules from steam work in standalone but not the other way around. I just bought two modules via steam and activated them here and have them now in standalone also.

Instant restarts without any error posts like bsod are usually caused by psu.

Is there any difference between DCS 2.0 and EDGE? Other than DCS 2.0 will be the first version to have EDGE?

From the hints I have read from the newsletter I have concluded this: 1. NTTR is integrated to EDGE 2. NTTR is sheduled to be released in late December The map cannot come out without the EDGE right? We are getting the best christmas present in years.

What version of DX will be supported. 11.0 or 11.1 or 11.2? Does anybody know? Thank you.
