  1. Thanks for your answer, I didn't try to do negative feedback, just didn't see anyone talk about this yet and as an f15 flyer it did affect me a lot so I didn't wanted it to be forgotten, that's all
  2. I've noticed that the size of the sprites is bigger when less zoomed. This is what, to me, makes it impossible to do any visual range estimation. If i'm fully zoomed i'll see that my target is at say 4 NM, but if zoomed out it will look like i'm in gun range. No idea of how to solve this, but that's realy something that should be looked into.
  3. I have tested it and it works fine for me. Maybe check your mappings?
  4. ''con altitude now depends on temperature or season, not quite sure which.'' Both (as they vary together). I tried to put the temp at -30° in winter...was conning below 5000' lol
  5. Yeah, the scaling does cause serious issues for visual range estimation...
  6. Hum...You can lock targets without problem and highly doubt they actually changed the FC-style radar in any way.
  7. I can confirm shuch things...Yesterday when I died I went into spectator mode in the 104th (don't ask me how...no idea) and I could see 5-6 airplanes just over the bull's eye at an altitude (of my view) of 35-40K'
  8. I think a one-shot kill is plently, especially for 20/30mm hits, as i'm pretty sure thoses bullets would give you a bad day even in the toe...
  9. First of, I have not played DCS with the Occulus, but I did try it. The occulus has a very bad apparent resolution (a 5'' 1080p screen<a 27'' one...) This makes it so that the image isn't anywhere close to a real screen. If you do casual flights, you might find it interresting for immersion, but if you like combat, big nono, as visinility would be a serious issue. This is also the opinion of some guy who tried DCS with the rift.
  10. AIs are using a simpler flight model, at least they were...As faot speed management, the F15 doesn't have the low speed handling most 80s planes have, so you must keep your speed and bleed it only when necessary.
  11. Logiteck 3D pro until you decide to go high quality.
  12. May I ask, Why this squadron specifically?
  13. GG ED I have a low end pc, I can run it with higher settings, MUCH better graphics and, to my biggest suprise, about 30 supplementary FPS, despite the better graphics. I was afraid EDGE would be made for high end system, I'm happy to see you've focused on optimizing! Also, the F-15 flies like a charm, so props on that too!
  14. Also, here's the video of the most hardcore fight I ever had with an epic end!
  15. This is why IRL you have AWACS. If we can have something like BMS where they can tell you if you are engaging a foe etc (we may have that, few servers actually use awacs) than IFF is only good for emergencies and for most fights you'd actually have a 100% sure IFF done by the AWACS. That would be great for me at least...I really don't see how lag would affect an IFF system...I didn't say random, I said more realistic. I honestly don't know too much about It, but I know ROEs exist because IFF in the 90s was unperfect.
  16. IRL The rectangles are guys that didn't reply/ wrongly replied to the IFF interogation. THUS they are no frendlies to the IFF channel you're in. BUT as the fighters are super-basic, they simulated a MAGICAL IFF WHICH IS PERFECT. So, in game, all foes are foes and all circles are friends, at least until we get either civil planes or a decently modelled IFF ystem. Also, as we are in a BFM topic, you MUST get the habbit of looking at your HUD before shooting (you should for the range anyway...) If friendly, you'll have a X in the target box that points to the target.
  17. The mirage will get an advantage at the merge (in FSX I would have a firing solution on friends in the F18 after like 20s lol) If F15 is good and makes it a vertical fight, or keeps his speed he might have a chance. On the other hand, if the Eagle bleeds his speed, all the mirage has to do is start scissoring and the eagle will loose for sure. I don't really know for the M2000's acceleration, so that's why I think going vertical might be good, in a turning fight though, anything appart an F16 can wave the white flag lol
  18. It's fairly well simulated too, I got a video of me dogfighting with only one wing too lol.
  19. OMIGUDDDD Great work!
  20. Haha nice!
  21. I want that robot to play guitar in a metal band lol!
  22. OMG O THOUGH IT WAS THE 9P ... My bad!
  23. I'm quite sure the 9L is rear aspect...If not Rear aspect must have REALLY been bad lol edit : I went to check on wikipedia(great source I know)...according to it 9L would indeed be all-aspect Which GREATLY surprises me as I NEVER had an head on shot with it!
  24. I can say that a year ago bomb craters affected the f15s. Also planes carcasses will mess you up good too. I don't know anything about the hangars though.
  25. I knew pedals wouldn't be useful to me as I'm into modern jets. So instead of buying some, I took my 10 years old momo racing wheel and pedals, removed the wheel and I now have pedals :). By no means are they realistic/great and I'm sure they would be hell for WW2 planes...But for taxiing, they do the job : they keep your hands free. And they are enough to get you out of really nasty stalls. What I'd recommend if your going to be doing mainly modern jets would be to do like me. I'm sure you would be able to get some old ones under 20$ (can't go wrong at that price...)
