I agree with Frostie. You should have been using radar there, I wouldn't have seen you ''more'' if you had it on. Probably keep EOS for sneaking up behind people/ post-merge. Not for head-on engagements where the enemy clearly has you.

Ok : First engagement with you : We went down the merge after you tanked your way out of an aim120 ;), I cannot know when you tried going EOS in that. 2cd fight : You simply never really seemed offensive... 3rd fight : We got down to 4NM at significant altitude difference, I guess its just EOS usage... The range has a big effect, just as much as for radar (light waves, whatever the leght, loose their energy at the same distance rate). The fact I wasn't on burner lowers that initial intensity, thus reducing GREATLY the range of detection. Currently looking at tacview, will upload it shortly

As I said, we were at around 10NM I think and I was out of burner, so it does not seem crazy that you didn't see me. That is for the second time, the first, I simply can't remember to be honest. I could go watch the footage I recorded/maybe try to get a track, but that is if I have the time.

R73 hits 100% if you are not in Rmin OR out of burners at the moment of launch. If you are at risk, either pop preventive flares or risk lowering RPM momentarily. This being said, keep in mind that if the flaker is loaded he'll be limited in the amount of G he can pull otherwise he'll turn into multiple flying objects...

Are you sure about 600 fpm? Assuming this means 600 feet per min thats 6 Knots... Is that in FPS or Vertical speed?

Hmm...What kind of lodout do you guys have? I can't remember having any trouble with the F-15, Although most of the time I land I'm near being winchester and with at most 3000LBS. Are you guys landing with three full bags? Or are you guys touching down at 250 KTS?

Take an arduino (I ordered a bunch for 3CAD each not long ago... DIRT CHEAP, can't say about the quality though, didnt get them yet : http://fr.aliexpress.com/?spm=2114.06010108.1000002.1.VESxPK ) Once you have an arduino just upload one of the many codes that render a given board into an independant joystick controller. Note that some of these codes might require a specific board, so watch out for that.

Well, while the amraam is not nearly close to being perfect, R-XX are just ridiculusly pathetic. Last time I used them, 50% of launches on the optimal intercept dot ended up in the missile pulling 30G's from launch, which isn't normal for a BVR missile.
