  1. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS A MISSION IN FLAT-ISH terrain!!! It does so long I hoped for that :) (Needless to say I can't wait to play it lol)
  2. Great video
  3. Pm me if you want that to happen :)
  4. Had first team fight in over a year and did some dumb stuff and glitched the game
  5. Peu probable comme tu es en France et moi au Québec à moins que tu ne dormes pas lol
  6. How to do it : 1-make sure it's not on fire (no point in starting it to blow up...) 2-Wait 'till RPM stabilises. 3-When stable, RPM will depend on your speed (normally around 30-20 if you weren't super slow or fast) 4-By bleeding off speed, get RPM sown to 8-9, than spool up 5-wait till it's going up, than bleed speed again to do the same on the other engine. Very easy assuming you have enough height to start with/speed. Also, if you try to start at higher RPM than 8-9 you might need to shot them down...not sure about that.
  7. I have played a lot in the 104th, usually my only deaths are due to things like ''unfair'' teams (stuff like I get into a dogfight while I'm being shot at from BVR) So I'm quite sure what I will say will apply. 1-I do not fire before close NEZ IF : -Ennemy is cold/flanking -We are in mountaineous zone, below 10 000 RDR alt (so usually about 15K') (Missiles are too easy to evade with mountains) -I have SIGNIFICANT height advantage (let's say 15K') 2-I NEVER go/push into WVR against a hot ennemy (for reason above and because a lot of people tend to suffer from radar operation, so I am 95% of the time first on the ennemy) The only times I get into WVR is because of mountains, which, as already said, allow you to evade almost any missile further than about 4 miles if low enough. 3-High or flat terrain engagements require a «preventive» missile at about half Pk. Without it you'll either have him on your defensive 6, or be dead 4-You are not rambo... as said, most my deaths are due to the difficulty of understanding that lol. Being smart gives you less kills, but keeps you alive. 5-Unless in mountains or HEAVILY crowded area, altitude is NEZ extension, wich means you have more time to escape while you have placed a deadly missile, wich often gives you a win. On the other hand, a significant height disadventage is only good when the other has a hard time with radar. If you want to see engagements from me, I have A youtube channel (description) where I explain this kind of decisions and it would show you how I do it.
  8. U-35 for unable... (just kidding I know it will be able to do the job)
  9. From what I know, F is fighter, b bomber and A attack(ground). So if you put anything else than F/A, you are kind if misleading... And a «B/A» aircraft would be a mix of bombing...and bombing so just B-35. Even the F-35 isn't really correct to me, as it looks like it'll have quite a similar rôle to an F/A-18
  10. You should keep your target in visual and check on it often and zoom. One way or another, in WVR fights where the aim-9 is involved you should have visual anyway, or getting defensive as you already fired. I'm not saying you should alway be maxed out zoom on him, just to pay attention and zoom when you think he fired. I used to check R-77s shot BVR with the zoom so it's not that hard in WVR. But with time you get a good idea of when they have chances of firing : If you're head to head, it's a great idea to pop some flares after you launched and go defensive even if you didn't see much, your IR missile are quite reliable, so IF you fired on good conditions, it should hit. Haven't tried FC2 though, only three so nevermind if they are really invisible.
  11. I can't speek for WW2 fans, but I see no point in having such a plane in a combat environnement...In real life, as many said, you die, but here you respawn.Taxiing and that kind of stuff was never a problem for me. Sure, at first, moving the TGP while moving the plane was hard for the first hour, but that's it. I already wonder why we need a jet trainer...we have 3 or 4( I think?) in development. What do you do in theses planes? Fly in formation...but F15s can do that to. Bomb stuff? A-10 can do that... The ONLY reason I could see myself flying those would be to humiliate someone like the A-10s A2A kills (this is obviously very personal, and I get that for some people they like theses trainers like they dream about fighter jets, but not me) So what will I say if they bring yet another trainer, but this time a civil one? Work on the god damn F-18 and edge already. As for new comers that never touched a stick before, I guess I could see the point, but only as a SFM and not ASM and cheap (so more like a mod) SO that after one week of grass mowing they know how to turn and can start handling big boys.
  12. Souds like she didn't like it XD
  13. I guess the best thing I can tell you is to play with signal strenght (shift+I i think) HI for face to face, MED for rear aspect and move the height of the beam alot and keep practicing :)
  14. My derp video list...More to come in the future! :pilotfly:
  15. I'm quite sure ground units can see through trees, wich will be funny if no change is done as edge has collidable trees...
  16. I tried it myself...lowers your SA quite a lot lol
  17. 100% agreed. You always want to make different mesurements in the same conditions, or by the same methods in science. ALTHOUGH I'd rather them do these planes fast-ish by giving one to do to a 3rd party than waiting 5 more years for the F-18.
  18. The Su-27 is generally better in turning fights. But as hadwell said, if you aren't close to stalling, you can beat your opponent. But if you hapenned to dodge some missiles before the dogfight and have lost your speed, the F-15 won't do much (i'm talking 200-300 kts). I do know the flanker has better turning performances than the F15 and I used to see a difference when I fight an 27 instead of a 15. Although it does about 2 months I haven't played (tooooo much exams) maybe things changed. About the F15 gaining speed back, it will, but if you can get your opponent eagle to go below 250KTS its a piece of cake to keep him at thoses speeds as long as your keeping the fight horizontal and he's pretty much done. Turning speed is often limited by over-g'ing so maybe the flanker was coming faster that you and you were able to turn faster because you were slower. And it's normal for the F15 to turn well at about 350-450 knots, it's where it's cornering speed is (more 400 than 350 though).
  19. Thats why mine is screwed onto my flying chair... As fot the question, do what the real plane has if possible.
  20. It's F-15A so it should be closer than the E, F15C Real World Controls.pdf
  21. I disagree with you on severals points : First of, to me the good thing of the warthog is the throttle, not the stick (I only use Pickle and gun and Master mode (+NWS) on the stick, wich can fit on a 10$ joystick if you find one) But that's juste personnal. Second of, In this thread, I and others were discussing the need of A STICK (i.e. logitech). For a BFM life, I see very litle differance beetwen my wathog and my logitech (hell of a jump budget-wise lol) Third of, do some BVR/WVR... BFM sure is more of a ''oh shit PULL'' game, but if you are going straight to your target you have no understanding of how missiles work and you'll get wrecked. But it is completely true that it is more of a chess game or a ''let's build up SA'' game than the dogfight wich are like an FPS in comparison. Finally, as I already said, I do not see how you'd benefit that much of the warthog in 60 years old planes excepted in formation...heck did the airbrake existed back then? On the other hand, newer hotas planes require more commands WICH WORKS ON A 30$ STICK (I did a long way with that myself), but I think your WW2 exemple is out of place (at least to me) This thread is about wether you need a stick or not. Not about if you need a high end stick (or why not a high end keyboard lol).
  22. Good to see you are listening to suggestions :) 80's aren't my thing but i'll try the great white hope if I have no exams lol
  23. This is for the F-18E for FSX, but it should be pretty close to the C. http://www.checksix-fr.com/articles/artilces_pdf/FS/VRS/checklist_80510.pdf
