So this is my sequence (to replicate): Find target with TGP, TDC depress to designate target. Set MAV DDI as SOI, press uncage. MAV seeker slews to target spot on and locks. Fire Turn away for another run, Set TGP as SOI Find new target with TGP, TDC depress to update target designation. Set MAV DDI as SOI, press uncage. MAV seeker wanders seemingly endlessly, nowhere near target. To fix: Press Cage/Uncage to cage MAV Press Cage/Uncage to uncage MAV MAV seeker slews to target spot on and locks. This can't be intended behavior right? Should work second time just as first no? mavf_test.trk

9/10 times when I get shot down and die or eject, select another slot, same aircraft type, my FPS is more than halved, seemingly locked to 30-ish. Changing aircraft slot to another of different type does not make a difference. Exiting the mission and restarting it does not make a difference. Only full DCS restart restores normal FPS This has been happening most noticably when flying the Hornet. I believe other modules might be affected but not sure. I run DCS in VR.

Not everyone has a 2 TB SSD.
-
So once the A-10C II upgrade is installed, can I remove the original A-10C module? I see no point in having both modules installed since I'm only going to use the new one anyway. Also waste of SSD space.

Is this mod compatible with the new cockpit?
-
It has to to with at what angle you're diving. Let me see if I can find that video again... EDIT:

Thanks man!

So I revisited M-2000C again today and alot of times there's a seemingly "memory" track that will forever remain on the radar display, showing target data and everything up top. How do I get rid of it? Clutters my shit up.

The way I do it is designate WPT as Target, when close enough for roll in, I start dive against target and as soon as I see the target diamond in the HUD I press Undesignate which puts the bomb in CCIP mode.

Let marshal give flights a stack holding altitude
Wizard1393 replied to Wizard1393's topic in Wish List
Sure, thats possible for the "regular" mission. But then there's dynamic MP missions where AI and players are spawning whenever... I don't believe in that kind of "static" solution to the problem. -
An explanation to the "Correct as is"-tag would be appreciated ED. Perhaps it is correct as is, if you're not using the Unrealistic TDC Slew option (Unchecking the "Realistic TDC Slew" checkbox) My hope and guess is they just forgot this was an issue and it will be fixed/adjusted in the next OB to work with the unrealistic TDC slew.

[ALREADY REPORTED]MavF display broken on latest patch
Wizard1393 replied to Stubbies2003's topic in Bugs and Problems
My MAVF image is also very very dark now since the Aug 19 OB. Not at all like imacken's screenshots above. -
I know this is prebriefed IRL but... In DCS, either with AI flights and/or in a multiplayer "dynamic" mission there's no prebriefed holding altitudes. For the sole sake of deconflicting, even if not 100% accurate according to IRL practices, the marshal could say something like "111, Holding altitude 3000, Report see me at 10"
-
I think it's better indeed, but it's a tad darker than the other two displays no? I can see the left and right DDI's and read their text with no problem, but the AMPCD is a little darker and hard to see. This is even with the map turned off.
-
Yes. I could have been more clear about exactly what cockpit lights I was referring to. Agreed, it's been very poor since the new pit was introduced.
-
I think you missed the bottom edit :smilewink: So, you're saying, that daytime you see instrument lighting in the A-10C in the latest OB? I can see the warning panel lights, NWS light and navigation source button lights fine, but all the analogue instruments and side panel label lights are barely lit at all, at full turns of the lighting knobs.
-
I'm on the latest OB, and I can barely see any cockpit instrument lights, except for the flood light, which just makes everything glare. And the MFD's brightness are wayyyyy too high. You ALWAYS have to turn it down to almost 0 to be able to see anything on the TAD or TGP. Also, tuning the brightness/contrast in an MFD displaying the TGP in CCD-mode so you can see anything, will make it impossible to see anything when switching to WHOT/BHOT-modes. There's definitely some brightness/contrast/gamma issues going on STILL in the latest OB with the A-10C. Especially regarding the MFD's with TAD and TGP views. The cockpit lighting is not as critical an issue, but still definitely exists. EDIT: All shadercaches cleared offcourse. Also, I'm in VR, don't know if these issues are present in 2D but I bet they are.
-
I'd say the A-10C in general i definitely worth it. But for a long time now it has issues with cockpit instrument lighting and also MFCD and TGP image brightness issues. I would hold off until fixed.
-
TGP image is very often very bad right now :(. To be able to see anything but white, you need to turn down brightness very much and increase contrast a little on the display. But after you've done this, switching to WHOT or BHOT modes you won't see anything at all, gonna be all white or all black. And also, when pointing the TGP at a burning wreck, not even centering on it, but as it comes in the picture at all, it will alter the entire image alot. This makes the TGP almost entirely useless when you've shacked one unit in a group, because you won't see the rest of the group. TGP is no good these days. :(

Having issues with Kneeboard with all aircraft except the A-10C
Wizard1393 replied to RTS354's topic in General Bugs
Yeah see post above. He means those aircraft folder names needs to be like he stated. -
This has been reported in other threads. Many (if not all) aircraft is basically indestructible. It's not just the MiG-25.
-
@Eldur I agree the haze is really annoying now. Seems overdone. The A-10C TGP can't see anything in CCD mode because of this.
