She is shooving sidewards (also with wheelbrakes on) but: only in 1.5.8; NOT anymore in 2.2.0 :)
-
Together with the content of your signature, this remark is not very flattering for the topic poster i.m.o. Now, it happens that I know him very well and by that I also know that he is somebody who reads all the manuals through and through and study the weapons he uses before posting a topic about it. I also know that he once flew the "real thing" (F104 and others) and was even a test pilot of her.... and therefore certainly is not ignorant about using weapons etc. :) I.m.o. remarks of the kind you make should be made a bit more "holding back" I think!

The ones who were able to afford a system that can handle the F18........?
-
2.5: for after they have "laid that egg", ED has more time for all further optimizations and extensions.
-
Yes, how could that be possible: when I was about 15 years old there were these advertisements in the papers about becoming an F104 pilot (pretty dangerous in that time!!) and I thought, that should be great: but not everyone is accepted :) Now I fly online with one of them and he even is my neighbour :) He is the type who wants to learn all the specifications of the aircraft and I'am able to be a bit lazy about that because I can simply ask about "which button does that" :smartass: He also makes the missions so that there I also can sit back and wait. Well, we are about the oldest on this forum, I think, but still enjoying DCS a lot :)
-
Maybe allready mentioned: - what is the price of your system (complete)? - how much do you use it for DCS? - do you seriously think about NOT buying the F18?????
-
For less then EUR 40,-- (regarding the bonus): offcourse I will pre order!
-
Magnitude has the Corsair in the "to do" list.
-
Great: thanks for that information :) (I hope that I don't deserve the meaning of your signature )
-
Possible allready in the same mission? (repairing, refuelling and re-arming: yes, but switching to a different type of aircraft too?)
-
Possibility to switch aircraft in a mission (also in multiplayer): after re arriving at the airfield, changing to another type of aircraft.
-
Making a calculation: about EUR 50,-- .......wow, that's a real bargain for the most sophisticated aircraft for the most sophisticated combat flightsim for private use at this moment :)
-
Flightsimming since 1984 and combat flightsimming since 1988: enjoying most the F/A 18 interceptor and F16 combat pilot. Feeling young but aging 72 now; however not at all a problem for combat flight simming :) We, my neighbour and I, do multiplayer flights (now with the SU 25 / 33) and we esspecially like stategic AG flights, carrier flights, AAR flights etc. Interesting for me is that my neighbour once was a F104 flyer (and even a testpilot for the F104) and it is always nice to listen to his stories of the past (once he nearly crashed and only recaptured his aircraft only a few metres above the ground!). You can count my neighbour too with an age of 71 (he is not so much a "forum man", so probably, he won't mention it himself :)).
-
That is frustrating!!; I never experienced this.. I understand that you have the same problem also at other starting positions?
-
Thank you very much and I also wish you all a very good 2018! Great that you will develop the Corsair :)
-
If you take the "long" take off starting point, you can load pretty much: I had: - 98% fuel, - 4 bombs, - 3 rockets, - 5 AA missiles and she managed without problems! But don't ask for " clearance" if you want to take off in this position: the carrier "take off barriers" of both the short take off positions are risen and you cannot pass :(
-
Training is needed for these landings and...........accuracy: landed with a wire 1 or 2 approach; afterburner on and waiting for the full stop, of which I was very sure: nope: whaaat (also pretty low on fuel): forgotten the hook :( Another approach and it was wire nr. 1 (with 2% fuel) :)
-
Yes, the centre should always be in the centre but, when calibrating, it might be necessary to move the stick to all positions to get a neutral start position. But if it is already presented ok in the calbration, then it should be ok.; and also both engines are the same in output? and your rudder is also in the central position?
-
Next to the new 2.5, I also like it very much now, that the 3e party developers are ED certificated: I can remember, when a new version of a welknown flightsim (you know which one) came out in the past, there were all these compatibility problems!! Now, we have no worries :)
-
And you have calibrated the stick offcourse........; and was the curve there normal (with the centre at the right place)?
-
The A10C is really a MASTERPEACE of software: I think (no, I'am sure) the best in flightsimulator software together with the outstanding documentation for private use. I, also, come back reguarly to the A10C to experience the beauty and to learn some more :)

Still optimizng my carrier landings: - 85% catching a wire (mostly nr.1 or 2) - 15% missed and have to make another approach but................recently (bad approach / not enough concentrated) I had 2 crashed at the rear of the carrier: don't like to tell you this but it is the truth :( One time, I had wire nr.3 but I came over the edge (front) of the carrier and bungled looking at the sea (however, I thought that the weight was pretty ok and the landing speed not all too high)

- trim full up; - flaps "on"; - Lshift W: wheel brake start "in"; - full (100%) power until the 2 green afterburner lights are on; - Lshift W "off" together with: - Lshift E special afterburner "in" (for these Lshifts I have dedicated buttons on my Hotas) and there she goes up in the air and after that reduce power etc.
-
Yes, in the same flight: the, not connected, flyer became nevertheless fuel :)

Whaaaaat: logged 10.000 hours: really?
