  1. Really looking forward to this, looks like you guys are making great progress!
  2. I'd like this too but generally I have no problem with the Australian accents as the campaign is so immersive. They've put so much work into it that I'm happy with what we have. Probably one of the best campaigns ever released for DCS!
  3. We'll need the fan whenever we get to Nevada...seriously, it's really something special about the cockpit of the Mi8. Will we also get functioning wipers on the front the aircraft like the Ka50 at some stage?
  4. All of the screenshots flowing out of ED are made with EDGE so it's got to be close this time. As much as I'd love to have 2.0 during these cold and dark winter days, I have no problem waiting longer if they do it bug-free and right.
  5. Great newsletter. The 3rd Party Single Player DLC looks promising as well.
  6. I tried this one a few days ago and I still managed to get to about 200kmph and keep up with them. Try and get off the pad as fast as possible, point the nose down and give it all the power you can.
  7. Hey guys, this is a great campaign but it keep it keeps crashing right after I take off, somewhere around the third mission in (I think it's called assignment in flight). Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and found a work around?
  8. Let them get it operational in reality first.
  9. I was trying to find a bit more information on this series but came up with nothing. Seems the trailer is a demo to get studios interested. Did anybody come across any information to suggest its actually in production?
  10. There should be a button to "turn on the pipper" somewhere below right of the hud (I think).
  11. It would make perfect sense to include Saudi Arabia in the Hormuz scenario. As Stratos said, the majority of their fast jet fleet is included in the game. Add the E3, C130, Apache and Blackhawk to the list of Saudi aircraft as well.
  12. Bump. Same problem for me. I use Alt-C all the time. Can't find the option in the Mig.
  13. It really really frustrates me that those fans aren't working. I agree with you on the gunners but didn't the Americans drastically alter their Mi8s in Afghanistan? I read somewhere they cut an extra piece out of the fuselage to mount a minigun - that might be a bit too much to implement for Belsimtek.
  14. This was already discussed a few times and it is highly unlikely, considering it is a non-standard loadout only used by Syrian Mi8s.
  15. I think the MIG-21bis modelled by Leatherneck is a lot different from the MiG-21PF operated by North Vietnam. It would need a bit of work to get a proper flyable MIG-21 included in a Vietnam scenario.
  16. Enjoying the campaign but after not completing a mission successfully, it seemed to roll back to the beginning! Never had that in a campaign before and had to complete the missions again.
  17. Well, according to the latest newsletter, Belsimtek are now working on the MIG-15. But, there was an assurance that they aren't disregarding previous products and are still working on the Mi8 manual as well as the module itself. Seems someone is listening to us :)
  18. Thanks for the tips Java and YoYo, I'll give it another try and see if that works.
  19. Interesting discussion - I personally think a lot of this has to do with the environment one is raised in, parents etc. In my corner of Ireland, we're seeing a lot more crime (petty stealing), mainly because the parents don't give a damn and young people are growing up with no sense of morality. Not sure how it is in the U.S. but I guess some places are worse than others: http://www.statista.com/statistics/232559/motor-vehicle-thefts-reported-in-the-us-by-state/
  20. Well Neil, as others pointed out, I gave them my money. Nobody is unfairly criticising Belsimtek - the vast majority of people here are more than satisfied with the Mi8. However, the manual is a core component of such a complex module and there is a feeling that the Mi8 is getting left behind while they start churning out other stuff. Basically, a signal or piece of feedback from the team indicating that this will actually be finished is all I want. At the moment, the lack of activity, lack of comment and release of further modules shows the Mi8 could be left in its present unfinished state. This is just about simple clarification.
  21. I really wish we could get some feedback from the developers on this one. The Mi8 is an absolutely fantastic module and surely it wouldn't take too much to finish it.
  22. I really like having the choice. Sometimes after a hard day at work, I'm not in the mood for something as intense and complicated as the A10C. Better to the the SU25 for a quick and easy spin.
  23. Hmm I'm not sure how this would fit into the sim. Seems like an improvised device to carpet bomb and kill civilians which is only used by the Syrian military, certainly not a standard Mi8 loadout.
  24. Unfortunately it still didn't work! The trigger appears to be broken. Hopefully there's some way to fix it.
