Wonder what kind of price it would be if ED were to get a license to use Nvidia's proprietary rendering products? Maybe if the goal is not to high the community could help! Just a thought. -
Ok thanks! The first 32 special buttons makes sense since windows only see's 32.

Sorry BR=button row and BC=button columns. I was abbreviating. thanks for the tip on snipping tool ill try it. So I guess I am not understanding you method of wiring. But if you count on the the top pic. There is only 6 button rows and 6 button columns for the matrix 6x6. You wire 3 encoders to 1 button row because there are 2 outputs per encoder you are going to take up 6 button columns. Here's is how my encoders are wired right now. This is working currently for me with encoders. I havnot tried to add buttons to this matrix with encoders. So i can't comment on that. But in theory if you wanted to add 6 standard buttons you pick up one more button row for 6 inputs of buttons and add the outputs of the buttons to 6 individual button columns like the encoders.

So how many encoders can you use on mmjoy? Right now I have 6 encoders for 12 buttons? So I have programmed 1-2 , 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12. If I wanted to add more encoders. Need another board?

Ok so I used this pic of promicro I believe Mega_Mozg might made this pic. Not for sure.I think some one asked to annotate the BR and BC pin out so i used this. Maybe try moving the BR and the BC per this pic assignment. And use the VKB button tester to test. Iam also not sure about the Button assignment I used buttons 1 for 1 and 2 for 2 just because I didn't know if they were supposed to match. But in the beginning I was having so much trouble with previous version of mmjoy I decide to leave them in numerical order. Then i used this to find the pins for the BR and BC assignment.So this is where you assign pin out for mmjoy. As the top pic there is only 6 BC to the Promicro. And I am not sure if you can flip flop pins to use BR for BC or BC for BR. I'll post pic of my PCB i used for 3 encoders. Just for reference. But i used 1 BR for three center pins. Then the Outer pins the signal when encoder is twisted has it own BC. Since I have 2 PCB's for 6 encoders I tied second PCB to the same BC Just used another BR to power the other three encoders! Then the center push buttons are tied to shift register. I had to manually wire those cause Frizting didn't have the pin out for the encoder with center push. And i am inexperienced with Eagle pcb maker. Both PCB's tied to one spot on promicro/BC's the green,blue ,white,red,yellow and black. Also Diodes on the boards.

Here is a pic of what i programmed plus you have to use the VKB button tester to test it. open tester select the USB device in top pull down menu. I am sorry I have no idea how to make a good,clear pic. I took screen shot of desktop and pasted in MS paint tried to resize but anyways and its still same size and a horrible pic. What Arduino board you using? edit-fuzzy cell fone pic. I am using the button rows B2,B3 to feed 6 encoders center pins and each outer pin sends back to the board D0,D4,C6,D7,E6,B4.

Which version of mmjoy are you using? I was having same problem with a older mmjoy version 20151118. For my mmjoy version for encoders i am using 20161101.

Hello Shortcut, how does X Plane adjust for that? Do you know what setting its adjusting to clean the stretched sides up? I always thought it was a product of the FOV setting. Farther out you push it the more stretched it the sides get. I have 3 monitors I forced in to 7680x1440. Not for sure if it will help.I have tried Bezel correction when monitors are in Nvidia surround and it cleaned it up alittle bit. It was still stretched but i felt not as bad.Since the bezels were aligned between all three it made it seem more natural to me. The other draw back when I am in Nvidia surround mode it defaults to native rez 5760x1080. So i couldn't run the 7680x1440.

Hi, Correct one board is 6 columns and 1 row. The through whole below the BR is vacant/not used in OshPark Pic. Ok so the PCB pic above was the first board I made. It works but i didn't like the pin setup it makes you have to use 8 pin dupont connector with a gap between the wires. So I flipped the last whole so you could use a 7pin dupont connector and keep all the wires tidy in one connector. I realized after i soldered board up my mistake.. Other problem, FYI these board was design with the non push button encoders. So if you get the encoders with the push buttons you have to wire them separate. I used Frizting to draw these and Frizting Library didn't have a part for push button rotary encoders. I am also new to PCB drawing so if there is a better upgrade to the board feel free to critique. Thanks!

So even though there is a small presence of being in a scuba mask, would you say that during flight operations your mind is on flying you don't notice the sides of the rift. Your focus takes you beyond the sides of the Rift?

Hello, so the Rotary encoder acts like a intermittent button press. So you definitely can use to adjust the Frequency on the radio or anything that can be assigned as a button press. I can't comment on voice attack if i need to stack encoders with multi functions i use modifiers. -

Nice.. I would be interested in how you attached the tubing to the base and the handles. I have a modded X55 too! I was hoping the precision in the throttle was one of gained attributes. Personally I thought I was all done with my Franken throttle now I got another project to do. So a few pics if you have time would be cool. Either way would be awesome Thanks! -

Hi, Awesome job on the throttle. I am curious about throttle handles. Am I correct there are extension on the handles? And the action how does it compare to stock height. Do you feel you have better throttle control? Maybe you have PICs as you modded the throttle? Thanks! -
Wow that is really cool. Thanks for posting this, I wasn't feeling too good on my Rift purchase. I was felling more like we would see Rift fall away and no support. But sounds like there plans of moving forward are still in motion this is cool.

Wondering why the price drop? I read Zenimax has filed a injunction to keep Oculus from selling Rifts with there software code! I guess that means trying to eliminate all inventory before they get told to stop selling.

Hello all just got my CV1 a week ago.. It is worth it. Its pretty awesome I love the feeling of sitting in the cockpit. I was a little worried about the screen door effect but you start to look past that. Amazed as the cockpit gauges and buttons stick out now and ability to peer over the side of the plane and look at the ground or stick your head out the side of the cockpit while flying the Spitfire. I'm hooked. Have some question though! The VR software that is used. It is the interface with the HMD to produce the 3D picture? The HMD's are dsiplay devices only coupled to a software render? So if vr software was developed and optimized for DCS would we have better performance in game. I get the impression that VR games designed for VR get better performance. Currently I am still using WIN 7 is it a benefit to move to WIN10 for VR? Thanks for the time.

Hi all, Got a question. Can you configure MMjoy to slow down a axis? I use a thumbstick with 2 10k ohm pots for TDC slew. But when I move the stick from its resting place lets say from 0 to 10. The closer I get to 10 the faster the cursor moves.I would like to cut the speed in half. I have tired using the saturation in the axis tuning section but I think there might be something not right its maintains it speed it works for a bit but later in the mission or flying session it speeds back up again. I like the speed when I use the TDCslew with a hat switch which register as buttons presses. If that makes sense Thanks!
