  1. It was in the release trailer at 0:42 seconds Confirmed in the prelease notes on ED's website null And ASC just confirmed on their discord under the C-130J videos and suggestions that the load master can walk outside of the aircraft all the way to the wing tip and around the entire plane.
  2. Appreciate it my friend! I can get off in the weeds on a great way to incorporate FPS stuff, but I think the logical transition would be something like JTAC or CCT's to start. Plenty of use designating for our current modules, can work on incorporating the foundations needed for possible FPS in the future, and gives the C-130 crew the ability to incorporate something spectacular in VR that has never been done, HALO/HAHO jumps. I think this would be killer to start with. C-130 and JTAC coordinate an insertion mission with air units. JTAC/CCT jump in and get on station and start a nine line when ready with whoever is inbound. Once the target(s) are eliminated, get to the extract point for pick up. This could in turn provide yet another opportunity for the CH-47 or even the Huey with ED's assistance to pick up for extract. There is a lot of good material out there on the equipment they use and I am sure a lot of subject matter experts that would be willing to assist with the authenticity of its implementation.
  3. Absolutely. 3 main suggestions below. In the video, I time stamped (1st, 2nd, 3rd suggestion). I inserted real world footage of the below suggestions if you need examples (not my personal videos). Have you looked into maritime insertions with RHIBs (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats) or Zodiacs. Would you be interested in it? Would you be willing to look into rolling insertions and extractions in the Desert with wheeled units such as Hummers, ATV's Ect? This was used in Afghanistan and Iraq with Special Operations and would be a first in DCS and 100% applicable to the maps we have. The C-130 will play a pivotable role in DCS Afghanistan and Iraq. You are the first to create the first person walk around experience in DCS. The C-130 was essential in all SOCOM insertions (HALO/HAHO) into Afghanistan and Iraq. Would you be willing to be the first dev to invest time in making a small JTAC/CCT team, AI or Playable for utilization in DCS. These units could be deployed to lase for other aircraft and then extracted by players using a number of helo modules. If first person has been implemented successfully with the C-130 (looked awesome in the trailer), I feel this presents another opportunity to capitalize on an untapped area in DCS. A small JTAC or CCT team would be a solid first intro for expanding ground operation but not going full shooter. It would allow coordination with other aircraft and be a solid addition to C-130 creating the most realistic simulation of Halo or HAHO jumps. I can only imagine the Hype of us VR players walking to the ramp with each other at 22K and having a player load master give the signal to jump. The C-130 has a real opportunity to make that special in my opinion based on what I have seen thus far. There are plenty of Vets out there that would probably be more than willing to help you get it right.
  4. @baltic_dragon Baltic, I heard you were going to be interviewing Matt with ASC about the C-130. You think you could watch my video above and throw a few questions in there for me. Be curious to see what he says. Specifically, the Maritime insertions and the JTAC/Halo first person stuff. I would greatly appreciate it. I feel like there is some real untapped potential with the C-130 that they could bring to DCS.
  5. I wish I could assist but I have been playing ITJ on the server with the latest version we released and have not encountered any issues. Flew last night, but did not record. One thing I have changed though is I turn off my antivirus/spyware now when I fly DCS. I noticed it was causing the performance issues. I only turn it off when flying on DCS though. I would recommend opening in the mission editor and taking out the IDX to start with. Then maybe disable spyware/antivirus if it persists. I hate to say it, but this is the problem we run into playing a mod heavy mission. Especially with every new update. I know the last update that reverted back to the previous version fixed a lot of issues with mods and missions. You may give it another shot and see if anything has changed. I wish ED @Wags @NineLine would consider making @Eight Ball Eight Balls VAP pack an official addition to DCS. It is stellar from the AI perspective and has really provided some much needed assets to DCS.
  6. During the interview with Enigma, Matt had asked towards the end of the video for suggestions or additions we would like to see or maybe they missed. This video covers those suggestions from myself. Time stamps included. The 3 suggestions have some real-world video I was able to locate while I narrated.
  7. About to post a video tonight with some suggestions to add to the module. I really like that Matt (ASC CEO) asked the community to please provide feedback on any features or functions they may have missed or we would like to see. I do not expect implementation of every or anything I suggest, but I do appreciate the request for feedback.
  8. Agreed. I know we have it coming for the super carrier, but it makes sense to do this with other modules. I would highly recommend watching the interview Aero plane Simulation Company did with Enigma. Sounds like they are the ones helping spear head the logistics portion of the gameplay and really setting some new records with things they have implemented into the module, to include first person.
  9. @Wags @BIGNEWY @NineLine Gents, quick question for ED. I pre purchased the C-130 and noticed in early access there was going to be the ability to walk around inside the aircraft and out upon release. I was under the impression ED was waiting on updated tech to accomplish this. Does this mean we could see the same for the CH-47 in a closer upcoming patch, or is this functionality for the ED modules still a ways out?
  10. Just FYI Gents, I am not 100% sure how bad ITJ has been affected by the latest update, however it's not sounding good. Kandy is getting better, and we touched base briefly today via text. Sounds like one of the community members who was instrumental in assisting him on providing scripting advice has encountered some major issues with how ED is coding DCS now to protect their work if I understand correctly (not a coder or software dev). Sounds like some game breaking issues are starting to pop up or could with mod maker or mission developers, so please be advised you may encounter issues with ITJ. I would love to say we will fix them, but from what i understand, the way ED has structured the code now could possibly prevent us from correcting future issues. Hopefully ITJ continues to work, and I will test tomorrow. I did see Bignewy was reaching out to people for feedback, but I am not sure what that entails. More to come.
  11. Best I can suggest for the time being is to go into the mission editor and delete the mods that are no longer working in game. I flew the last two video over the past 2 days and have not run into any issues. I know that's not what you want to hear, but I am having trouble replicating the issue. Also, with ED's new patch this week, we were waiting to see how it affected ITJ I noticed last night the Huey's were dropping out of the sky again. Unfortunately, this is part of the problem building a mission centric around a ton of mods. I have been tempted to scale it back to just the VAP pack, Cayuse, and Bronco. When ViolentNomad releases his Cobra and we push this out again, I will probably remove the static boats you do not see very often and the ones not being used.
  12. I can talk to Candy about removing it if its no longer out there. It was really only for looks. Let me see if its no longer part of the link.
  13. Fare enough. Just trying to see how many people out there would enjoy it. I will save this hype train for another year when ED is closer to having the above missing building blocks if that ever becomes a reality.
  14. @bugeater2 Well GREAT news! Not sure what happened the other day but just made it through an hour of shear chaos on ITJ and got it recorded. No issues this time or hang ups. First flight I fumbled the ball multiple times and got shot down. Second flight rescued my pilot in the Cayuse, dropped him off, then found one of the AAA and took it out before RTB. Third flight was in the OV-10. Took out the group that shot me down in the A-4 but not before loosing an engine and crashing landing. Still survived. Overall, great time jumping back in. I will post the video tomorrow.
  15. MAN!!!!!! I shot a video and decided not to release it until I go back in and test again. I took the A-4 up had a great run and got shot down. Jumped in the Cayuse and tore it up, picked up my pilot, dropped him off, then did some low level stuff and got hit again. Everything was running GREAT with no issues for 45 minutes. Hopped in the Bronco and everything was moving fine until I got over the AO and the flak started. All the sudden slide show city. 1 to 2 FPS if I was lucky. Could not get it unstuck and had to force DCS down. I need to see if this is a flak/asset issue or a Bronco issue. I am going to test again in a few hours. More to come. If there are problems, it may be a long while before anything gets corrected. My wingmen are both in the drink right now with separate issues and have not been on DCS for weeks. Going to be longer before I get the boys back in cockpit. I will see what I can trouble shoot from my end and go from there. I had a blast jumping back in so let see where this goes. We got the F-100 inbound this year and the Cobra. Need to keep ITJ alive.
  16. I started this thread to provide constructive open-source data to ED if anyone finds it for the F-35. I would like to keep it that way please so the community can assist ED if possible. I do not want this thread closed down. I will say as a free content creator, myself, Kandy, and Zipper created the "Into The Jungle" Coop mission that many have run on a dedicated server as well as the ED servers. We have multiple modules on the mission. Some aircraft far exceed others in performance. The key is to provide each player with a role specific platform to their choosing. Ours is a little unique where we do not have opposing red force players but randomized AI units. I have flown on those servers as well though as the red opponent and did not feel cheated. If there are concerns of an unfair advantage on public servers with a superior platform, I would highly encourage you to check out all the open virtual squadrons. There are plenty that range from casual to mid-mil sim, to straight mil sim. This would prevent the concerns you have of unfair advantages when playing on the opposing side. You could also find some people you trust and set up your own server to fly with them. That is what the boys and I do. One more thing I feel I must point out because this is not the first time I have heard it, you are absolutely correct Blue Force units hold the advantage on the battlefield in DCS. It is the same in real life, so in actuality, DCS is crushing it. American Military superiority dominates the red aircraft, so it should not really be a shocker that the F-35 would join that party. If you need real life examples, look at the Air-to-Air combat engagements from Desert storm/Deseret Shield going forward and convince me we have not dominated the skies since. One last keynote. We have never been under any pressure of keeping a server full. Anyone who hosts a server through ED or dedicated is not making money off of it and has no real incentive to keeping them full. A lot of times, its way for friends to link up and fly and most do not go through the hassle of launching a dedicated server or password protecting their ED server. I support the F-35 development and acknowledge it for what it is and will become in DCS. I think you will be just fine continuing to find servers where you are not getting smoked left and right if you are a red force guy. But if that becomes the case when the Lightning II is released, then welcome to 5th gen fighter reality against aging Russian equipment lol.
  17. Here is another one I just flew. Pretty cool There is a camping utility for MSFS that allows you to set up anywhere. Took the UH-1 from the mountains down to the beach and set up camp. Another good flight for the Vietnam vibe. This is Taogs Huey. Made for MSFS 2020 but work with 2024.
  18. Planning on testing ITJ tonight to see how its running. In the meantime, Taogs Hangar just released their OH-6A Cayuse for MSFS 2024 if anyone wants to get after it. HIGHLY recommend it. @tobi @Eight Ball If it was not for Tobi/Eight Ball's Cayuse mod, this would have taken longer to get acclimated to. Startup was spot on with their mod. Still have to tip my hat to those guys for the amazing job they did. Wish they could make an official mod like the one below for DCS. Thanks again gents, still continuing to fly her to this day. Still waiting on @ViolentNomad to get his Cobra out (I know he is busy and its still in work)
  19. Outstanding to know since they NEVER place anything on sale, NOT ONCE have I seen this, AND they are probably the highest priced aircraft out there for that sim. I have almost pulled the trigger several times, but held off. Flying Iron has crushed the WW2 scene in MSFS. HIGHLY recommend all their products. They are working a B-17 now for MSFS 2024 and then the team said they were redirecting all their focus to wrapping up the A-7. Really impressed with them.
  20. Outstanding find. I wondered how fast this would pop up on here. Plan on picking her up and getting acclimated while the Lancaster team continues getting her ready for DCS. Appreciate this post.
  21. Hook worked fine, it was the pilot who made the error. I had the binding reversed in the wrong direction on my throttle. What I thought was down was up and up was down. It is fixed now.
  22. Let me take a look tomorrow and see if I am encountering the same issues. I HATE to say this, but since work has been super busy, they guys have been out for personal reasons, and I have been hooked and my lost love (Corsair), it has been a while since I flew it. Let me see whats going on and I will get back with you.
