  1. CH still is operation and fully functioning. They have mailed me new pots recently free of charge. I'm not following what your exact issues is. I run CH on windows 10 64 bit. I also just did a fresh install of Windows 10 due to an HDD failure. CH works just fine. So it leads me to believe there is some form on user error here but i don't know what your having an issue with. Here is my full process 1) Install CH software before I ever plugged in the USB devices 2) Plug in all CH software 3) Create a profile that does not combine controllers and doesn't use the scripting 4) Download Profile 5) Click the uncombined controllers button 6) Go to calibration within CH and now you should see the actual names. Stick, Throttle, Pedals vs device 1,2,3. 7) Whichever way your devices are named that is how DCS will read them. So if you program while you're stuff is the actual names but then forget to click that button one day. DCS will read device 1,2,3, and show defaults until you leave and uncombined them. If you can not get CH products to work properly there is something wrong with your system and not CH. Because it works fine on a clean install of Windows 10. I can tell you the issue is not CH because so many people use it without issue including me.
  2. You don't really need to see the target in your maverick. It is hard to see through the mav sensor. In ideal cases you lock via TGP, slew mavs to that, and fire. Now when you're trying to get a lock with the mav and you notice it move when it locks up. You might have just locked terrain, building, or some other target. If it stays pretty much in the same spot you know you're good and locked.
  3. In 2.1 I've tested wingman taking off with me. They seem to only take off one particular way regardless of wind changes. So maybe you went to the wrong runway and he went to the right one? Or ATC well it isn't that great to start with. For 1.5 there is a set of fixed missions in the user files on here. Someone went through and fixed a bunch of errors with the default missions and uploaded them.
  4. I'm not sure what mission you're playing but if it is a default ED mission a lot of them broke. You can find fixed ones on the user files section.
  5. We added the autolase/smoke script for now. Reading up on MOOSE.
  6. JTAC is still very much hit or miss. Even on default ED missions https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138196&page=4 I brought this thread back to life because ED really needs to reassess it. Sometimes they work 100%, sometimes they quit during the mission, sometimes they don't work at all. Very familiar with line of sight and how to use JTAC. But so many reasons why it doesn't work. Another thing is if radio comms becomes too much. It gets back logged.
  7. I assume their products from 10 years ago are game port then and not USB? Unless converted? Even so hat could explain the problem. 10 years of the same product is a lot of use. I wouldn't blame you for wanting to try something different.
  8. Glad to have you! Always welcome to give feedback here but we do have a bug report and feedback section on our website. Link in the description! Have a good one.
  9. My experience with TAW is ruined due to their Escape from Tarkov division. Spamming people with IMs for joining. My friend and I had to report them on the EFT forums just to get it to stop. I haven't had good run ins on a couple other games either. Big groups tend to have more bad apples. Much more fun with small groups of people you can get to know.
  10. I'm bumping this thread because I've been working with JTAC is mission building. Sometimes LOS is a huge issue even when it says LOS is no issue. We put JTAC in the middle the enemy targets just to make sure they work properly. Just discuss any and all JTAC tips, tricks here for mission building. EDIT: JTAC is still a cluster. It works perfectly one moment then completely fails the next. I know that comms can get bogged down but I was playing the default mission for a10c shooting gallery. Testing out the JTACs. After two different objectives they wouldn't respond on the radio anymore. Neither JTAC would give tasking and this mission is designed to have 5 total objectives. Doesn't make any sense.
  11. I want one of these. It looks quality and reviews on VKBs other products is amazing.
  12. I'm running windows 10 64 with USB CH products. Some people are trying to use older game port stuff. You download CH control manager, install it, plug in CH stuff and it works. My HDD died and I had to go through this process. I'm already up and running again. There is something seriously wrong on your end if your products don't work. Also you might want to research the warthog for complaints. I would never purchase one and I fly mainly the a10c. It pains me to see how junk they are and they are about to make a whole lot of money on F18 junk. They are not worth the money they ask for. That is my opinion. Both of my buds have the warthog and they are not completely sold on the idea but its the only hotas they own. One was a CH guy like me and thought it would be cool. He gave his CH stuff to his son and wishes he didn't.
  13. I purchased my first stick, throttle and pedals that I ever owned from CH back in 2013. I bought it when I was playing Arma 2 DayZ. A friend showed me how awesome controlling a helicopter was with their products vs my keyboard piloting. Now I was a damn fine keyboard pilot but never knew how smoooth it could be with flight gear. I graduated into IL2: Cliffs of Dover and eventually to DCS. CH has lasted me through three different states and the moving to go with it. The product is solid and will last a long time. I would recommend this as the budget flight gear for anyone looking. It is straight forward, the programming software is also straight forward. The build quality is durable and they back their product. CH uses potentiometers to track the movement of all their products. Well just recently I had an issue with one in my stick and one in my pedals. My controls would drift all on their own or not respond properly. CH told me I was no longer in warranty. After a few emails they agreed to send me one for my stick. Later my pedals had an issue and they sent one for that. The internals are basic and it was easy to replace. All connectors, no soldering required. My gear feels brand new. I can't see needing another set of flight gear for any reason. I believe it to be the best bang for your buck flight gear you can find. Thrustmaster is over rated and giving them money for that bundle of junk just encourages them to build more junk. I've seen the videos of what people have to go through to use it. If I buy a new stick it will be from VKB sim and not because this one failed. Just because I'm looking to try something new for fun. CH stick works great for the Huey. I can fly that better than anyone I've seen online. I'll back CH products for a long time as long as they back their products. They've done good by me. Hope you find the same experience or think about them the next time you need some gear. Have a good one!
  14. CH sent me free replacements of potentiometers for my stick and pedal. I'm not even in warranty.
  15. We run a 1.5 and 2.1 server. 1.5 is the popular one. All 1.5 is going to be popular. For one thing everyone has the map. It isn't in alpha state and isn't buggy. I will never fly WWII on DCS. It doesn't nail that aspect of combat for me. IL2: CLOD with Team Fusion mods are way better in my opinion. Heck TF guys got the source code now and plan to release a brand new IL2 CLOD in the future. They already released the TF mod version on steam. Anyway. Numbers grow when things are not alpha state and not buggy. Performance is also another reason not to play on the alpha maps.
  16. Through the inferno offers a full coop experience. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185281 We have a discord and use SRS. Lots of helpful people.
  17. bump. I just had a hard drive failure and needed to remind myself how to get my controls back into DCS.
  18. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185281&page=11 You can check our server out. Its a COOP server. Only our squadron missions that also are done on the public server have long range SAMs for SEAD when we do a mixed flight. We have people who fly variety of aircraft. Laid back server and squadron. All of our a2g missions have variety of SAMs/AAA threats that any decent pilot should be able to handle if they fully understand the capabilities of each system. If not..well lots of people make mistakes and get shot down.
  19. I fly 1.5 on steam and 2.1 standalone. Works without issue. I purchased everything i own on steam. From now on I'll be using the ED store. All steam keys worked on 2.1 without issues. I can't wait for the merger and the updated 1.5 map. It will look even better than it does with terrain mods.
  20. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185281&page=11 https://www.pilotedge.net/ We have a server for 2.1 and 1.5. Its a coop server. No live ATC but we use SRS radio when online. Right now 2.1 is a bit unstable so most of us are on 1.5 Pilot Edge was experimenting with DCS world on Nevada. They offer live ATC servers just like VATSIM or IVAO but the difference is that Pilot Edge pays their ATC and hires former, current ATC controllers. Many real world pilot's use this as an opportunity to learn better ATC communications. There is a 2 week free trial then you must pay for the service. Why pay for it? Because they are top notch and always available during business hours. Look into it. I think its what you need or want. You could even fly your super hornet on it with P3D or FSX.
  21. I don't know if it will help any but i have a CA tutorial on my youtube channel.
  22. I haven't fully tested it but it appears to be set up properly now. As awesome as this is it seems like it is much better suited for people who do solo missions. That is where the F menu is used a lot. Campaigns would work great with this.
  23. Just to respond to what you said lefty: Friendly fire happens and the people who do it often get removed. The server has an auto kick and ban system with no tolerance for friendly fire kills or hits. They only get one accident. If there is a bigger problem we're always reachable on discord. Any mission that is that far for a helicopter is not designed for a helicopter. You can create a mission for helicopters through the F10 menu, checking in. When you request active ground targets via F10 menu it will show all ground targets for jets, helis and multirole. Just pick the grid closest to you or create one. Right now you're given grid and nearest city/airbase. You can use the ruler on the F10 menu to give yourself a bearing to take. This is the first iteration of the script and it appears to work very well. We may work for more details later on. Thanks for playing and your input.
  24. We've done a few things Grimes mentioned but there are and were scripts that do what we are looking for. Just hoping some one has one and is willing to share.
  25. We had a couple updates to push that couldn't wait. I think we did that twice yesterday. We apologize. Had a lot of good flights though. Hope you enjoy.
