  1. I'm looking for a high quality dual throttle. As long as it has a good enough selection of controls to be versatile, I don't really care what it's a replica of (or if it's a replica of anything). I'm currently using a Virpil CM3 which is fine for the mix of controls it provides and the software is great but the hats, buttons and grip could all be be better. I'm also not a fan of the very short arm which causes it to rotate excessively through it's travel. I've had WW and TM, underwhelmed. Is there a higher end option that I'm not considering who are actually willing to sell to private individuals? For some context in terms of quality, I'm happy with realsimulator and virtualfly. I'm hoping that the falcon matters EF throttle will actually happen and be what I'm looking for but in the mean time, any ideas?

  3. If you use the NS430 or if you play on some of the really busy multiplayer servers then you need 64GB otherwise 32GB is okay.

  5. When adding another GPU for more displays you don't need any motherboard support - you aren't going to be having them in SLI/NVlink. That disables the ports on the second one so it's not what you want. This also means that your second GPU doesn't need to match. Also, check how many displays your GPU supports, it's not uncommon for them to have more ports than they can use. USB display adaptors are useful. Be aware that they impose a non-trivial CPU overhead and they often don't like being connected to a USB hub.
  6. When I built my cockpit I threw a cheap 40" TV that I had lying around on it. It was... Adequate. Everything moves pretty slowly in a flight sim, even with a head tracker, so a poor display isn't as big of a problem as with other games. Upgraded a couple of month's later to one of the LG monitors linked above and the difference is huge. Massive improvement.
  7. You either need to reinforce your mount or reduce forces. I had to build a full new mount and reinforce my cockpit frame. I doubt you'll be able to use it with the wheel stand pro without reducing the forces considerably.

  9. It sounds like you're looking at the digital binds, not analog. You can't bind an axis to a control that's looking for button/key press. Select the axis binds in the drop down at the top-left.
  10. Your can? If you're got the virtual buttons configured then you can bind it as buttons or axis or both at once and can pick & choose for each module without reconfiguring your throttle.
  11. The tailpiece in the TM grip needed to be replaced anyway (because the stock one is cast zinc) so getting a steel one with the angle built in made sense.
  12. I can confirm this. In the short term the tailpipe will become loosen leading to a small amount of front/back slop as you cross the center. Very annoying and one of the two screws you have to tighten is not externally accessible. In the longer term the tailpiece will distort. You can get a steel tailpipe and epoxy bed it to solve these two problems but it's not exactly cheap.
  13. Yes, the F35 throttle was the point of designing the linear throttle. Neither has ever been offered for sale though. However they have been showing off their VR training seat to professional users and these are fitted with the linear throttle with either F35, EF2000 or F16 grip. Hopefully this means production is imminent.
  14. The WW and TM both have less linear travel then they should, which impacts precision, and have shorter arms than they should, which results in more rotation of the grip. A full travel linear throttle is a better compromise imo although I would prefer a throttle with the correct arc.

  18. And the phantom will likely not be finished for at least a couple of years. The phantom hitting early access doesn't free up developers.
  19. No, you wouldn't be able to simulate the F16 force sensing base. It measures displacement.

  21. Or a switch to disable it. That would be perfectly fine. The best bit is when you add a controller for a specific aircraft and it incorrectly autoassigns to every aircraft requiring you to edit all of them.
  22. This is built into windows and allows you to calibrate any USB device that shows as a game controller. You don't need anything proprietary to calibrate them. Is there something unique about the TQS which prevents you from using this to calibrate it?
  23. If you mean - do RS offer a base that isn't force sensing? No. ETA, they do offer a gimballed base for eurofighter as part of their professional range. Price on application...
  24. I am extremely dubious of that. They give you their own tool but they cannot replace the one that's built into windows.
  25. Using the game controller calibration built into windows doesn't work for it?
