Low FPS confirmed and the culprit is most definitely the spinning prop animation. While I was flying I accidentally hit the ground with the prop which caused it to stop spinning but I was still gliding and FPS went back at stable 60 as always. I hope devs can sort that out soon.

+1 The FM is quite believeable for me...the roll rate could be a little faster/snapier...anyways..going to see tommorow the awesome fishbed performing over the airbase here :) And also there will be some on display

OK, found the culprit and the culprit is me :D. After deleting options.lua and setting up new options I left accidentally the preload radius to max. That never worked for me so I set it up to how I always use it and all is fine again. Sorry for the inconvenience and me posting about the issue without double checking everything first (that option slipped by me). Thank you guys for the will to help and cheers!

I have set cockpit vibrations to 0 to see if that is the case but it isn't...I will investigate some more

well thats strange...only with the mig. I am aware its a somewhat "heavier" than other modules due to 8k textures. Fps counter drops to max 55 when I am low and above really populated areas but it stays at solid 60 all the time.

Since todays last DCS 1.5.5 update I experience a lot of stutter that makes flying practically impossible. Few days ago, prior to todays update I downloaded the latest Nvidia driver 376.09 and DCS ran smoothly even with the MiG on that driver..all was fine (but before that I also got stutters). After todays update, as I said stuttering has returned. I already tried deleting options.lua from saved games folder and that did not work. Then I completely reinstalled DCS and the GPU driver using DDU, tried it again with no success. This started to happen quite a lot with last updates and that is a real mystery to me how something that used to work fine repeatedly has such issues. Here is a track file if it could be of any help. No matter what option I choose for the terrain shadows (off, flat, default) they are always forced in I presume "default" option (where all objects project and receive shadows). That option eats fps for me, would be nice to have flat shadows activated. Tested in vanilla dcs without mods.

Mustang, those options seem to work. The issue I was talking about is with these settings for the terrain shadows..no mater what option I choose, DCS is forcing i suppose "default" option (where all objects have self-shadowing)

It is realistic for the speed brake not to extend while landing gear is down. It is to prevent accidents while on the ground (the AB i fairly large so it might colide with something on the gtound)

This, I also notice this effect only when the gun ammo is empty or when I select 0 rounds in ME. Maybe the ammo stowage is off-center..

hmmm..maybe you have mistaken the moon for the sun? The moon seems larger/more prominent than before..here are two screenshots..I dont have any lens flare option selected... the sun in front the moon at the back

Some fixes have been implemented since the beta release also...one of the biggest positive surprises for me is that DCS runs smoothly again since 1.5.3. Been praying for that to be taken care off :)
