  1. pg 5 --- this para... "The F-14 is equipped with an internal 20 mm M61 Vulcan Gatling cannon mounted on the left side (unlike the Phantom, which was not equipped with an internal gun in the US Navy), and can carry AIM-54 Phoenix, AIM-7 Sparrow, and AIM-9 Sidewinder anti-aircraft missiles. The twin engines are housed in widely spaced nacelles. The flat area of the fuselage between the nacelles is used to contain fuel and avionics systems, such as the wing-sweep mechanism and flight controls, as well as weaponry since the wings are not used for carrying ordnance. By itself, the fuselage provides approximately 40 to 60 percent of the F-14's aerodynamic lifting surface depending on the wing sweep position, mainly due to the lifting body characteristics of the fuselage." did you mean F-4 ?? pic
  2. i would just like it the system to REMEMBER where i was last - its like i have to start all the way over from the root directory ----- this kinda sucks : /
  3. i think ED does a great job on visuals - they always have - going back to the original flanker sim, ED stood out with their visuals i would like graphics to advance to the stage where the textures vary from aircraft to aircraft - heatblur said they were going to have different wear-and-tear on cockpits - that idea should be extended
  4. scroll up a little bit the dev won't be making any more fixes : /

  6. its got to be important in WWII and cold war Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  7. wow --- impressive response
  8. yeah! if we could have that... that would be great!! graphics-wise its somewhat similar to the smoke from the A-10 (but less - obviously)
  9. i wonder if anybody else has noticed this... i'll be making multiple runs on a target area with laser mavs - i'll be off target, turning away and climbing back up - and then the mav triangle in the HUD will start sweeping back and forth, as if i uncaged it only i hadn't anyone else seen this??
  10. so i built a mission, then i checked in F10 and clicked on a unit saw the track and the waypoints thought that was pretty cool! never seen that before! pic... https://photos.app.goo.gl/5KY1o25qkbxhRkAV8 so i tried it again - but it didn't work! it only worked once!! please fix that 8) thx
  11. this is definitely an issue - confirmed again just now
  12. gorgeous! looking *very* good
  13. for Pete's sake... me too! did we have to uncheck the box then check it again (because I did that)?? or what because, swear to God, this functionality has been broken for MONTHS for me ??? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  14. WHAT well.. what the heck is wrong with MY system?? how do i get it back to the way it was?? ((i'm on open beta - if that makes a difference))
  15. [CANT REPRODUCE] save / save as - DCS "forgets" currentdirectory referencing this post that was just (mistakenly) closed... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3965552#post3965552 when in Mission Editor and i navigate to a folder, subsequent returns to that folder (ie.. "SAVE AS" or simply open another mission) the "focus" returns to the top level directory instead of the current working folder the person who responded said to check the "folder behavior" box and i thanked him for the suggestion without trying it first i checked the box but that is not restoring the functionality i am describing - that just displays or hides the folder structure to the left of the folder window i would like DCS to "remember" the current working folder instead of have to navigate back down through nested folders this is standard windows user interface behavior that we are used to and expect thanks guys : )
  16. oh! was not aware that that option existed ---- looking for it...
  17. that's smart - yeah, will give that a go but its an interesting phenomenon isn't it would be nice if we could count on a JTAC/AFAC regardless of how many actually show up
  18. oh.. there's a press and hold not just momentary Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  19. oh! okay - thank you very much : ) have a great day gentlemen!
  20. when you start to taxi, you're on NWS (low gain) then you depress the pinky button on the joystick grip and it transitions to NWS HI but then you can't go back to LO after that you've gotta cycle the launch bar (EXTEND - then RETRACT) is that how its supposed to work? shouldn't it alternate between HI and LO with subsequent presses??
  21. seems as if i create an MP mission with two players but actually only man one unit, the Reaper drone won't answer me when i make the initial radio contact [ to be explicitly clear... the GROUP consists of two units and player type (SKILL field) is "client" - and only one of the two units in the group gets manned ] when i change the mission to be SP (desig the aircraft as a "player" aircraft in the ME - and the group consists of just the "1" unit) and i fly the mission, AFAC responds i flew the very same mission earlier in the day with someone (MP session) while i was hosting, and AFAC responded just fine also.. i noticed during the SP mission that while i had MAV-F onboard, over the radio they were called MAV-G and when the AFAC responded, they requested I use cannon (instead of the mavericks)
  22. will be interesting reading the reviews preferably from someone who is able to test all of them together
