  1. i'm just trying to fly a simple mission - just wanted to learn how to program the JDAMs and drop them on some crop circles attached mission freezes at startup ---- does it work for anyone else?? NTTR Open Training__31a_HORNET_JDAM.miz
  2. i would get the whole set - if able...
  3. yep... same issue just get used to it : ) nothing's perfect - someday we'll have VR that's how i handle it
  4. then you lose the fine control you need with small TDC movements
  5. if i could offer some feedback... i've actually had my hands on a legacy hornet HOTAS - the real-world TDC moves very easily and depresses very easily - and the cursor moves both slowly on the screen (and thus yields accurate cursor control) when you make small inputs and quickly across the screen when you make large control inputs in my admittedly un-qualified opinion, the force currently required to depress the TDC is approximately twice what it should be i find when i go to click (depress) the TDC, it tends to also record a movement of the cursor away from the radar contact (or IR target - etc) that you are attempting to designate unless you apply an inward force *perfectly* along the normal axis of the TDC, you'll get some movement away from the desired cursor position

+++ please ED some day?? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  9. good comparison - 4-part series here >> https://fightersweep.com/author/cw-lemoine/page/3/ i also liked this article... https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/f-16-vs-f-18-a-navy-test-pilots-perspective.169261/
  10. stable version https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3911320&postcount=16
  11. DCS used to "remember" where your current file is saved now we have to navigate from the top level directory and drill-down to your preferred folder for those of us with directory structures, this is laborious (and a little annoying) as i said, this used to not be an issue in DCS - it automatically remembered where your mission file was saved and all you had to was click SAVE (( note - what i do is keep "versions" - i'll rename a file after i make changes - that way if i really screw it up i can go back and start over )) could someone at ED please fix this?? thanks!
  12. also, the F-15E is a completely different aircraft from the F-15C just sayin... don't come back with "we've got a strike eagle so you've got your eagle" mmm.... not really
  13. C-model !! lets request as late a model as possible (please) yes.. the eagle is a powerful a-a platform - it enjoys tremendous advantages in DCS its kinda not FAIR that the eagle is so "brute force" powerful yet inside the cockpit its so simple what if the eagle in DCS retained all its power and performance modeling, but pilots had to attend to such complex cockpit functionality as in the real-world? buttonology... IFF... radar mechanization (and maybe an update on the radar modeling used - as much as practicable/possible... radios/TACAN/squawking/nav/etc... ) that would even it up a bit dontcha think? ED? please?? 8)
  14. request to ED... would you please make the AI tankers turn faster? maybe say.. 2G turns? that should tighten it up just fine the tankers' orbits currently range all over the place - they're not confined to a certain area (like they need to be) i'm referring specifically to the KC-135 but ideally all of them - we need to keep these orbits from getting too big -- and while i'm on this subject, this could actually be applied to all aircraft orbiting - if you look at the AI CAP patterns, they also turn too gently fighters should turn like this... at 300kts turn at 2G - 350kts / 3G - 400kts / 4G that way you don't get these CAP orbits that cover an entire county -- if people balk at a tighter turning tanker, perhaps this enhanced performance could be made a selectable menu item... high performance tankers - yes/no that way ppl who have trouble staying on the boom in a 2G turn can de-select that option and keep their slow, lumbering tankers this has been bugging me for a long time and i'm only just now taking the time to bring it up thank you very much
  15. oh for pete's sake! this is what we call looking a gift-horse in the mouth!
  16. so.. you're saying some time in 2019? after that it will be 202X :) Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  17. is the plan for *all* a/c RWRs to behave this way? or only heatblur's a/c??
  18. fascinating insight ---- but i think there's actually a bug in DCS where everyone on a side gets an RWR lock indication if ONE person on that side gets locked - it wasn't like that, and then the bug popped up and... that's the way it is now ---- would be nice if ED could take that on i'm sure its on the list...
  19. what do we do if RAlt-Num0 doesn't save for us?? i get everything set up like i like it, but when i come off pause i'm still too jammed up into the HUD its like this on all the modules
  20. 100% just considering how much time is spent in instruction in preparation and demonstrated performance FOR YEARS for an aviator to even be allowed near a front-line a/c... and then years in type after that perfecting the art.... and silly villains expect to download a module and start waxing SUs after a 15min fam flight to get their hotas setup
  21. (( who's cat is that?!? ))
  22. *cough*EARLY ACCESS*cough*
  23. well.... lets not get ahead of ourselves here
  24. up and running ---- took a little jiggering and determination but i got it going cannot recommend highly enough - fantastic addition
