  1. A fair point, but also in that video that ground probably couldn't get any softer. Soggy British ground, yikes. Nevada probably wouldn't have problems to that extent. I guess multiple different ground roll situations wouldn't be something worth modeling.
  2. Oh yes, sorry I forgot to specify that it was just the modern ones. The prop planes work fine.
  3. Has anything been said, publicly or otherwise, if DCS 2.0 will address the on-grass handling of the planes? Because currently there is NO on-grass handling, you become permanently stuck, even with full afterburner, if you run off the taxi-way. :helpsmilie: Even the SU-25, which should be able to be launched from improvised runways, cannot roll on grass. :D EDIT: forgot to say this is only a problem for the more modern planes, not the tail-draggers
  4. I agree, that would work well and allow all planes to be more viable.
  5. I don't think it's impossible or anything and I'm all for using all the aircraft we have, but don't the Hawk and C-101 both not have RWR? And the F-86 and Mig-15 definitely do not have RWR. Aren't they just going to take the 21's radar missiles in the face, from BVR, without knowing they're coming?
  6. That would make sense. I would think they would want to lock the nose wheel when landing at speed.
  7. I like the idea, but how would you keep everything else from being creamed by the Mig-21 and it's radar & radar missiles?
  8. Thanks for the response, I didn't know it had been reported before. That's unfortunate, hopefully they can make some changes to it in the future. :(
  9. Thanks for the update. Even when there is nothing crazy exciting happening, it's still very appreciated that you talk to the community and keep us in the loop. :)
  10. Bump Any more acknowledgement of this issue?
  11. Nice dodging! Unfortunately I never knew where my attacker was.
  12. Your video didn't embed correctly, or I'm just getting an error.
  13. Got it. Step 1: Avoid Tunguska Step 2: See step 1 :D
  14. It's not getting any easier! :punch:
  15. That's interesting, do chaff or flares help against it? Or do you just have to dodge it?
  16. Interesting, I wonder if it's modeled in the sim.
  17. I got my wing blown off today with a missile and realized my weapons were still attached.... to NOTHING. I managed to take some screens before I died. :D (I am not running any mods, also this happened in multi-player)
  18. I got shot down twice today by a SA-19 (Tunguska, right?). :( I thought it was firing heat seekers, but then I checked and it killed me with 9M311 semi-active radar missiles both times. I didn't get a lock or launch warning either time. I thought the RWR should give a warning for this type of missile? (I did have a ALQ-131 pod turned on, if that makes a difference)
  19. Yeah, the A-10A is also suffering from the same pipper slewing problems as the SU-25A. Hopefully some fixes are lined up for the next update.
  20. Is this confirmed or what? It's very annoying. The cursor stabilizes until you try to move it, then it swings with the plane until you stop trying to move it. :( It's also happening with the A-10A.
  21. Why does my Maverick want to lock on to power line towers so badly? There will be a white hot vehicle right in the middle of my camera and it will jump all the way to the grayish metal power line tower on the edge of the screen, it's very annoying. I can't target anything if it's within 30 meters of a tower. Is this correct behavior for the Maverick? PS: Happens with both infrared and charge-coupled models
  22. I concur, I was going to say that the Typhoon probably wins a straight-forward 1v1, but in large scale team engagements stealth makes such a difference.
  23. Yeah no problem, I always keep an eye out for any possible changes to our Mustang. It still needs some love.
  24. That would seem true for most unguided munitions. I would think almost direct hits are required. Maybe another reason to use cluster munitions?
  25. If I had to guess, I would personally think the FAB-500 would be used a lot. The Russians seem to use those for everything.
