  1. FoReIgNeR NL 4 hours A-10C with travel pods =)
  2. Check here for the solution to the saitek evo force problems: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2307010
  3. Thank you sir!
  4. And also: did you set the gear lever to down/extend? It needs to be in that position before you attempt emergency gear operation.
  5. I'm 75% sure that there is an emergency pressurized air supply, and accompanying valve, somewhere in the aircraft which feeds the emergency gear and flap release =) If it's not this valve then it might be located somewhere else... I'll have a look at this later when i get home, can't really test anything here at work [emoji14] Edit: and no, I don't mean the red tongued valves
  6. Yes, i mean the one at 3 o clock, my bad. Not behind my PC, but I believe it's this one: Also not really sure if this valve only applies to flaps and/or gear. I'm certainly not an expert in this bird and it's a shame that there's no full manual out yet... Anyway, I managed to extend the emergency gear on multiple occasions with the same procedure as you describe, including opening this valve. The gear extended extremely slow whilst I was rocking the plane. Again, not sure if rocking or pulling positive G's is actually modeled and has an effect in the emergency gear release procedure, but it certainly won't hurt. Is there anyone with some more definitive answers?
  7. Did you open the emergency air valve thingie to your right (not at your knee, but at your pilots 9 o clock next to the seat)?
  8. Exactly, a constant TAS of 870Km/h ensures subsonic flight throughout the entire troposphere and tropopause ; )
  9. I just calculated/created reference graphs for all you metric Mig-21 armchair pilots =) Two graphs of Mach/IAS and Mach/TAS versus altitude. All in Km/h and meters. IAS/Mach versus altitude TAS/Mach versus altitude Cheers!
  10. Great! Who can provide some first images for us guys who don't have the opportunity to fly her right now? =)
  11. ***just pre-purchased in anticipation of a near release***
  12. For my DCS videos I use Shadowplay. It records full HD at 60fps without any significant frameloss or lag. Works superbly for me =)
  13. My altitude record in the 21 is somewhere around 90,000ft. Procedure: climb to 14km (clean configuration), accelerate to ~ Mach 2.1 (the lighter the better) switch on second reheat stage (emergency afterburner), point the nose upwards and soar towards the stars =)
  14. I had the same with the Evo force before I bought my trusted TM Warthog. However, I passed it on to a friend which plays DCS now, and it doesn't crash. The trick is: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71506
  15. Haha, great =) Thanks for the answer! I guess no more immelmans in the C-101 till AFM then =)
  16. True, true, but even without elevator effictiveness you have inertia and momentum. If you watch my vid, the plane's attitude was falling to the left (i.e., angular acceleration, or at least an angular velocity). This stops all of a sudden, and then the nose of the plane jitters around a fixed attitude. As an aerospace simulation programmer, and having quite some real-life flight time myself, this seems like changing from one discrete condition to another (speed very low <50kts: ground handling behavior switch)? Note that the plane comes back alive when the VVI indicates a negative value. By the way, this is not an accusation, I love the plane and systems modeling! :worthy::worthy: But I just wanted to point this out. I know it's SFM right now and that AFM will surely fix this =)
  17. I will attempt to make a vid: and the behavior is that the plane sicks in an attitude, not only the ADI Edit: This is true for the hawk too Edit edit: uploading Edit edit edit: here you go: attitude freeze. During the peak of the stall I was full stick aft: pv-7-kHnlZM
  18. Sometimes (am I'm sure it's an SFM limitation) the aircraft attitude sticks in one position during unusual maneuvers: Nose up stall with 60 deg pitch (and full aft stick) will freeze the attitude. You will come falling down with the same 60 deg pitch
  19. Give this guy some credit! I have great respect that he can fly and fight with keyboard and mouse only! It's like seeing a crippled person running a marathon, like playing a first person shooter with a game controller, or like driving a stick shift with only one arm and one leg. I'm sure you could become very good with mouse and keyboard only, but it's not really a question whether it's better, or even just as good as a joystick + throttle + rudder pedal setup. For one, you can't dose the control inputs with keyboard, it's either 1 (full deflection) or 0 (nothing). I would love to see a video of you flying a helicopter or WWII bird (sim mode) with keyboard, but don't think it's possible without mimicking an epileptic attack in bashing the keys. But seriously though, it's all about enjoying the game itself. I'm sure you can have just as much fun (albeit limited to FC3 aircraft) playing DCS with a keyboard as with a joystick. That's what it's all about [emoji106]
  20. Another thing, I always forget to set the pitot heat... my bad, but the altimeter gets stuck at FL165 and the speed at whatever it was. If I press the pitot heat button, the speed indication will come back, but the altitude stays at FL165, even if I descend to MSL with 20 deg celcius ambient temp and fly for 15 minutes...
  21. I think *hope* it's a silence before the storm. In the latest Q&A Wags mentioned that the MP implementation will be radically changed: dedicated servers, filter on ping, country. And besides that, getting on board with the current industry MP standards is a must for DCS =)
  22. Any word on the "Right shift + \" dcs crash? Is it the module or my settings?
  23. Bug report: DCS crashes with the C-101 when I press "right shift + \". can I contribute in any way by submitting a track, miz or log file? Edit: problem is repeatable for the C-101 and doesn't occur with other modules/other aircraft multiplayer (haven't done C-101 MP yet). Is it my settings somehow or a (very minor) bug in the module? Really appreciate this fantastic bird!
  24. Happy owner signing up to the club! Preparing to fly her for the first time now =) Edit: Wow she's a beauty! Great job on the modeling guys! Time to explore the systems! Edit edit: I'm truly impressed, this is the best SFM (not feeling like SFM) aircraft out there as of now! I am really looking forward to the EFM, must be absolutely brilliant. The systems model is also amazing.
  25. G remains close to 1 and certainly positive =)
