  1. I told her the same thing, but apparently she only asks me to make me think I actually have a say in the situation.
  2. Greg, could you tell me the stats of how many times my "IAS MAX" betty was tripped in my Ka50, divided by the number of night missions the server had, multiplied by how many total rounds I fired from my 30mm canon? Also I would be interested knowing what color my wife should paint our kitchen? Reaper6
  3. Wow... Red put tons and tons of effort into winning. We also were discouraged from time to time by server issues, but we didn't give up. There are pilots with tremendous amounts of skill on both sides. To say Red won by default is rather obnoxious. Reaper6
  4. You have no proof of this.
  5. Why does Bluefor keep crashing the server everytime Redfor are making progress?
  6. Always a pleasure flying with you guys, and being a part of the blue flag event! See you at Vaziana :)
  7. Looking forward to getting back into my beloved BlackShark, after a long absense. Hope to see you all at Blueflag! Reaper6
  8. They should really put in some type of voting system to temporarily ban then from connecting to multiplayer all together for XX period of days with an XX number of votes required. Reaper6
  9. This is generally used on high flying, fast moving aircraft. You must have significant altitude to use this weapon on the KA50, at least above 1000m AGL. It gives the missile the time to get speed, as well as gives it some room to drop without hitting the ground. Reaper6
  10. Well just to name a few... *Entering multiple flight plans/ and switching between them *VNAV features *editing flight characteristics for digital HSI such as predetermined altitude and speed. * searching for anything on the map by name(airports, NDB, towns etc etc). *Converting coordinates for use with PVI( TGT points, FIX points, IP etc) *searching engagement distances, or attack positions(ERBL) *Using the digital HSI for navigation in poor weather conditions(if you input the info). *search Satellite signals for ANY position on the map, useful in bad weather conditions. *Knowing how much fuel you will have at a certain waypoint. There really is too many to list. When I use to give instruction on the ABRIS it would last up to 2 months, 2 times a week for an hour each. It's not the easiest system to learn, but for me the most useful. Reaper6
  11. I would have to completely disagree. ABRIS is one of the most if not the most useful piece of equipment in the KA50. People just don't bother with it, because they don't want to spend the hours upon hours that it takes to learn its features. Reaper6
  12. It's blue HEX
  13. Wow! That's really all I can say. Reaper6
  14. I'm not really sure how people manage to cheat in DCS. I also thought at a couple points people were cheating. I was hiding in some trees in a hover, so I shouldn't have been picked up on radar. Somehow they managed to find me and shoot me down. But after speaking with him he picked me up with his aim9 seeker(my apologizes to that pilot). I guess I could also be called a cheater, because it isn't realistic to hide in trees, or skim the ground at 1m in order to get in and kill ground vehicles. But on the same note it really isn't realistic for a SAM to shoot you thru the trees. I think people use to their own advantage the way the game incorporates or does not incorporate certain aspects. But is that cheating? If the general consensus is yes, then I will do my best to alter the way I fly the Shark in round 5. I think there was also some problems with "trolls". Coming in and killing their own coalitions vehicles, or running into people at airports. I really don't think there is a whole lot you can do about that though, other than hopefully catch them and ban them. As for folders, if someone is doing something there.. Absolutely! if there is a way to check them, I'm all for it. And they should be banned not only in the Blue Flag server but in others as well! So if there is someone caught doing this, let me know! I will get them banned from all TAW servers as well. Reaper6
  15. Thank you, Thank you very much :) You guys run an awesome server, I was glad to be apart of the campaign. Reaper6

  17. I think you have to click on which unit you are getting routes for. Reaper6
  18. Yeah I was a little confused where the thread was going myself. But here is the supposed system that the Shark would use. It is able to detect IR missles as far as I know. And although this system would be nice, I doubt ED has any plans of ever putting this in game. http://www.rg.ru/pril/article/40/03/99/zashita.jpg Reaper6
  19. I thought it did with the "show route" option? Reaper6
  20. Stingers are Heat seekers, so I am not sure I understand what you are saying? They wouldn't show up on a RWR regardless. Reaper6
  21. I agree. I use the same method from time to time for resetting my heading. I have also used the HMS and TOT for resetting my heading, each person knows what way is best for them. Reaper6
  22. No it does not work for moving targets, just the intel at the time you get into the Shark. All air defense including EWR is shown on the ABRIS. I'm not an expert when it comes to RWR. But as far as I know it really only gives you the direction, whether it is within launch range, and what type of threat. So for me, I think I am better off just using the ABRIS in the Shark. Just my opinion, but if you are flying a helicopter gunship you should be flying it pretty close to the dirt. In which RWR wouldn't help you anyway. Reaper6
  23. I would have to agree, you most certainly need to be familiar with trimming the KA50. Normally you don't really need to trim all that often because of the AP dampeners, as in other rotary aircraft. I use the trim for long level flights(over 30km), or for Hover Hold. After that you can concentrate on spotting targets and destroying them. Reaper6
  24. I really don't see much of a need for the RWR in the Shark. You have your ABRIS which incorporates valuable intelligence. It will show you enemy Air Defense positions, as well as a threat overlay. If you use the ABRIS you can most certainly plan a route that will keep you out of range of the SAM/AAA. In my opinion it is 1000% better than having RWR. To my knowledge no other aircraft(in DCS World) has that capability to give you the EXACT location of enemy air defenses, radar emitting or not. 25. There is also a mod pack for HESCO baskets, concertina wire, and many other static objects. unfortunately if all the players do not have the mod pack they will not see them. I really wish DCS would implement them across the board. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121620 I think you can actually include them in the .miz file, but I've never actually tried it.
