Have you tried the “ВКЛ – АВАР” (On-Emergency) switch. “ВКЛ” is normal mode and “АВАР” is emergency mode with doubling all EKRAN messages with VMS sound. Reaper6

Well you technically could "make them" perform a2a refuel. Thru mission editor take all the fuel away from the airfields and fill their aircraft 1/4 full. Then they would have no choice but to a2a refuel :) That's also a great way to get rid of the trolls from MP servers. p.s. remember "get the bird in the cage", AND DON'T PUT A DEATH GRIP ON YOUR HOTAS. Considering the cost of a TOW IIB missile is upwards of $60k each with a range of 4km. at 4km looking thru the site of a BFV it is nearly impossible at that range to estimate(not that it can't or hasn't been done). And generally if you are using the TOW missile you are in reality attempting to engage targets beyond the range of your main gun(2km AP / 3km HE). So any current vehicles with the capabilities of employing the ATGMs most certainly do have a laser range finder(and is implemented in DCS). Reaper6

I would prefer they did not add "easy air refuel", it makes people lazy. Just my opinion, but this is a flight simulator and although you aren't able to feel the movement of the aircraft it is as realistic as possible. It forces people to become better pilots, and train constantly to perfect tasks like these. Air refueling is one of the hardest tasks a pilot will do, second only to landing on a carrier at night. Keep training and practicing, you will soon be a champ at air refueling! Reaper6

I think they just haven't added some of the features with the 1.5 beta. A lot of the original functions seem to be missing, mainly in regards to the ABRIS. I would assume with the full release this will all be fixed. In regards to which ATGMs use laser guidance are irrelevant, considering the shooter must know the distance to target by way of laser ranging prior to launching the missile. So you should in fact receive a LWS "range" warning. Especially with tanks shooting main gun rounds, they must first range to target. Reaper6

What is the position of your beacon mode switch?(Remember that "AUTO" mode is not implemented) The ADF is merely homing in on a radio signal, so in theory the closer you are the more accurate it is. If you were to park right next to the Beacon it should be the most accurate. It's not really meant for precision landings as in ILS, just to get you in the general vicinity. If you are looking for precise landing, as in night or horrible weather conditions. Your best bet is to program the "final" and beginning of the runway. And then use the HSI function of the ABRISS. This generally happens when you have laser burnout (around 300 seconds of use). You are still able to range targets, but the laser will not stay on more than a few seconds. Try looking at the laser time on the left side of the HUD. Also if there is a power line, building, something like that the laser might be hitting that instead of the actual target even though you have the actual target locked. Reaper6

Are you using the cockpit night vision lighting? Page 6-85 "ПОДСВЕТ ПРИБОРЫ" (Night vision cockpit lighting) switch. [RSHIFT + K]. When using night vision goggles (NVG), it is best to use this setting to provide reduced illumination compared to the general cockpit lighting panel. You may further wish to adjust the brightness of the NVGs to maximize cockpit clarity. Night vision brightness adjustment is done with the “ЯРКОСТЬ ПОДСВЕТА ПРИБОРЫ” (Brightness instruments) knob on the lower part of the control panel. Reaper6

It is basically just in the beginning process of the mission, I usually add my artillery units first. But I have been having problems with the renaming of units to the DictKey situation, so I having been able to get very far. Here is the mission I have so far, I really appreciate you looking into this. If you just hop in the blue HMMWV and wait for the artillery impacts you should be able to see what I mean. test.miz Thank you again Reaper6

I have been trying to build some missions in 1.5, and when I check the situation as ground commander the artillery shells impacting sounds don't seem to play. I set a HMMWV near the impact zone(within 100m) and I can see the explosions but no sound is heard. Reaper6

I have had quit a few requests for BlackShark training, so I am planning a training sessions this Saturday afternoon(you do not need to be a member of TAW to attend). We will be doing a FULL system start-up, and systems tests-trouble shooting. More than likely this class will run over the 1 hour time, but you will be free to leave early if you wish. I just ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to the event start time, so that we can start on time. No late arrivals will be admitted. KA-50 A2A technique (Not a weapons request...)

In A2A combat with other choppers, don't even bother with Vikhrs unless you are in a SAM infested area. Get in close and use S8KOM or guns, and use your standby reticle for the HUD. I don't even bother locking them or lasing them. If you don't use your laser on them, they will never know you're there. Reaper6 -

I have tons of A2A kills in the Ka50, against both rotary and jets. The Ka50 is extremely versatile, and does very well in A2A combat. There is no warnings or countermeasures for the Vikhr :) Reaper6 -
