  1. What part of the BlackShark needs attention? Apart from some of the small things that aren't really modeled during a full start-up and test procedures, everything seems to be 100% to me. Reaper6
  2. Yeah, I just meant don't waste a lot of time firing off the Vikhr. Scope out the area, put them in your DL, and then pop op and shoot. It just makes it easier and faster when you can cycle thru DL for the next tgt. But yes, the Vikhrs do need to "ride" the laser beam all the way to the tgt. Reaper6
  3. So you better not waste time locking & lasing. The best thing to do is use the DL in coordination with your attacks. Plot all your most dangerous, and then attack. Reaper6

  6. If you need any instruction I would be more than happy to help. I use to do a lot of classes for people on the forums, from Basics all the way up to advanced. I have been flying the KA50 since BlackShark 1 first came out, and I would like to think I am proficient in all the systems. So if you need someone to show you the ropes I would be more than happy to help. Reading the manual does help a lot, but for me I know I learn more "hands-on". Reaper6

  9. I tested it without changing any names, and it seemed to work properly. But when you change any of the names, zones, vehicles, aircrafts it changes everything to this. Also you can notice that the save icon stays highlighted like this. As well as if you try to fly mission it will ask you if you want to save, fly without saving, or cancel. Even though you have saved it already. I went to save as and it seemed to save it ok like that.
  10. Just to add what Grimes said, the R-828 is for the NDB(Non directional Beacons). The yellow needle on the HSI, and the ABRIS. You had to modify this before in the .lua files. Most Ka50 pilots pay no attention to this, but for me it has always been very helpful. Reaper6
  11. I am having the same issue. I can save it once, and units keep the originally name. But if you fly the mission, and return to the mission editor and add more units the units names change to the DictKey. **Edit** I tried not naming any of the units, and it seems to keep the original names. I guess it only happens when you try naming any of the units? Reaper6

  13. Anyone know if we are going to be stuck with how this new map is? It seems to be just a single map, unlike the other map where you are able to zoom out to see the terrain contour lines better. Has anyone tried moving the map over from the older version? Reaper6
  14. The wiper blade for the Shkval is modeled. But not as your windshield wiper does, the Shkval wiper only makes one pass. So if you go external view and press the wiper button, you will notice that it does actually work. Reaper6
  15. DH/DT only works AFTER your first waypoint. There is no track angle to your first waypoint. Reaper6
  16. Wind is adjust for ALL weapons by wind dir/spd in the PVI-800. Reaper6
  17. You can use the Shkval for aiming the dumb bombs and the sub-munitions, and it is deadly accurate! Hit me up, I would be more than happy to walk you thru it, it's just way too much to type. Reaper6
  18. 1. You're never going to outrun a missile or a jet in any helicopter(no matter how awesome the BlackShark is!). 2. If you know for sure there is fast movers around you, immediately get to cover and hover. If you are moving it's pretty much guaranteed you are already on there radar. If you are stopped in a hover, you won't be on their radar. 3. Always stay below 50m AGL, and close to cities for hiding and using the building as cover against incoming missles(No matter how many Gs an AIM9 can pull, it can turn corners around a building). 4. Using Vikhrs against fast movers is very possible, I have knocked several out of the sky. a. You must be in a hover, or close to it. b. HMS on, Laser on, AA mode on, TOT mode on, Burst Medium(Always send out 2 Vikhrs!). c. YOU WILL NEVER HIT A FAST MOVER WHILE IT'S TURNING! d. Let him come to you. Trust me they will every time! Once they have picked you up on radar and you go to hover, they will come check out the area because they lost you on radar. e. It's best to get a Head-On or Rear hit on a fast mover, the Vikhr is fast but it doesn't maneuver well. f. They get absolutely no warning when the Vikhr is heading there way. g. It's always tempting to think you are going to outrun or out maneuver a jet, don't even try it. The helicopter is meant to be used much as a sniper is. Hope some of this is useful. Reaper6
  19. I think it is supposed to be turned off after test, and then turned on(if required) after full start-up/tests are completed. I would be guessing that the value for each engines RPM should be 60-65% during engine idle? I'll have to look into it. Reaper6

Turn it off after check. During the engine startup cycle:Check Disengagement of the starter at GG RPM 60…65%. Monitor this with the “start valveʺ Annunciator light going off (engines startup control panel on the left hand side panel). Reaper6

  22. The Vikhr does have a proximity as well as Head-On proximity, and it definitely works in game. It isn't really a secret, but I tend to keep it to myself. But You can use the HMS to auto lock Air targets, and it works quite well for Rotary and Fixed Wing(You can find this information in the Manual, and with some practice). Reaper6
  23. Actually you can ask for repair at anytime after landing. However, repair will only begin after engines and rotors have come to a complete stop. Reaper6
