I’ve noticed I put too much trim or not enough on landing Is there a ball park setting and then fine tune? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

reported earlier FCS Reset with wings folded.

I still suck at Carrier Landings For me trim doesn’t help it makes the Hornet worse on landing I PIO in roll a lot on landing Also the extremely slow response of the F404 I know engines may take up to three seconds to spool up but the response of the 404 concerns me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Like the F/A-18C but what are the Super Hornet differences

Some legacy hornets have the touch screen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
More than 2 JDAMs The Hornet could launch 8 JSOW C Wow a Multirole bomb truck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The Viper and the Hornet were basically the same in real life The Navy wanted extra safety in Blue Water Ops After that the story of the bug for the navy continues Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Like everybody said there are some limitations and the viper is still a WIP but it’s a lot of fun If you want realism try the Tomcat or Hornet but the Viper has its own challenges like not flipping over while taxiing and staying on the runway and don’t hit anything expensive Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Viper is a lot of fun besides the Tomcat and Hornet it makes me go back to DCS World to play

To me I have both the Hornet and the Viper They are my favorite planes but they fly different To me the viper is a little more stable and the avionics are easy for me to understand Dont get me wrong the Hornet is more polished but I have to really delve at it to understand the avionics Even with all the quirks the viper is a little rocket ship Lots of power Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The distinctive shark mouth Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Like TobiasA the real F-16 is one of my favorite planes It could do a lot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Flaring and Aerobraking is pretty neat Better than the Hornet technique of pranging it on the Runway and hope for the best Also I understand the cockpit of the F-16 better than the Hornet More natural for me you don’t have to relearn as much as the Hornet to me the F-16 makes sense The FBW is not as twitchy like the Hornet it feels right Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hate JMEM (Weaponeering) back in B-1B Block C you had to JMEM by hand cause the B-1B did not have the computing power in the 90s
-
The way it was explained to me in B-1s and current Viper instructors could correct me is that impact azimuth is the angle a bomb will hit a target Usually the default angle will work but if you want a little more range you can make the impact angle horizontal (AZ=0) and let the explosives do the work Impact Azimuth gives a bomb some armor piercing capabilty to bury itself and explode

You can survive but it depends if you see the missile Missiles don’t like to turn because it bleeds energy and the rocket motor has so much propellant Key is maneuver to make the missile turn and lose its energy while spewing countermeasures Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What’s weird is the single MK82 (500 lb) bomb almost has a half mile blast and shrapnel radius but I don’t see it in the OB version of DCS You almost have to hit the target to be effective weird Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Don’t get me started on a MK 84 (2000 lb) bomb Two words watch out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the tips Able to land at Batumi (8050x197) Full Aerobraking and boards at 43 plus wheel brakes at the end My error was setting up on Approach at 13 AOA and did not know how hard to do it right Plus if you burn down fuel to 2000 you can land easily it worked for me Other tip is aim point control your VV at the RWY Threshold to not use up too much runway you will need it on rollout it worked for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
