New Pilots, Don't try to come back to base with more than 6000 lbs in the F-16 tanks unless you could land on a 10000 ft runway or more More fuel gives you a higher landing speed and longer distance to stop So short runways like Senaki, Khasab, and Ramat David can be tricky Try to come back with as little fuel that's safe of course to land on short runways or use a runway that can accomodate you landing heavier A good gouge by a Former Viper Instructor is quick math Landing Speed = 140 + 4 for every thousand pounds of fuel For example you are going to land with 6000 lbs of fuel what is my landing speed? Well it is 164 which is 140 + 6*4=164 Happy Flying

in progress So, no flight model update for the F-16 in the 2.7 patch?

For me personally FPM is PhD level stuff Users know the F-16C inside and out and want the model improved that’s great For new guys like me I’m happy that I can takeoff and land the viper without flipping over and I could use AMRAAMs and CBU-97s Though lot to go The Module is great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

The F-16 module is rewarding to get well but could easily kill you if you are sloppy. If you are on speed on landing it’s a dream if not it’s a petulant child throwing a temper tantrum Taxiing is always a challenge Keep your A-game at all times when flying the viper Unfortunately no FPM updates till the Hornet is out of EA Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I love the F-16 one of my favorite planes but in DCS it can get frustrating when CCRP is not pointing where it should. CCRP combined with the CBU-97 is a deadly combo for the enemy. To combat CCRP to point to the Steerpoint you have to tweak the F-16 in Mission Editor. I make it in Mission Editor to takeoff from rwy. CCRP works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In real usaf refueling you aim for a formation position the lights are there to figure out where you are in the formation position In the KC10 10 minutes on the boom was minimum for check rides and for IP checks you have to do a limit demo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry for speaking in English Track Ir if you set it up right should be the same in DCS Nothing special Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Like all these fine posters said There is no quick and easy model Each setup is completely different Just know what those numbers mean kinda like joysticks you just have to tweak to your liking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s good Next challenge is catch a 3 wire with as little messages as possible My best is Grade B two wire Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How do you fix mouse pointing in trackir

Creating my own profile Got a little bit of the Michael J Fox head bob making my trackir go nuts Adjusting dead zones to fight the twitches Stupid Immune System going nuts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
There’s no such thing as being easier poor word choice If you flew the Harrier you kind of understand the systems and how the navy labels things in their cockpit The viper has quirks in DCS but to me it feels more simpler than a Hornet. CCRP is not as flexible like the Hornet but doing CCRP on the F-16 with CBU-97 is awesome. The viper does flip in DCS rather easily mostly if you taxi too fast or you forget to take out the rudder input and requires your constant attention when taxiing, takeoff, and landing I like both Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Those are my two favorite planes except for the Warthog can’t do anything but die if the Gun is Shot at You I digress Both modules are good but the Hornet will be out of early access faster than the Viper Also you can’t beat trying to land on a boat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I figured out track Ir is like joysticks You have to fiddle with it til it is up to your liking and read and reread the manual For me it’s a mix of deadzone and being able to see what I want to see Trackir is amazing it’s the poor mans way of grabbing a helmet and mask and go flying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Poor word choice is there a way for trackir to keep the views stagnant besides not moving your head sounds like increasing the deadzone -
Cool that easy

Is it the same to have wind coming from or do you have to be In the same direction Why want to create missions with the wind blowing directly in the landing area of the boat instead of having the boat chug along to get wind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
