  1. Unfortunately no fix for this afaik. There was some graphical DCS update months ago which broke it.
  2. Oh yes this kind of benchmark I have waited for ! I have 3080 but still preordered Nitro+ Radeon RX6800 XT, not sure which one is better for G2.
  3. If you are out of VRAM, doesn't it use RAM first (shared GPU memory) or how this goes?
  4. 3080 Ti rumours:
  5. After using this forum some time, it's not so bad. I like it actually. The best feature so far: when you have read a topic and go back to main page with browser back button (or ALT+ left arrow), that topic is marked as read :P
  6. I think you have to wait a bit longer https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-allegedly-cancels-geforce-rtx-3080-20gb-and-rtx-3070-16gb
  7. Yeah, I have ordered 3080 10Gb and still waiting it but really hope AMD gives something better.
  8. 3080 20Gb and 3070 16Gb versions canceled (or delayed?) https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-allegedly-cancels-geforce-rtx-3080-20gb-and-rtx-3070-16gb

    Members age?

    39. If I'm lucky enough to live next 39 years, I wonder what kind of PC and VR we have then :pilotfly:
  10. Wow, it have a slightly different look what you think? ;D I kind of like dark theme.
  11. Yeah this usage per process is handy, but like discussed in other thread, it's more like allocated per process. We still don't know how much DCS actually use vram, only how much DCS allocates. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4513143&postcount=127
  12. 3080 20Gb version in December? Let's hope that's true https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-20gb-to-launch-in-december
  13. Just for clarification, Reverb G2 have no eye tracking, Reverb G2 Omnicept Edition will have, two different devices :smilewink:
  14. Interesting, I wonder why there is no "Building visibility" -slider in DCS settings like "Trees visibility" :D Would be handy.
  15. Yeah Windows is taking some Vram, but that 2Gb is question mark. Have to investigate. Extra programs I have on background is Oculus app, OculusTrayTool and Afterburner. I think Oculus may consume some vram, who knows.
  16. Good point, thanks for the clarification.
  17. Well, the latest beta MSI afterburner shows vram allocated and vram by process, I think it shows quite accurate how much DCS uses vram. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=286706 edit: added screenshot, mig-21 (start from runway) / syria map
  18. Thanks for testing, interesting results.
  19. DCS update broke it long time ago, so Oculus visual hud doesn't work.
  20. I tested this yesterday with Rift S and my 1070Ti 8Gb Vram was full allocated but DCS used ~6Gb when sitting in Mig-21 on ground (Syria) and ~5Gb in F-18. Not tested multiplayer yet. Settings was: Textures: High Terrain textures: High Civ. Traffic: Low Water: High Visib range: High Heat blur: Off Shadows: Medium Res. of Cockpit Displays: 1024 MSAA: Off Depth of Field: Off Lens effect: Off Grass: Off Trees: 70% Preload radius: max Chimney smoke: 1 Anisotropic filtering: 4x Terrain object shadows: Flat Cockpit global illumination: Off With low Terrain textures Vram process usage was ~1Gb less.
  21. With the latest MSI Afterburner you can check Vram usage per process but I don't know how accurate this is for real usage. I have ordered 3080 and it have 2Gb more vram than my 1070 + it's more faster and compressed so can't wait ;)
  22. Have anyone tried this yet? It seems that the new version of MSI Afterburner allows you to check VRAM usage per process. Would be interesting to see DCS results especially with 3080 and VR :P https://imgur.com/a/J1JCE7p MSI Afterburner 4.6.3 Beta 2 Build 15840 https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/msi-afterburner-beta-download.html
  23. Corrected that one :smilewink: Maybe no performance gain over 2080ti but I think I'll get some boost from 1070TI :joystick: edit: Asus GeForce RTX 3080 TUF Gaming OC on the way.
  24. What CPU you have? Your old GPU was what?
  25. Have you checked that your PCI-e is using full speed (ie. via GPU-Z)? I ask this because one guy from finnish forum said that he installed 3080 with support bracket and wondered why this card is so slow! Until he checked the PCI-e speed, it was the slowest possible speed (PCIe 4.0 x1 or something)! And the reason was supporting bracket, it lifted the card a little so the contact was bad. He installed the card again without the supporting bracket and now PCIe speed was full 4.0 x16 and the performance like it should be.
