  2. Looks awesome. Allthough personally i avoid putting static objects to far near the catapults & front Right elevators as it Will mess with the AI aircraft

  6. I created it for the Hornet over PG DCE dynamic campaign v5. You can download that but it needs the persian gulf map. There is a default carrier setup without deck crew and one with deck crew if you want deck crew included you need to download the us Navy deck crew mod. Its really not this hard but i could create a template for the caucasus map as well if there are enough people want it. but the cool thing with the DCE is that it creates the carrier setup for every campaign mission automaticly.   7. Yeah i have absolutly no awnser or way of killing the f-14 unless i get in range enough for Aim120c,s at least. But its the AIM-54,s that prevent that. Basicly all i can do at the moment when dealing with f-14,s is go afterburner & run. But as soon as LGB,s and targeting pods are released maybe i can attempt to take them out on the ground untill they are 0% on th DCE roster. And wait! There is a Av8 DCE campaign? Is there one for the PG map as well? Its about time id take the av8 for Some flying again. Whats combatflite if you dont mind me asking?
  8. Since the carrier is way to lifeless apart from some quickmissions i decided to make a carrier setup for the DCE Hornet over PG campaign to make it more realistic for carrier ops. It also looks much more sexy.. Anyone else wanna share there carrier setup?
  9. I also ran into another little issue. But its not really problem related to the DCE engine but DCS & real life problem. When i get a CAP mission & run into a Iranian F-14 with AIM-54,s its game over. The aim 54,s range is much greater then the aim-120b/c,s. There is just no way to kill the tomcats either & no way to move in close enough for a Kill. I wonder how they the f-18 would tackle the problem in real life though. Also, other flights from the carriers tasked by the DCE never seem to leave the carrier. They just sit there for the remainder of the flight. Not a dealbreaker, but still it would really help if the AI carrier flight help out a little.
  10. Yes offcourse. I was planning to send 4 mav F,s its way. But the problem is that i cant get close enought without Being blown out of the Sky before i Get a lock on the FFG. Without any other long range standoff weapon option? Its simply impossible to kill.

  12. Im stuck on a mission on the F-18 over PG DCE. I am tasked with taking out the FFG Neurtashimy. But i cannot get a lock with my Mavericks before i get sa-15s send my way& ultimatly run out of spoofs and get killed every time. And the fact that the ship takes about 4 mavg,s to sink her doesnt really help either. Any ideas how to sink this Maggot?
  13. I have the same problem. Wingman wont engage ships for Some reason. Also im Being sent allmost only on ship strikes for Some reason. And to make matters worse, i destroyed all the ships, and only have to kill the ffg neutrashimy. But it kills my flight with sa-15,s before i fire any of my Mavericks because im to far out to get a lock with the maverick F,s. So in pretty much stuck and my wingman doesnt do anything either so i,m kinda stuck now. p.s I can send you the base_mission for the carrier with crew if give me an e-mail adress or something.

  17. On the directory there was no f-14a map. But i Made one myself. Allready tried that and dont work. Also i cant find the Iran map anywhere
  18. How on earth to i install the f-14 skin! Ive tried everything but i still get the us Navy skin for the PG map.
  19. I have a problem installing the iranian f-14 skin for the PG map. Iv tried installing in various locations described on the forum on how to install skins, tried Jgsme. But whatever i try i cant seem to make the skin show up. I keep getting the us Navy skin and it makes my skin crawl. Im running the steam version
  20. What CA also needs is Some realistic stabilization for tanks and stuff. The current one still isent stabilized enough to allow any effective on the move engagements
  21. Haha Lol i think we figured it out at the same time. But yes, front Right elevators need to stay clear of any static aircraft. Also i did Some testing with Ai. Seems it only had problems with 2 other parked Ai planes from my 4 ship package that allready landed back on the carrier. But it seems the problem would also present itself without any static objects at all. But i made a new Setup for the carrier that seems to work. Did 3 or 4 campaign mission with the DCE and it hasent given me any problems so i think this can be used as a final setup for the carrier.
  22. I havent had the chance to find that out because my wingman allways gets killed. But i did run into another strange problem with the DCE campaign. Sometimes it generates missions without player. But when i check in the mission editor? The flight package is there with player selected. So i have to skip these missions since i start in the map view with my flight missing. Ill try and reinstall the dce to see what happens. Maybe it has something to do with 4 flight package & the static objects on the carrier because when given a 2 x flight package it seems to work just fine. Might have to adjust the carrier static setup.
  23. Yes mission works unless you placed the deck crew as static objects and someone dont have the deck crew mod.If you placed only the static planes on the deck it should work for the campaign. But with the mod the deck looks much more alive and i would recommend it for the DCE. Esspecially with current real life developments (Uss John C stennis currently being deployed to the persian gulf for the exact same reason on which the DCE f-18 gulf campaign is based and all). If you want i can send you the base_mission template for the DCE campaigns that are based on the Stennis.
