  1. I haven't seen this in 1.5.6 @release, but I had the same problem with the first 1.5.6 open beta, and that seemed to be mod related. Try removing all mods, running a repair, and re-apply mods.
  2. Several files (in the bin, comm, shapes, textures and liveries folders) were changed by the update. I haven't checked in-game yet.
  3. Awesome! Keep up the good work!
  4. IFR = I Follow Roads
  5. As the two previous posters have noted, shot placement is the key issue here. It's comparable to hunting big game; a small caliber lung/heart shot can be (and usually is) more effective than a large caliber gut shot.
  6. To elaborate a bit: Normal ILS: you have the localizer in the end of the runway, and the glide path approximately 300m from the runway threshold, offset ~100 from the runway centerline. TILS: everything is located at a single site, roughly equivalent to where a normal GP would be placed. I've never seen one in person, but I assume it's all mounted on a Scania truck or equivalent for rapid deployment. Side note: there are also some regular ILS sites with offset localizers. Sumburgh on Shetland is a good example, where the localizer for RWY09 is located next to the GP antenna for RWY27. It's the only place I've seen a LOC and GP (and maybe a DME if memory serves me right) in the same equipment shelter. And you also have IGS systems like the infamous checkerboard approach to Kai Tak, or the really strange one in Innsbruck.
  7. The TILS localizer is offset from the runway centerline, unlike most normal ILS systems.
  8. It's the same with the "Aktas" on the bullet fairing above the outer right wing handpoint. The current textures are just placeholders until they're sure that the model is accurate, so I guess the rivet counters will just have to wait for a few weeks (or just fix it in photoshop like I did).
  9. It's up now :)
  10. Here's B-25 with two of the same engines: FFrm4gyW0PA
  11. I have "Zoom in slow" and "Zoom out slow" mapped to up/down (7/9) on the TMS switch on my Warthog HOTAS. It's pretty much a necessity in all the DCS aircraft I fly. Small low resolution monitors (I have a 24"@1080p) aren't really that good for discerning small details like that.
  12. Then I guess I'll have to buy a Polish clock :P Joking aside, no trace of the AO server here for the last couple of days :(
  13. It's just three orders of magnitude (or 30dB; RF-engineer syndrome) difference :P
  14. What on earth are you doing at 60000++ft in a Viggen? It's not a spaceship!
  15. It declutters the HUD below 100m. It probably has other functions as well, but I haven't looked into that yet.
  16. Here is my temporary SwAFHF / SE-DXN skin. It's based on the original bare metal skin, so I can't share it yet, but it should be simple to get a proper one out once the templates are available.
  17. Isn't that setting just for the cockpit gauges/displays? I'd assume that the rest of the textures are controlled by the global texture settings. But if the texture settings are maxed out there could be some kind bug involved. Edit: Sniped by enduro14
  18. Your cockpit textures are much lower resolution than xxJohnxx's. What are your texture settings in the DCS graphics settings?
  19. With the exception of the over-sensitive rudder, I'm not seeing any of the symptoms described here. TM Warthog, no curves and 100% Y-axis saturation.
  20. Slav SI declutters the HUD below 100m. Höjd CI/SI choses between radar altimeter (RHM) or baro altitude for the HUD.
  21. Awesome stuff! Thanks a lot, and keep up the good work.
  22. Slightly off tipoc, but Takeo Ischi is simply the king (or perhaps emperor) of chicken related yodeling. Here's another one: yO7MWuJ7zLA
  23. Win+R->CMD-> navigate to the dcs world\bin\ folder, and type dcs_updater.exe update @openbeta
  24. Then why did you buy an early access product?
  25. No. There is no manual included in today's update (unless they hid it really well; it's not in either of the two new AJS37 folders).
