  1. You will find the Huey systems quite simple once you master the more complicated ones(e.g.mi-8, A-10C)
  2. Wouldn't it be morbid? I don't think it needs to be moved posthumously :(
  3. Why should one not be able to disable it? Disabling modules you don't use/need speeds up loading the sim.
  4. I have noticed this too, in latest 1.5 version.
  5. It was also down in Slovakia, they confirmed it was a routing problem. We don't need to dramatize things prematurely :smilewink:. ,especially not for ww3 - as it isn't coming anytime soon (I hope)
  6. I don't really know what the hell it do but if it would have a value of 2000 it would probably be "BigShitDimention"
  7. I would recommend the Mi-8. It has lots of switches/systems (although not the most modern) but it's a lot easier and more stable to fly than huey or gazelle(doesn't have this one though) On the other hand, the Black shark, while its most stable and easiest to fly it has a different behavior than standard single rotor helicopter, so i would not really recommend it for a beginner who wants to learn about helicopter physics.
  8. Mi-8MTV
  9. I guess he sorted it out already after more than two years...
  10. He should of have yelled through the radio to ABORT TAKEOFF! But it looks like it would have been too late anyway..
  11. Not that hard, with enough practice you can land just about any aircraft in DCS without engine/s (helicopters too) and without L/G damage.
  12. Hmmm...that's interesting, although I wonder what type of screw is this behind the fire ext. pull handle(as it doesn't appear to be round)...
  13. This is bad news. I've had two Logitech products that were a written-off in less than a year. First It was a joystick which had failed pots in months, than a mouse that had bad click buttons in less than a year so I had to dismantle those freaking microswitches and bend a little sheets to make them work as they should. With the current Saitek owned by Madcatz I have no complains other than lack of spare parts.

    I quit

Maybe if you could explain you problem better we could help.
  15. I have used Logitech 3d before but can't recommend it because it developed big deadzones around neutral positions after few months, after disassembly I discovered it uses small cheap potentiometers, now I use saitek X-52Pro and it's a whole different level of accuracy. Although If I will have to buy a new joystick in future I would get Thrustmaster Warthog(If something better doesn't appear on the market)as it has more real "feel" and looks.
  16. Single 24" Benq, I don't understand how can people use multi-monitor setup and not get bothered with the frames haha.
  17. As mentioned in these posts, after experiments with the right curve I think using linear input is best solution.Sure with added curve I had somewhat better aim(as Mi-8 has unguided weapons) but with linear input there is less trimming annoyance and I feel as I have better control of the chopper overall.
  18. Even if a plane can start with it's own battery, In real life they(most of the time) connect ground power to preserve battery as starting is a power intensive process. Not that it matters in DCS as you get fresh aircraft every flight.
  19. Not really related, but I was at this event (My first airshow btw!) and as a MiG-21 fan I was very pleased to see this legend in real life (It was Romanian Lancer version).Hope they will show up next year also.
  20. I wonder if it is something that can be altered in the lua files. Will take a look at those as it bothers me also.
  21. Or it could be moved just little bit further back from taxiway...
  22. Start> type DCS >then click repair DCS world shortcut.
  23. Have you tried a DCS world repair?
  24. Worst update ever... for me at least :noexpression: Apart from loosing a MiG-21 activation I have encountered random freezes(sudden 100% SSD usage with 0 read/write speed)which after lurking on the internet i luckily fixed.
  25. Do you restart DCS after you change the sliders?Because AFAIK it only applies after restart
