Also in the case of wingtip launchers, the Hornet is not allowed to fly without them. Has something to do with stability/wing flex.

IRL even if the engines are of the same type, they still are not perfect copies of each other. They may not produce the same thrust at the same RPM setting or one accelerates slightly slower than the other, the afterburners light up at slightly different times etc.

If you want to go further, then all NATO codenames for Russian air-to-air missiles begin with A (Archer, Aphid...), surface-to-surface missiles begin with S (Sunburn, Shipwreck, Spigot) and SAM systems begin with G (Gainful, Gadfly). It's as almost as someone thought this through. :D

Friends, don't overfeed your Hornets. I'm sure the Navy started calling it the Super Hornet, so the poor thing doesn't feel bad about itself. -
Aerobrake. Meaning holding the nose up and letting the air resistance slow the plane down during the landing run.

DCS World 2.5 Crash when I try to enter in mp server

I had 2.5 crashing consistently after joining an MP server in Caucasus. This happened even when I was only sitting in the spectator mode doing nothing. Crash logs showed similar report as is quoted above. Seems the reason was that the system ran out of memory. Once my 16 GB of RAM was filled up, the game crashed, instead of dumping the overfill to page file on the disk as it was supposed to. What I did was to change the windows page file from system managed to manual and increased the maximum page file size to a much larger number than is the default (20 GB now, in my case). This seems to have stabilized things so that the game doesn't crash immediately when joining a server. I'll have to do more testing tonight on how stable the game is now on longer flights. System: I5 6500, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Windows 10 Edit: Looks like 2.5 is stable after a couple of hours of testing. -
It's also relatively simple to print the manual out if you have a laser printer. I have A-10C manual printed out in two A5 folders.

That little black knob forward of the green ring (emergency oxygen activation) is what locks the shoulder harness reel, preventing it from moving.

Did someone say F-29 Retaliator? I was visiting my folks and found the old game sitting on the shelf. :D Edit: The price tag on the box says 390 Finnish marks. If you take inflation into account, 390 mk in 1991 would be around 97 euros (or $115) in today's currency. Games were expensive back then.

Different frequencies for different aircraft. Not all aircraft have VHF or UHF radios. For example Mig-15bis only has HF radio and is forced to use that 4.250 MHz frequency.

1. I have the NWS switch on the pinky switch of my CH Pro Fighterstick. It's pretty much the standard position across all the aircraft I have.

TWS lock doesn't give any indication to RWR that it might be locked on. STT mode makes the RWR go bonkers, no matter if it's friendly or not. Think about this: there may be situations where both sides have either same aircraft inventory or have aircrafts coming from the same country. (Ethiopia and Eritrea both flew Russian aircraft in their war, for example.) Or in a more probable situation: a friendly aircraft has mistaken your plane for the enemy and now has a radar lock. How could the RWR differentiate the enemy from friendly in those situations? That's why RWR shows every radar signal it detects and it's up to the pilots to do the actual situational analysis.

To RWR all radars are hostile. Like a smoke detector it can't tell a difference between an actual fire or a burnt dinner. It's the pilot's job to determine if the radar painting the aircraft actually is a hostile one.

You do get a lock warning if you are between an enemy aircraft and the friendly SAM. RWR doesn't know that the radar is trying to lock on to the enemy aircraft. All it does know is that the radar has stopped sweeping and is now constantly pointing in your direction -> lock warning.
