  1. User error - binding conflict. Sorry for the wild goose chase! For whatever reason that same button was bound to the NS430 on/off function.
  2. Perhaps I am not clear enough - I have a button box. One button on that device is to change the lens color. Pressing that button does not change the lens color, but it does make the "NS430" popup happen. That same device and same button is not bound to any NS430 command. I am not using a keyboard to do this, it is a button box, a computer gaming device.
  3. As I have said in my OP, there are no commands bound to for the NS430 to the device I am using to change the flashlight filter from white to green. The button to change the filter is on a button device I use. That particular button on that particular device is not associated with any NS430 functions. Does my dilemma make more sense?
  4. There are no buttons bound for the NS430
  5. I do all of my ILS landings with brakes out, gear down and 10-12 AOA all the way in. No trim is needed and the plane just does what it's supposed to do.
  6. User error - binding conflict. Sorry for the wild goose chase! :joystick: :pilotfly:
  7. So, Rift S or Reverb?
  8. ILS Practice Mission - Senaki-Kholki Here's a mission I use frequently to practice my ILS landings. Senaki/Kholki Tower freq. = 132.00 (COM2) TACAN = 31X "TSK" ILS RW9 = 108.90 CRS = 088 ILS Practice - Senaki-Kolkhi.miz
  9. Works at Kholki and Batumi, the only ones I've tried.
  10. I tested this again on a second PC, this one running WMR/SteamVR. I can report that it also has the same issue. The floodlights drop the frame rates by about 25%.
  11. I run textures on LOW on my VR system since I don't want to wreck the frame rates. I use the label flyouts for cockpit control elements (switches/buttons) and resize the font to 24-32. Since the option doesn't distinguish what the "textures" are, I have to conclude this setting is for all textures. It would be beneficial to have an option for "Cockpit Textures", but that's wishful thinking. I will test on HIGH and see what happens. I agree with Eldur's recommendation, but again, wishful thinking.
  12. F16-Cockpit Images (from game) Here's a collection of images from the F16 panels for those who are wanting to learn where everything is located. I did not include the ones up front since those are easy to see. VR users will like these, the main reason why I made them... :pilotfly: DCS F16Cockpit Images.zip
  13. "Textures" to HIGH - that did it! Thank you!
  14. I have the resolution to 1024 for every frame, but the labels on the switches are pretty pixelated - these screens are from a non VR PC.
  15. In an effort to help ED change the "[CANT REPRODUCE]" to "[iNVESTIGATING]" perhaps it would be good to provide the type of VR hardware being using. I am using the Oculus Rift and I DO HAVE the fps drop with floodlights. If others come in who are having the same issue, include your VR hardware as well. Since there are three distinct ways to VR in DCS - i.e. Steam VR, WMR and Oculus - let's help ED by indicating the type to determine if it's all of the VR methods or if it's more isolated.
  16. I'd have hoped that I would have been "smart" enough to connect the dots that the wind direction is the reason...lol! Cheers!
  17. Ok, so yes...another video showing my n00b skills...lololooo! Thank you, gents, for setting me straight!
  18. I enable dynamic weather and the ILS stops working at Senaki. I use the default weather and the ILS works. Any help? EDIT: Apparently I was too n00b to realize that the wind direction made ATC switch the active runway to the opposite direction. Sorry for the low volume!
  19. An update to report that I checked this during the daytime and the same issue happens. Off = 90, On = 45 :/
  20. It's not intuitive for me. The TAB key turns it on and off, but how do I actually type anything in it while in VR? Thanks for any help! EDIT: Sorry - Ima moppet here...I'm hitting the tab and to do it I need to press LSHFT+TAB or LCTRL+TAB :joystick: :pilotfly:
  21. I'd like to change the comms text color to something more friendly to nighttime operations, something that does not cause eyestrain in the dark. The color of the FPS counter is good and much more night-vision-friendly. Is there a way to change the comms text color in a LUA file somewhere? Any help is appreciated a lot! I am a VR user and this would help!
  22. I'm confirming the FPS drop for floodlights in VR: GyyrFuVhlPw It also happens in the daytime.
  23. I'd expect that pilots everywhere carry at least one flashlight with them.
