  1. You guys are great! Many kudos to @Falcon_S NB: I found the serverSettings.lua in the config folder, however.
  2. I want to add the text under the title "Server Description" on a dedicated server. I have found no place to know how to do this? I have not located any publication from the developers on this either. Can someone tell me how to do it for a dedicated DCS server? Thank you!
  3. I have G2 on order. I use G1. The CV1 Oculus is not even close to image quality compared to the G1. I don't have great expectations for the G2 now, but I decided to keep the preorder. Hopefully it will be more comfortable and even slightly clearer...was hoping for more FOV, but whatever. :joystick:
  4. Perform a clean installation to Win10 20H2 and begin again. If you don't want to do that, turn down all of the options in DCS and also lower your expectations. AA will trash your fps. Your system should run VR like butter.
  5. Brakes out, gear down, put the VV in the middle of the staple and the speed will take care of itself based on your loadout.
  6. There are more updates today. I am specifically curious about this WMR update VR Flight Sim Guy referenced in his recent video. Would be bizarre that WMR has an update only for the G2 Reverb and not everything else. Would be good to know.
  7. The latest version of Win10 is 20H2. It is > 2004.
  8. 53...been flight simming since 1988 :pilotfly: :joystick:
  9. modafinil/provigil
  10. I have a G1 but a G2 is on the way. The lager sweet spot is the reason. Thx for the video!
  11. You need Steam VR and "Windows Mixed Reality for Steam VR". You must have both. You must opt into the Steam VR beta for WMR for Steam VR to work.
  12. Reverb - I went from CV1 to Reverb and it's lovely. Yes, you can read the instruments. Any SDE is not nearly as pronounced as the CV1.
  13. So the solution is that we need a KC-46 now! :pilotfly: :joystick: :megalol:
  14. Seriously, ED...can you make a simple change to increase the BRIGHTNESS of the lights? It cannot be some overwhelming task to accomplish. I've completed over 250 air refuels (in VR) in the F16 and the lights are the only position reference I use (in addition to the airspeed). It would be nice if they were brighter. :music_whistling: BTW, @Mover indicated in one of his videos that refueling was somewhat easier in the real plane than in DCS. It would be cool if he ever remarked on the light brightness matter.
  15. Divide single screen frame rates by 3. That should give you a good estimate of your VR frame rates.
  16. I prefer TACAN, but I want to learn this thing. Seeing as it's on sale right now, why not...thx for helping with the question.
  17. Hello: I have the DCS: NS 430 Navigation System and I want to have the module for the C101EB and C101CC. I have this product: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ns430/ Can I just buy these two and have the NS430 system working for these planes? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ns430_c-101cc/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ns430_c-101eb/
  18. Thank you @Intruder_360 and @Bailey - That worked!
  19. Are they coming back or are the not enabled?
  20. I don't care for the trend of wireless devices. While I understand wireless is beneficial to standing experiences, it only introduces another failure point for those of us who use VR for seated experiences...like everyone who uses VR for flight or racing simulations. I'm bothered by the trend and that sim folks will get lost in the shuffle as VR appears to tend to wireless devices in some ways..fwiw... However, since this thing is 450 bucks, I get on the pre-wait-for-the-preorder? It's 10 bucks...why not. But someone tell me if this is going to us WMR. Is it? Or would it use its own software like the Pimax? And 450 clams is better than the 600 for the Reverb G2...for the same resolution it's pretty much a no brainer...if it works like expected...
  21. EDIT - Resolved. Port forwarding needed to be reset to ip of DCS server. We had the open port 10308 assigned to the wrong PC. Hi all - I have a DCS server running. The server appears under the "My Servers" tab in my account profile. However, I cannot connect to it, and I have tried two different DCS PC's. All installations are fully updated. The two client PC's are in a different location from the server location. The port is 10308. I believe we opened port 10308 on our router, but I am not 100%. Would that be the only cause? Also, I can connect and administer the server by accessing my ED/DCS account profile and control the server remotely. Any help would be appreciated!
  22. 53...but I prefer to say I am 28 for the 25th time :D
  23. More training missions will be appreciated! :smartass:
  24. I think the OP was taking about was looking for guidance about how to optimize his setup for refresh rates at 60 versus 90... Higher frame rates in VR serve the purpose of preventing vr induced discomfort and disorientation. I recommend to stay with 90, FWIW. Unfortunately, there are really no settings in DCS to allow the player to enjoy a solid 90fps. Even running everything down to min isn't enough. DCS has much more work to do before it gives a robust VR experience. I tried my Reverb at 60 and didn't like it. Of course, each man/woman/person's mileage may vary, but the higher the frame rates the better "overall experience" one may have with his VR flying...imho...fwiw.
  25. The mouse cursor needs to be decoupled from the head look. Seriously, ED, can you folks do some QOL improvements for us VR users? NB: I use a mouse on the right and a trackball on the left. It helps...though the solution above is what's really needed.
