  1. Been waiting for you to get here! F35 pls :O)
  2. DK2 to CV1 to WMR Rverb. WMR is much better than Oculus... Just install WMR and then Windows Mixed Reality for Steam VR and opt into the Steam VR beta and take off. I run WMR and then Steam VR and then Launch DCS. It's easy. And the Reverb is much better than the Rift S. I'm expecting the G2 to be better quality visuals so just do it.
  3. I use Passmark to benchtest my PC's. You can test single thread CPU performance and GPU. For reference, my DCS system gets 3044 for single thread and ~19000 for GPU....though DCS will take everything and then some no matter what. I don't understand why more peeps don't refer to Passmark for performance results. See here for reference: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html I have another system running the i5-6600k that gets 25454 Passmarks for single thread CPU and ~13500 for GPU with the RTX2070 super. I can't run DCS in VR on that one for want of frame rates at 45.
  4. ED could create a simple utility to test a PC by subjecting it to the things that DCS would normally do. Think of it like Passmark, Linpack or Furmark, inter alia. That way everyone would download the proggy, run it and post their "number" along with system specs. Though I doubt they will or would care to do it.
  5. I have no trouble in the F16. It would be easier if the lights on the tanker were brighter. In VR they are nearly impossible to see. The wingtip and tail lights are plenty bright enough...too bad that same logic didn't apply on the lights that matter.
  6. I tested on the F16 and F5 and the change in the seat position is not getting saved.
  7. Seat position not saving - VR Hello: I am adjusting the seat position in the F16 using the RSHFT+RCTRL and KPn. I am saving the position with RALT+KP0. The seat position is saved for that particular mission event. HOWEVER, when I exit the mission and start a new one, my seat position returns to the default state and will not remember/save my preferred position set in the mission prior. I have not tested this with other planes, but I will. If this is a known issue, then apologies for the redundancy and please post the link for reference. If for whatever reason I am doing something incorrectly - and I don't think I am - please enlighten me. Thx :joystick:
  8. So here is where I am now... I've come to the conclusion it's more practical to bind a button to switch him on and off when needed.

  10. Ima try this... ok... understood - since the game is not inexpensive they have the funds to solve these demanding things. But it doesn't matter. It's a feature they will likely never include.
  11. Sure it's expensive, but when many of us have over a grand "invested" into our DCS content, I would expect the developers to be able to sort out these problems. Lest folks forget - and many have - this is a super premium game costing many hundreds of dollars. People who buy into such games are a type of "luxury" buyer and should be considered as such accordingly by the developers...but I digress... The appearance of the pilot body and the interactivity of the cockpit control elements are a tricky matter to harmonize it seems.
  12. Hello ED: Giving the user the option of showing the virtual pilot body can help significantly increase immersion for those who want to use that feature. However, the pilot body can obscure the visibility of the many control switches and doodads in the cockpit. My request is that there be an option to not only display the pilot body but also give the option to make it transparent - see through - so to make seeing cockpit control elements easier to see and use. Having the transparency controlled by a slider from 0 to 100 will let anyone set it how they like it. It's not a big deal, but it would help those who like to look down and around and see a virtual human form in the seat. EDIT: I've come to the conclusion it's more practical to bind a button to switch him on and off when needed.
  13. There will be plenty of used ones.
  14. I'd like the option to turn off the trees entirely
  15. get rid of the reflections and also give us an option to turn the trees OFF COMPLETELY, pls... The canopy reflections just are wonky in vr.
  16. Does it go into the \...\Mods\ Folder?
  17. Thank you - do I need to do anything for it to work in DCS, I mean...like load it or something? Or are the military planes just "there" in the missions? Since there's no usage doc with it I am in the dark on how this one works in the game.
  18. sorry for dumb question, but does this have to be activated or does it just "work" on its own?
  19. Just enable Motion Reprojection in Windows Mixed Reality for Steam VR. Look for the light blue and dark blue squares in the upper left of the display. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=228378
  20. I enabled this to see what it does. Big New's admonishment not to use it is noted. I have to do more tests, but I don't see any crazy side effects other than the right-eye-flood-lights. I still need a beefier GPU since my 1080ti isn't enough.
  21. Bravo!
  22. Cool, based on this I edited line 388 in the necessary lua for the non-keyboard version so that the scratchpad is persistent and present upon DCS startup.
  23. What I mean with my question is how do I get it so that the little window that appears in DCS is on when I run the sim? Right now I have to turn it on each DCS session with the ctrl+shft+x keys. I just want it to stay on so it's there when I run DCS.
  24. How do I get the scratchpad to be present in DCS each time I run the sim?
