  1. Thank you I added a comment on the Downloads but I really appreciate the effort (and skill)
  2. And just heard that the Anton will most probably get released on Wednesday to the Stable, but don't know for sure. I sure hope they fix this before both my installs end up with this bug. I'm also seeing complaints with problems on the Spitfire too since the Anton release
  3. Sorry Voice Attack, a utility that allows you to use voice commands to convert them into keyboard strokes and much, much more. Cost around $15 and IMHO it's great value for what it can do. Even if you don't program there are some profiles premade by others that get posted up from time 2 time, Bailey has done some very good ones (found in the mods section on the main page) Daley also has also completed very extensive profiles but he is asking for a small charge for his (again IMHO well worth the money.) Then we get to Vaicom, but I'll let you Google that one :) I also have some profiles for the Viggen, Hornet & AV-8B but they aren't terribly extensive, I could post them up but I don't think my work is up to the quality for posting I'll see if I can change the thread title
  4. Cool I've been useful (for once) Glad your back up and running
  5. I promised I'd do this and finally got up off my fat lazy Butt and followed through for once It's as stated so if yoou can program in VA, just go elsewhere or post up abuse :smilewink: Wondering if I should put it up as a mod in the main page but hardly seems worth the effort John Kneeboard Profile.zip
  6. Mmmm different errors but same problem Much to my annoyance I had to burn an activation to get the Stable version working, when I shouldn't have but anyway Just tried it in the stable version and the Turrn & Horizon seems to be working as it should in stable However the A8 Anton is not avialable in stable, perhaps a long shot but I've a sneaking suspicion that a lot of the A8 was taken from the D9 and somewhere something is conflicting in these modules
  7. Nor for me still BORKED!!! Checked and it looks like we are having EXACTLY the same problem, as soon as I activate the trim the turn indicator works and stops the second I stop trimming. It's 100% repeatable. FoxRomeo I asked before could you check your DCS Log file and see if you have the same warnings I am getting in my log file? Popping the CB has no effect whatsoever as far as I can see in the Dora
  8. Agree it should work, I have just done something similar and no problem Did you unplug any of the controllers? If you did and then mixed them up (ie into different ports or put them onto a hub) If you did then Windows miight have reassigned the controllers to new adresses. Alternatively Windows can just do wierd crap on ocassions. Go into you Config\Input"Aircraft"\joystick folder and look to see if there are more than one set of files per controller. If there are you should be able to determine the old controller files from new conntroller file Once you know then make a backup of them somewhere. Copy the new filename to the old file and move or delete the new ones. With the old files given the giive the new filename your settings should be back
  9. So I am having a problem with the Dora & did a completely fresh install of the Open Beta to the same place with no change of hardware I did not deactivate any modules as, from what I could gather I didn't need to So I still had the problem after the Beta install, but I did not get asked to activate anything and the Open Beta runs just fine I then decided to install the stable version to the same drive to see if my problem would manifest itself on the Stable version. When I run the Beta it does not ask for anything and all the modules work When I run the stable it's asking for all the Starforce activations & it will not allow me to run these modules in the stable version I seem to remember a while back I had them running side by side before and after activation on one the other version just ran What am I missing here? ps IMHO Life would be a lot simpler to new users if it was spelled out when Activation and Deactivation are required. I know there is some info but IMHO it's not spelled out chapter an verse & that's wrong when you are paying a lot to use this sim if you have a lot of the modules. Doing a Google search and the results just conflict
  10. Just went through my DCS LOG File, the only reference to the DORA on errors or warnings was this 2019-06-20 16:32:49.125 WARNING EDCORE: Source ./Mods/aircraft/FW-190D9/Cockpit/Scripts/../Textures/FW-190D9-CPT-TEXTURES is already mounted to the same mount /textures/. 2019-06-20 16:32:49.125 WARNING EDCORE: Source ./Mods/aircraft/FW-190D9/Cockpit/Scripts/../Shape is already mounted to the same mount /models/. No clue what it means, FOXROMEO could you have a look and see if you see anything similar with yours? May assist somebody to help with this
  11. Whatever is causing is this is something fundamental Either some sort of Windows update or something internal to DCS I have just deleted completely. Downloaded fresh install & using the default saved games folder (as generated automatically by the game install) and running controls via the keyboard. No mods, no TARGET no VAICOM nothing except DCS running and still the behaviour is the same Horizon and turn indicator completely Broken!! Nothing much else I can do. I'll try downloading the stable version and run it to see if it is any different
  12. I'll keep my eyes out for them as I'm a huge fan I'd offer to test but simplly got too much going on right now, so better for somebody with some sparre time to spend going over them The pictures look great
  13. Hi First Yes the reset simply tells an integer constant that it's at the starting point, in effect a counter in VA. You can make that any place on the kneeboard you want. I made it on the Schematic map as Kneeboard builder adds custom charts before the VAD & Gnd Charts so if you add custom pages you only need to change them not all the VAD Gnd chart pages. Next each individual command knows it's own page number. When you call out for an airfield then it knows it has to go to certain page. The integer constant that is reset at the begining acts as a tracker so VA knows what page it is on at any time. When you call out an airrfield VA looks at where it is and where it needs to go. It then runs a loop incrementing up or down until the page number matches the integer constant in the counter......SIMPLES I also added in the "[" "']" commands to the counter too. So if you don't use VA but the keyboard instead, then the counter is decremented or incremented accordingly Any use? You still want it?
  14. This appears to be only happening to me & in desperation I'm posting here I'm going to try a complete erase of DCS and a fresh install, to same drive on same computer. I understand if I have it correct that I will not need to uninstall any modules as they are kept in the Registry. A Clean & Repair several times has failed to solve it and no mods running
  15. Do you mean setting it back to Caged then releasing to Uncaged again? Yes I tried that and although it resets the position it still doesn't work Obviously something is throwing it outta whack but I cannot think what The only things I'm running are Target Gui and Voice Attack. I'll try disabling them one at a time to see if that makes any difference Thanks for the suggestion, your input is much appreciated
  16. What I'm seeing
  17. Thanks but that is not the problem, the turn indicator does not seem to work either I've tried it both caged and uncaged I'll experiment some more and if it's still mishbehaving I'll post up a video
  18. It's been a long time since I flew it (9 months or longer), it could be imagination and just getting used to the way it doesn't seem to slow down. It always was the most difficult of the warbirds to take off and land in IMHO Anyway can you confirm if the turn indicator and horizon are bugged or it it just mine that's not working?
  19. Kelpie Your experiences are exactly as mine, looking at old notes I used to trim slightly tail heavy at takeoff now almost full nose heavy. I used to be good with Takeoff and Landing too now on takeoff as the nose comes up it seems to swing one way and correcting leaves you swinging the other. Landings I seem to drift a lot worse than before To be fair the Cockpit looks much better and I think the sounds have improved too
  20. So it's been ages since I tried this module and after the Anton I decided to give the Dora a try again Is it just me or has anything changed? First my turn needle isn't working and the Horizon fails miserably too. I always remembered it floated but going back after the Anton, it seems the only way to get around 210-220 at the threshold, which is what I usually aim for, is to sideslip it in. It seems when you drop to idle you need to fly a long way wings level for a VERY long time to lose energy. Turn however and it bleeds energy at a staggering rate Clean takeoffs and landings are, however, as difficult as I remember :joystick: Probably just because I've been away from it. I do wish they'd fix the Horizon and Turn indicator, it's hard enough when it's working. Am I missing something?
  21. It shows just how good the fidelity of the cockpit models in DCS are. When I saw that photograph of the cockpit I thought it was a DCS model as it looks just like the quality of the models in DCS Then I looked outisde the cockpit and realized it was the real thing Just WOW!!!
  22. That sounds reasonably straightforward to do, if a little long winded to accomplish. Sure gladly share the profile, let me edit it some and write instructions on how to taylor it to your individual needs for additional pages etc: Post up if there is anything that you don't like. I could see people getting annoyed with the voice feedback. The reason it's there, if the kneeboard is hidden you are never sure if the command has exectued or not. So I put in an "In Progress" The idea of the page number feedback is just to inform how many sheets there are for a particular function (the numbering is purely arbitary) Here is clip of it in action, I need to adjust my keyboard repeat rate to stop it skipping pages and getting outta whack, but it should work reasonably well Sorry the clip so long and amateurish, just jump to 2:45 to see it working and forgive me for forgetting some of my own commands :clown_2:
  23. It just depends on what you want to do and what suits you best. With the profile I have you need first to manually move the kneeboard to a set page, so as VA knows where it is to track the pages, then (like Bailey) do a reset when you jump into the cockpit to set the tracking variable to zero. After that all it does is move the kneeboard to certain preset pages via a loop and counts up or down as it does so (I've also added the "[" & "]" commands into VA as well so if you use the keyboard VA can still keep track of where it is and adjusts its internal counter). Complicated it isn't, it's first grade school programming at best. I find the detail (included) charts handy if executing a realistic approach or simply get lost on an airfield and want to know the path to the runway or find a ramp to park at. However when I had to scroll to get to them I just didn't use them as it was so much hassle to scroll forever. I'll try to do a short YouTube to demonstrate, it's not a piece of brilliance but can be useful. I'll post it up then if anybody wants the set of commands to import I'll either put the profile up here or via a DropBox link if it's too big If you have the paid version of Vaicom you can also use things like the "select" command and "select nearest" (in simple comms) too. Vaicom is superpowerful, but you really need to read the manual and go through all the setup, which takes a while and it an be quirky on the odd ocassion. It certainly has my vote as a great piece of software and it adds to immersion
  24. I'll give it a buzz thank you for going to the trouble of posting much appreciated
  25. I haven't tried it myself but is there not an option in the setup with the builder to clear the default kneeboard? Do you have Voice Attack? That absolutely transformed the kneeboard for me. I just ask for the Airfield (or whatever else) I'm looking for and VA will take me their then open the kneeboard and presto your chart is up. Bailey incorporated this into his profile that can be found under the Input & Output section. If you want I can send you a profile with it. The beauty of of it is that the kneeboard scrolls even when you don't have it open, so you don't need to watch the charts paging up and down. You just open the kneeboard when VA has scrolled you to the chart you need, then open it up Just a thought John
