  1. In the saved Games folder under liveries I have a folder f_a-18c in there are a bunch of skins, which I guess were installed by default, as I use OVGME for my skins right now. These do not show in the mission editor, even on the correct country, and I tried copying a few over to my default OVGME folder and enabling and still they didn't show. I just wondered if others had the same and if anybody knew more about what these skins are about?
  2. There is another mod I found which makes it larger but I think it breaks Integrity, although I've only used it a few times I thought it the best workaround so far Found it on the Mudspike forum. I don't want to paste a link in case I'm breaking the rules here, last thing I want is to get banned. You can easily find it by googling but PM me if you cannot and want to try it I do agree with you that a separate window, or possibly a semi transparent overlay would be the best, but don't think it's going to happen
  3. I get something similar. For a while I thought I was going nuts when Air2Air Refuelling. Although the drift I get is mainly due to wind. On the server I sometimes fly it gets more severe at higher altitudes I find the Hornet challenging to refuel in the air but not impossible, combine the drift with the nose pitching under power changes and it makes for a fun time Are you getting the FPM moving off center too, indicating the drift? You can dial it out to an extent with rudder trim, I sometimes do that with the rudder trim on an axis
  4. Not really what you're after but might help https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300900/
  5. can you please share it with us????? I hope that this works & I am not liable for anything that goes wrong, but this works in OVGME for me Just drop it into your OVGME folder then enable OVGME and enable the mod. For first time try I'd recommend backing up the lua, but if you didn't and it screwed things you can always do a repair FA-18C AMPCD Improved Symbol Clarity.zip
  6. Looking forward to this Love the JASDF skins, thanks for taking it on, whenever it's released
  7. Overalien Thank you that works a treat I just made it an OVGME mod and it works really well Doesn't appear to break Integrity check either from what I can make out
  8. Thanks for the advice I'll give that a try
  9. Just got the Shapeways part that removes both detents, well not quite actually. It still means that at the low throttle detent the throttle needs to be pulled up slightly, but the burner detent is a peach, the best I can describe it it akin to bump. All in all though it works well enough for me and increase throttle sensitivity. Both stops appear to be around 20% top and bottom and the burner stop equates pretty much perfectly to burner activation. However once in burner I need to move back from the bump a little to ensure both engines disengage from burner. This has more to do with Hog calibration than the program I reckon. What I found with the finger lift option, if I activate it go into burner and then come back out and make sure both engines have came out of burner. Unless I move the throttle back a little from the burner detent to go into mil thrust only, I get one of the engines going back into burner without the finger lifts operated when I push through the burner detent again, the other engine stays in mil thrust. Easy to fix just make sure to move the throttle back a little from the burner detent then forward again and it all works like a charm. So for the moment I'm using it to increase throttle movement Currently using my SPDB button for the finger lift, SPDF for the brakes and CHF as an adjust on the speed brake if I need to trim it up or down a little. Although TBH so far I've never really felt the need to tune the brake. Apologies wandered a little off topic there
  10. I use the paddle I find if I hit the switch a second time on the UFC panel it still limits my stick movement to an extent until you go beyond a certain value then it comes unstuck all of a sudden with an almighty jerk. Using the paddle gives e a smooth disengage
  11. Was Always a fan of the female operator in EF2000 myself
  12. Do you mind telling me what the part is or give me a link as I'd like to do this to my Hog throttle too
  13. Just downloaded them Bananimal Looking forward to taking a few up later, thanks for these, your work is awesome
  14. Hi I've got flaming cliffs, but now I'm being asked every time I start for the serial number for the SU-33 As I don't have one I skip, then get told it's disabled. Then when I access the module manager the SU-33 is there separately from the Flaming Cliffs module Is this something to do with a Try Before You Buy taster that's on the go? Is there going to be any differences between the stand alone SU-33 and the FC3 module? I had always thought as Flaming Cliff owners we got any upgrades to the existing flight models for free I'm getting a bit confused by it all. I've got nearly all the modules and love the sim but the communication can be vague. Just wish Ed would be a little more explicit on what is happening
  15. Looks fun Thank you
  16. rel4y I've sent you a PM about the boards, once again I am in gratitude to you Pin outs have just saved me a load of grief I'll probably order Debolestis's F-15 nut as it looks pretty good, although your Gardena nut is also a great option There is no such thing as too much information :book: Sokol1 As usual the Guru of all hardware and helping me out yet again, that info is so useful
  17. Thankyou for passing that on...............great
  18. Thanks that's interesting & very helpful Yes I'm interested in the shift registers, but I'm new to playing with electronic hardware From that link I see the 4021s are TM compatible and can be daisy chained The 4021s 8 bit registers meaning they can control 8 inputs, I reckon assuming I only use the trim hat for 4 inputs (I think it has 8 positions) I'd need 19, so 3 register boards and daisy chain them if I have it right. Are you planning on, or could you, make any more as ideally I'd take 4 of the boards if you had them available I'll make sure I measure up the post and ask Debolestis the question re dimensions. Very much appreciated John
  19. Hi debolestis I am thinking of adapting an old CH Fighterstick to fit on a TM Warthog base. I know I'll need the tail piece (once I open the stick I'll know which one) and a securing nut (F-15 probably)) Like the previous poster I was wondering about the possibility of having a tailpiece that doesn't mimic the Hog and simply has a slot or hole that a DIN could be glued into or attached? I was also wondering if there were any plans to produce these tail pieces with offsets similar to the Warthog tailpieces?
  20. Thanks You got a link to that thread? I searched your posts and a general search and came up empty handed, it's something I'd really like to do Guidance would be great
  21. Following on from the awesome Suncom F-15 stick to Hog base adaption thread I thought I'd ask if anybody has tried to adapt a FighterStick to a Hog base It looks like Debolestis has a suitable tail piece but I'm also wondering about the CH electronics or installing the TM Hog board into the CH Fighterstick I know the Hog is better overall but the Fighterstick would be a great back up option and I like the quality of the stick and switches. What else would I need? John
  22. I could only dream of doing that sort of approach I finally got back into the groove somewhat but still find it an exercise in frustration, just tweaks to controller inputs etc: I also cannot get the HOG throttles to cal better than 1% between them. One other thing I am now doing and it seems to help, but could be imagination, is setting flaps to 1/2 as I noticed they modulate by around a degree and it seems to upset AOA. It is far from a cure all, but it seems to be a little more stable. In the end it is a matter of practice and tweaks Thank you all for the assistance, I doubt I'll ever get it every time but now at least I'm able to plug in occasionally
  23. So after going through everything I found a couple of things and they were all really mission related First there was a slight mismatch in the Waypoint speeds for the tanker so I fixed that and it seems better, but I cannot get an exact match for the Racetrack on the advanced options, but it's only 1km/hr I have attached the mission file it is stupidly simple, C-130 on a Racetrack at 13k, actual speed of the tanker is around 217-218 KIAS. What I found was that to connect I had to drive in at 220 where it seems a lot more stable, if I go in at 219 I just seem to wander and no matter what I do I seem to wallow a lot. Looking at Tacview the tanker is rock stable on course and height which doesn't feel that way when I run it. It seems I can never go in straight and am always approaching the tanker at an angle. I can also not get onto a stable heading always drifting one way or the other. Would love some others to try it or somebody with more brains than me to tell me WTF is going on. I can now connect but usually not for long and never long enough to do a full refuel. Any comments gratefully appreciated FA-18C Day Air2Air Refuel C-130 Air Start.miz
  24. I agree the cockpit lighting in the Mi-8 is absolute pants
  25. bbrz around 40fps, so not too bad although obviouslya bit low I have my own mission and have been testing in SP, funnily enough although still a fail I was on the Aerobatics server yesterday and is anything it seemed more stable in there than on SP which is just weird I'll recheck my axes but pretty sure they are good
