Hello, There's a weird behavior within the paint scheme selection dropdown box: Description: - mission created using a different skin than default (e.g. F-18 VMFA-232) - save mission - closing DCS - open DCS again and load mission in ME - open plane dialog loading options --> the paint scheme dropdown shows default / first paint scheme in list, but plane preview shows selected skin from last mission save (e.g. F-18 VFA-37) Expected: - When loading the mission again in ME, the dropdown should show the selected / saved paint scheme if still available. It should only revert to default / first entry in the list, if a custom skin has been removed or something like this. Thanks Jens F-18_landing_practice_Kobuleti.miz

Ocassionally the mission editor fails to respond for me too. I've found a workaround. Going back to windows desktop, right click to DCS taskbar icon and trying to close. Returning now to DCS it asks if I want to save changes or not. Now, ME responds normally for me. But it's a strange behavior their.

counting up... but nobody knows the target number 2 weeks... 365 days...

As I'm a non native English speaker, I may use the context most of the tome instead of the actual written word. Never thought about it being a real word or not, even Wags uses "colonize": https://youtu.be/urdupoIerFk?t=67
-
But isn't this correct in this context that the colon ":" on the corresponding ODU button option is visible?

One or the other, not both. Full military closes the nozzle a bit, producing more thrust. AB injects the fuel and the nozzle needs to be open. As stated above. Going from military to AB is just using the button, going back from AB you need to also reduce throttle position below the AB or mil regulating limit.
-
Bump... I had problems even getting a route line to work. Looked pretty strange to me. After fiddeling around setting, deleting, resetting things on the ODU, I ended with a CTD dcs.log-20220623-180853.zip

I don't thnik there will ever be several modules released with one update cycle. The South Atlantic map is within this cycle. When this is in stable branch, we will get the next update cycle with one new module I guess. Whatever it will be

Lately having a closer look at the Harrier and the manual again I noticed the following. page 281 Step 5 to test the throttle quadrant and JPTL audio warning. This will not work as described. For the audio warning to work you need the "DECS enable switch" in the ON position which is described in step 7 later on. So I guess this needs to be changed?

I rewatched the video am I'm curious how the alignment with the airbase works and how accurate it is. Is it a simplification which knows from game parking position where the plane is or does it initialize looking for the GPS constellation for faster alignment? Beeing on a north ramp or south ramp parking spot with a 10.000ft runway in between makes a difference.

Bad decisions were made... but deck crew is standing around and looking like nothing has happened

HUD no VV in landing mode and TACAN steering line reversed?
gulredrel replied to gulredrel's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks for checking the track. Just had a short flight and VV was present in landing mode and TACAN line behaved normal. Last time it did not change from solid to dashed on the HUD when going from roughly towards the station to going away, but somewhat 90 degree off of that. Was definitely weird. Maybe is was something strange cause the game was paused for a long time before I resumed flight. I guess, we will never know. -
Hello, I don't know, if the track is useful. I did a field takeoff, climb, high speed run and than landed and refueled to land on the carrier and take off again. In Landing steering mode I had strange things. There was no velocity vector on the HUD. TACAN steering command on HUD and VDI were also reversed? Dashed line on the wrong side versus solid line. Goal was 64° radial to go 67X into Kobuleti. Anyone else having issues like this? Thanks Jens F-14A_no_VV_on_HUD_TACAN_HUD_reversed.trk

Fixed now in stable 2.7.14.24228. - Fixed errant polygons in the speed indicator gauge.

Jester's Joker and Bingo callouts unreliable?
gulredrel replied to gulredrel's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
So I need to rely on the bright master caution light to get my attention at reaching bingo state Would be possible Jester could repeat fuel state or call out 5000 lbs and 3000 lbs as fixed values of interest? Checklist item during high speed runs: constantly watch the fuel gauge. -
Hello, Just want to know your experience with Jester's Bingo and Joker callouts. I'm under the impression, they are sometimes totally unreliable. Sometimes they work, sometimes not. Don't know for sure but will he leave them out if he is busy with radar or whatever task? He should call Bingo later, I guess, even if the state is than some hundred pounds less. Also they seem to get weird, when you reset Bingo counter during flight. Just t add, I'm only using single player. Maybe I can create a track next time, forgot after my last experience, when I landed with 500lbs fuel left. Thanks Jens

"One wire... but not exploded at the back of the boat..."
-
Thanks. Better fly over Sardinia next time, not over Caucasus
-
It is due to the screen capture program. In game it is at the right position Thanks, noticed the same, thanks for clearing this up. Looking really good. Anyone figured out what caused the master caution at around 7m30s in the video?

--> so release is May 26th, like Top Gun Maverick?

I keep it out exactly for the spool-up time reason in case of a go-around.
