  1. Russian holidays start at New Year and last until the 9th or 10th of January normally. I wouldn't expect anything until February maybe. These guys need a timeout too eventually.
  2. That is true. The background scenery when she flys a barrel roll looks very fluid though. It’s just the HSD, ADI and engine gauges not updating completely fluently but rather a little jagged in the video. I think the software they use is probably quite accurate to the real aircraft as it is displayed at an airshow. I also don‘t think the data on the real aircraft (headings, compass rose etc.) is shown perfectly fluid like in DCS, at least that was never the case in real aircrafts I sat in. Obviously my thinking and my observations are very biased in this regard. Still, in this case I would give the simulator video the benefit of the doubt. .
  3. Looks weird, your ACM is still boxed as well.
  4. The ADI does lag considerably in the video indeed.
  5. So, if the image was less bright you would be able to distinguish the tanks more easily? In the A-10 render the tanks are way brighter than the trees, in the JF-17 the brightness looks very similar, as you said. Or does ED use a different brightness value for in-game assets as an interim solution?
  6. Interesting. How does ED manage to do this while still using the same rendering tech?
  7. Thank you for the quick reply. i am very impressed by how quickly you guys respond to the bug reports. Indeed only the HUD message is missing. Yes, Rudel, I agree. I am having a blast too.
  8. In the manual/quick start guide it says: 4. Using “BIT” switch on FCS panel to perform test for the FCS. When testing is performing, “FCS BIT” appears on HUD. When BIT finishes with no malfunction, “FCS BIT” disappears. However, nothing appears on the HUD, I tried long and short pressing the button. Is this a bug or has this perhaps not been implemented yet?
  9. This I can totally understand  Aircraft nowadays are just way too reliable.
  10. It's not a military aircraft procedure manual, it is a quick start guide.
  11. Looking at the bug threads and the preliminary changelog you guys are the opposite of lazy.
  12. Two weeks? That's certainly earlier than I expected. Great news.
  13. Why is every thread getting a one star rating? Who hurt you? :)
  14. I think it's because there are some weight/center of gravity problems with the wing tanks right now, which is why asymmetric loadouts are currently disabled. Please don't quote me on this though.
  15. Yes, I think you are right, good point! Yeah, now that you say it the seeker tone is very loud indeed, I just figured it is this way in real life as well. It is a bit weird that the warnings get turned down together with the seeker tone, like you wrote, but I guess it's just another quirk of the little jet
  16. Just bought the module so I am gonna answer it myself for anyone who might want to know too. All in all the sounds are great, in my opinion. I was positively surprised. The switches, the electrical humming in the cockpit, the fuel pump etc. all sound very good in my opinion. The whole plane sounds quite harmonious on the ground and in the air, with the wind getting louder the faster you go and the engine spooling up and down when you change the throttle position or the afterburner kicking in during the takeoff roll. No cuts or loops are audible either. I like the exterior sounds as well, especially when you pan around. Deka did a great job there. Two things that could be better perhaps: 1)The F3 fly-by sounds are a little weak and artificially sounding in some phases, I think Deka already wrote that they are working on improving these. I wouldn't say that fly-bys sound bad though, not at all. 2)What I am missing a little bit are some sort of rattling effects from the airframe at high AoA, high G manoeuvers although I have to say that I do not know whether or not a real pilot would even hear these things, especially with the helmet on, or rather just feel them. All in all I'd say that the module sounds good, the mixing is good, nothing is too loud or too quiet and I am very much convinced.
  17. Horrible? I think that's an overstatement. It needs some texturing work on the throttle and around the canopy and the cockpit floor needs better shading/shadows or whatnot. Apart from that it won't look radically different, the real one looks very two dimensional and dull as well. It's just the way it is.
  18. Hmm, I see. I'm sorry this is the only thing I could think of.
  19. Does this happen after rearming? If yes, did you update the Data Cartridge?
  20. A little hilarious this mistake, but no worries. I'm sure the devs will see it anyways.
  21. How are the sounds? What about hearing things like inverters, electronics humming, airflow coming out of the ECS vents, landing gear sounds etc.? This is something that the ED modules like the Mi-8, A-10, F/A-18C and F-16 and Heatblurs F-14 all have and it's a very important part of the simulation in my opinion, especially as it is a fully priced module.
  22. is this really not a bug? Looks quite weird in the first two pics.
