  1. IFF works on my end as well. The RWS bricks are getting interrogated automatically on the radar page as soon as I put the cursor over them, I can interrogate fighters in ACM modes as well, I can interrogate contacts on the SA page, it’s honesty much more intuitive than before - and we don’t even have MSI yet.
  2. I mean, talking about the external sounds yeah, you’re probably right. That’s a highly subjective topic. I think the ground idle sounds completely wrong, as it currently growls like an engine on military power but I never spend time in the external view anyways :D About the cockpit sounds, apart from hearing Jester click stuff all the time (that kind of breaks the immersion a little bit, but someone is gonna mod this anyways), I really like them, even though they are not reeeeeally 100% realistic, but that would be kinda boring as well so I understand HBs motivation behind this.
  3. Well then they’d have to implement some of the improvements paying customers suggested in this very thread.
  4. This is honestly the feature I am hyped for the most. Edit: realistic carrier ops, that is. Not just the salute feature.
  5. Well said, some1. It’s true. Me personally, I don’t mind it but it’s still a fact. This stuff takes time though, so I doubt a roadmap would be achievable in the first place.
  6. I mean, how would they simulate NCTR realistically anyways? It’s impossible. They probably code it like this: if angle < 40 deg and distance < 30 nm -> have the HAFU switch to friendly/hostile based on coalition. (Or something like that)
  7. That’s a very good question. I think it will be simply based on coalition.
  8. Good stuff Echo 19, I hope HB resolves those issues, you're a very talented guy. Thank you for your Hornet sound mod, it's glorious.
  9. Maybe someone will come up with a sound mod that turns down the gain of some of the sounds (throttle, switches)
  10. I have to agree here, given how hyper realistic this module is in many respects, the sound mixing is arcade-ish. I prefer the Hornets sound design, as ED went with a more realistic approach (in the realm of what is possible within DCS and its limiting sound engine). For example, with the Hornet, ED nailed the wind noises that get louder and louder depending on speed, altitude and AoA, I miss that in the F-14.
  11. Jester sound files are causing the crashes. Given NineLine's update today, I'd say this is simply correlation bias.
  12. Just switch to the stable version and you should be good.
  13. It does start a timer counting up when putting it in GND, CV doesn’t work yet.
  14. He did that to me as well but after today’s update he seems to be controlling the jet. However, I can’t open the ICEMAN menu.
  15. Please correct me if I’m wrong but I think it is neither possible in the sim nor in the real aircraft, as the mechanism is interlocked. This wing configuration was made possible specifically for the test flight to test the airworthiness in the case of an emergency due to severe damage to the wing sweep mechanism for example.
  16. I think this could also be the reason why, from certain distances, it looks like the wings are fully swept forward and then a moment later they are swept back again. This is observable for example when watching someone do a CASE I while sitting stationary on the carrier deck.
  17. That's weird. I would try to simply unbind everything except the joystick and throttle axis on your HOTAS. That way you can rule out a malfunction of your X56.
  18. @danny875 That‘s a great idea! I was wondering if it‘s possible to file it off. I‘m gonna do that, thanks for the pictures.
  19. Looks awesome. However, I just can't buy a piece of plastic for $13 and then pay $16 shipping for said item, as a matter of principle.
  20. It doesn’t sound good let alone realistic at all and I agree, it is not on par with the rest of the product. Then again, neither were the external sounds of the Viggen.
  21. That is not true. The automatic stored heading alignment is used for alert launches. However, during that time the boat cannot change its course. Spiceman talks about it in the CVW-11 video about the RIO seat, starting at around 01:15.
  22. Yes, a box with FRIEND written underneath. Should come later in Early Access.
