  1. The JHMCS is missing a lot of functionality. Apart from designating ground targets for example it should also show datalinked fighters and friendlies around you. I’m sure it will be fairly complete once the Hornet is out of Early Access.
  2. I believe the DDI number is meant to be a reference for display recording and doesn't correlate with the local/zulu time displayed on the IFEI.
  3. Oops, I actually replied to the wrong thread, someone else asked the same question. Anyways, you're welcome!
  4. According to a thread in the wish list above, it will come later.
  5. So, basically the radar scan volume should cover almost twice the height it does now?
  6. Good stuff, Jak525! Thanks for writing this, it‘s very straightforward to read. Also a big thanks to everyone else who contributes to the page.
  7. Someone is 1-star rating every thread.
  8. I thought it's a very simplified representation and just converts the mesh data from the sim to a ground radar picture?
  9. I was under the impression that the Hornet will see updates monthly now, so my guess would be: Nothing.
  10. In the real world you switch to IFA after aligning on the boat. However that goes for the GPS jets. I don’t think the DCS Hornet has GPS modeled (yet)
  11. Not for me. The cockpit shakes violently while the aircraft doesn’t move an inch when I throttle up. The whole aircraft is sliding around the carrier deck with the parking brake on. Currently the ground handling on the carrier is no fun at all, it feels extremely weird. Furthermore, the aircraft slides sideways while lining up on the cat.
  12. You can stow the wing fold lever with the mouse scroll.
  13. Me too, they did such a good job everywhere else, it would be a bit of a shame. Cobra stated that "Flyby sounds will see some improvements". I am not sure if this includes implementing speed thresholds though, so I remain cautiously optimistic.
  14. So that‘s why the jet sounds like it is at military power all the time in external view, even though it sits on the ground at idle power. For all their talk about „going above and beyond everywhere“ I must say that they definitively didn‘t when it comes to the external sounds. It speaks volumes when a sound modder, who did a brilliant job with the Hornet, can‘t even start modding the F-14 because the sound structure is simplified that much.
  15. The page shows the systems that haven’t been implemented or completed yet or have been turned off. Things like FLIR (targeting pod), the laser, datalink, MIDS radios, IFF system, Flight control system A and B for example on your page. The BIT page itself is bugged though, the RWR and HMD often gets stuck in “restart” and the COM1/COM2 stays inop on the BIT page even though you turned it back on etc. It’s not really useful at the moment.
  16. Yeah, I agree, this sounds absolutely amazing. It's gonna make the Hornet, F-14 and DCS as a whole much, much more fun. I can't wait! Good question regarding the MP, borba_eagle. Also I presume it is going to be a paid module, apart from the ATC?
  17. I think you are right. It certainly feels that way. @Airhunter: I agree.
  18. It looks quite ridiculous really. You advance the throttles to a point where you feel like you should be moving, the whole cockpit shakes violently as if it disintegrates every second but you are still glued to the flight deck. I really wish ED fixed this already, given that, arguably, two DCS flagship modules are suffering from this.
  19. Huh, I wouldn't have guessed that the legacy hornet doesn't have this. Neat!
  20. The bottom lines of the left DDI are usually reserved for advisories and cautions, they will be displayed there.
  21. I gather we won’t get an official answer about this but If I had to guess, I’d say that there is no way Boeing didn’t implement some sort of extrapolation for LTWS. I cannot think of any technical hurdle that would have prevented this from ever being implemented.
  22. Unfortunately I can’t directly answer your three questions. However, bear in mind that the realistic INS/GPS simulation has not been implemented yet. It‘s more or less another placeholder.
  23. Good find. Maybe HB finds a way to implement this more realistically. Would make wing sweep operation on the ground a bit more intuitive.
