thats more res than I tought it would be! And even the DK2 is good enough to play DCS. I even challange myself with the Rift DK2 today in MP. Impostors to "enlarge" and it's (almost) the same spotting that with a normal screen. Or you use a label mod which helps spotting but don't turn DCS into arcade. It's totally playable. I will never go back to 2D, but I wait until Summer or Autum to buy a consumer version (Rift or Vive).

for one, it's amazing fight right now, but once the Mirageis fixed ( IFF, missle performance) it will turn into a real challange for the MiGs...
don't use the "W" key for turning, you will find yourself with no energy low and slow very quickly. Use it only for a lead turn to point your nose to get a launch with the R-73 or a gun kill.
Use it as a kind of "nose pointer"
The Mirages vs MiGs server is the best multiplayer experience I ever had in DCS. Who is hostig that server? I feel like I have to donate some $ to keep it running :thumbup:

Für einen Simulator zur Pilotenausbildung ist das Flugmodell zweit oder sogar drittrangig. Hier kommt es auf 100% simulierte Sensorik und Avionik an. Warum die LM Ingenieure vor 25 Jahren weniger "nah dran" sein sollen als hobby Programmierer ist mir auch ein Rätsel. Die Physik hat sich mWn in den letzten 25 Jahren nicht verändert, nur die Rechenpower zum Simulieren. Das das aber damals weniger genau sein soll ist quatsch.
Und ob nun 10 oder 1000h arbeit drin stecken braucht mich als zahlender Endkunde schlicht nicht zu interessieren.
Zurück zum Thema, die M2000C ist jeden Cent wert und dürfte (wenn fertig) der A-10C in nichts nachstehen :thumbup:

Es ist nichtmal bekannt wie schnell der Eurofighter im Supercruse ist. Die Zahlen gehen von Mach 1.2 bis Mach 1.8 auseinander, je nach Quelle. VAEO kann vlt einen X-Wing for DCS machen mit EF2000 3D Model, aber das wars dann auch.
OT: those B-17 who returned home for these spectecular pictures where just lucky. 90% of the B-17 that took the same or less damage when down. don't take that as a rule, it was a lucky exception.

well, in RL you want to bring plane and pilot home in a safe way. There's no point if you could do something but then ending up with a grounded airframe because you "over g'd" it. These limits are there to make sure you can fly the plane for many years and not to fly it once or twice :smilewink:
think of this, the EF2000 is the first(!) true 9g fighter. Meaning, it can pull 9g with full (internal!) fuel. No 4th gen fighter is allowed to pull that in the same contition.
The Mirage pulling 9g with full centerline fuel tank (and therefore full internal load) is very very unlikely.
yes, you see it. Jammers cause ghost contacts, same azimut but instead of one contact you get two or three, at different distances. these ghost contacts jump around (closer than the actual target and more far away). You will not see the FC3 or MiG-21 type of cluter
