  1. I'd definitely buy it. The possibilities would be greatly expanded. And like someone said, Someone will fly it, even if most don't. I'll be one of those that will fly it.
  2. 5 pending items, but the engine is at 90% completion and the damage model is at 60%, so those will be holding back release as well.
  3. Fantastic initiative, Nightwolf!! Thanks for taking the time to clear up some of the issues some of us may have or may have had with the Gazelle. Very helpful!!
  4. No worries, and no rush. I'm still dry on pilot info, but still looking whenever I can.
  5. I'm having the same problem using the TM Warthog. I can slew the radar TDC while holding the button just fine, but doing it with the -65F is near impossible. I'm also using the Warthog's slew-nipple-thing for the TDC and the nipple's button as TDC Press.
  6. I've used TIR since ca. 2004. Upgraded to a Rift-capable PC in Nov 2017, and just got Rift last month (Nov 2018). Some of my sims, however, can't run Rift in 3d, or at all (some sims require more work to get Rift working than I'm willing to do right now), and since I don't have enough USB ports to run all my peripherals and keep my TIR plugged in and run my Rift, I'm sticking to only VR for the immediate time being.
  7. I've asked the same question regarding the MiG-29 before. It's not nearly as simple as, "Oh, Germany has a few G variants, so we could get the necessary tech from them," or a similar argument about Fulcrums in the States. The problem is that regardless of who owns the actual aircraft (say, Germany and their G fleet, for instance), you'd still need to get the permission and applicable rights to model the aircraft up to full-fidelity standards, and Mikoyan-Gurevich has put a firm "NO" clamp on that idea.

    F-15E?

Oh wow, I didn't realize that. Well, hopefully, we'll be seeing the Mudhen much sooner than I was thinking. My fingers are crossed now!!

    F-15E?

Not to mention the MiG-23, which RB stated is to be started after the MiG-19 is released.
  10. I read somewhere (I can't remember where, but if I manage to dig it up, I'll link it to my post) that the Navy and Marines used a kind of "host rules" thing, for commonality of systems and maintenance. I.e., The Navy used ATFLIR by default, and the Marines used the LITENING II, but if a Marine squadron was deployed to a carrier, then they used the Navy's ATFLIR pods. Consequently, if the Navy jets were deployed to a Marine base in combat or contingency, then the Navy would use the Marines' LITENING II pods. I can't verify if this was/is true, because I don't know the credibility of whoever said it, and hopefully someone with real experience like Lex or Mover can chime in with what they know, but if it is true, then yes, I would like to have the LITENING II pod as an option. If it's not true, then I'm fine with just the ATFLIR.
  11. I'm hoping for a better flight model... one that doesn't feel like MAC aircraft in helicopter form. Other than that, I'm fairly satisfied with the Gazelle.
  12. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything, outside of the aircraft illustration site. https://www.markstyling.com/f_a_18as_04.htm Here, on page three, are a few examples, 39, 40, and 41. Also, the first aircraft of the page four is from VMFA-451. Another downside is that these aircraft on this site are only assigned to two pilots, Lt.Col. A.S. Dudley, "Scotty," CO of the squadron, and Lt.Col. J.E. Hunter, "Catfish." Aside from these, I can't find any info on pilots with airframes.
  13. Sorry for the late response. The last OB update on the 16th fixed the problem. Mk-20s are working great now!!
  14. I'm not sure if this has been reported or not, but in the stores page, Rockeyes show up as, "RET." The HOF and other fuzing options for the Rockeyes are gone. This also affects the CBU-99s. The bombs still work perfectly fine. During the flight I took the screenshots from, I destroyed two not-so-closely-spaced vehicles with one Rockeye... twice!! I just wanted to bring this to the attention of the devs. I'm attaching an external screenshot showing what I'm actually carrying, and a shot of my Stores page. Thanks!!
  15. I'll see what I can find. Pics are hard to find, but I'll do some digging. Thanks!!
  16. Hey guys. I've encountered something strange with the Rockeyes in the Harrier. I'm flying with two Rockeyes, two drop tanks, two Sidewinders, and a gun pod. I'm dropping them in CCIP, with a multitude of one, and an interval of 0.00. I don't know how to set HOF or Burst Altitude, but that's another topic for another thread. I drop the first Rockeye in CCIP no problem, but I get symbology on the HUD indicating that I have no more A-G munitions despite having a Rockeye still under one wing. Changing to Auto does nothing. Changing to NAV or VSTOL and back to AG does nothing. Switching to guns or Sidewinders does nothing. I took some screenshots, and am attaching them to this post. The first picture shows my Stores page, as well as ACP settings prior to releasing the first bomb. The second picture shows the same, but after the first bomb has been released. The third picture is also after the first bomb has been released, but shows a clearer view of the HUD. Any idea what could be causing this? User error or bug? Thanks!!
  17. Hey guys. I'm just looking for some tips and tricks to help me be more consistent with my Case I pattern, specifically when holding the five-mile circuit. I can never seem to be able to hold the proper distances. Are there any tips anyone can give me, such as angle of bank, or visual cues? I understand that things like angle of bank may change because the carrier is moving, but I'm just looking for some ballpark figures to help me get a little better. Thanks!!
  18. What flare? You don't flare in the Hornet. Ever.
  19. +1
  20. +1 Any news on the old Belle Chasse Hogs?
  21. I found several high-quality pics of a 1/32 F-18 painted in VMA-451 colors, as well as a few real world pics. I hope these help!!
  22. Thanks, man!! I'll start looking for some other pics.
  23. I didn't mean to come off as impatient. My apologies if I have. I'm just saying that if would have made as much, if not more, sense if A-G was prioritized over A-A for the reasons I've listed. Since they haven't, I'm not complaining. As I said in an above post, I'm having an absolute blast flying the Hornet and doing everything it's capable of so far. I meant to simply point out that prioritizing A-G would have been a viable way to go. I, like most of us, am patiently awaiting new updates.
  24. Yep. That's why the NA is more accurate and the preferred platform for unguided bombing over the Plus. Our version of the NA does have the capability to carry JDAMs, though. They're just a little ways off while the INS code gets finished.
  25. I'm already really good at CCIP. I've been flying the A-10c since about 2012-ish. It works and is quite accurate. The problem is that due to threats and many other factors, a CCIP drop may not always be feasible in a realistic scenario. Sometimes you need to drop a GBU-16 or 31 from 25k+. Strikes are doable now, but until we get guided A-G weapons, the Strikes we can do in the only true Strike-capable aircraft we have aren't really realistic. I can wait, but I'm really missing some guided stuff.
