No matter the outcome. We will take it! ...some better than others

Finger on F5 key is ready!
-
Its called Digital Combat Simulator. It says nothing about aircraft in the title. It could very well be a tank simulator.
-
I've read nearly the entirety of that improvements thread and let me tell you, if ED applies even 20% of those requested features the amount of gameplay quality and experience of improve x100!

You guys are telling us nothing new here. Yes, the F-16 flight model is incomplete. Yes, it needs more work. Yes, it is under/over performing.... whatever. Last time I checked the module still has an Early Access label on it.

Mission Progress functionality that allows triggers to skip or save missions. Skip Mission / Mission Progress functionality: As soon as the player enters a trigger zone, he should have the option to skip to a next part of mission at a later stage. This will allow for multiple mission scenarios based on mission progress. Save Mission: Functionality that allows players to save mission progress as soon as they enter a specific trigger zone. These two will be a Godsend for single players that simply don't have the free time to spend 2-3 hours a time on single mission because of work or personal life. Our wives and children will appreciate it too :D

1. Undo / Redo with at least 50 history states. Also add a keyboard shortcuts like CTRL - Z for undo and CTRL - SHIFT - Z for Redo. 2. Copy/Cut - Paste in header menu as well. 3. Delete shortcut key 4. Multiple selection of objects with mouse drag selection. 5. Group / Ungroup with not just static objects. We want to use this feature to create templates easier and faster. 6. Add multiple coalitions and ability to create multiple country presets. 7. Default Static templates for all maps: Default templates for each airfields for ALL maps that can be loaded by users. At the moment the editor feels empty, and that a lot of content is missing. User should select airfield and load a default template or create custom ones. Content can be: - Aircraft, helicopters, fuel tracks and other equipment. 8. Add an indication on the bottom left that shows mission performance efficiency based on users PC hardware and number of objects and assets placed in mission. 9. Ground objects like infantry should have the option to be added in small - medium - large numbers and should facilitate random tactical movement in game based on alertness or status. This option should also be present for other ground objects like vehicle groups. 10. Have the ability to add static objects faster and easier. Its frustrating to have to deselect the static object once I placed in on the map and then go back and reselect static objects and place the new one again. Perhaps a + (plus) button on the top right that indicates adding new static objects of the same category or perhaps selecting how many objects to place before placing them.. don't know but a better solution is needed here.

Heatblur Development Update - Thunder & Cat
Napa replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Amazing update!! If ED ever makes a DCS 3rd Party Developer of the Year awards you guys will win hands down -
This! I'm not saying its unplayable but it needs work.
-
-
Heatblur should beat them to it then :)
-
Lets hope we get to see a video demo soon

Panavia Tornado or a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. BOTH need to be in DCS ASAP. Money will come to those who make them a reality :devil_2: Lots of money!!
-
You can lase with infantry.. However there is a limited range. You can see the range when you select the infantry unit.
-
True. You won't see the graphics detail from 20,000 feet. However, there is a need for more automation of infantry in DCS. Basically a more sophisticated infantry AI that moves around, takes cover and formation, attacks, flanks, retreats, patrols and check surrounding based on alertness etc etc... You can manually set all these settings one by one but incredibly time consuming and not effective at all.
-
It should be. Under Edit there should be a cut/copy - paste menu option. And also a history log with undo/redo should be done as well. It really surprises me that basic editing functions are not there yet in a complex mission editor.
-
After the last update the jet feels and behaves a lot better and smoother now.

Got my shipment in Cyprus as well. cool shirts and now I see why the 2nd t-shirt. Good choice from Heatblur. Took a while but it was worth it

I think most of us need a "save" feature because of time restrictions in RL. If a save feature is not possible then a possibility of a dynamic mission (similar to dynamic campaigns) where there is timeline and players can select specific points in the timeline to jump in and start the mission. For example in the briefing screen once everything is loaded, to have the option to either start from ramp cold & dark or start from ramp hot, or start in the air close to the ingress point, etc. etc... So basically, each waypoint can have a "start mission" option or something similar.
-
Shouldn't take more than 3-5 mins depending on how much thorough you are with your checks.
-
At least a better looking 3D model :p
-
One would expect at least in EU they would arrive earlier... damn post office

Wingman takes one target with AIM-7 and I choose the other one again with AIM-7. After the initial engagement I make a left turn towards the north of Shiraz, that gives me time to prep my bombs, AI takes out SAMs and any other hostiles, and then I ingress the target area from N-N/E, deliver the full payload with a steep CCIP dive and climb above angels 25 towards w/p 2.

At 1:55 I believe its Beirut, Lebanon
