Yes, well sort of. Open the multiplayer exe and the single player exe at the same time. Create your mission in single player - save and then load in multiplayer as a LAN mission to check the positions of your objects. Then take notes of adjustments - exit, go back in single player, make changes - save and reload the mission in multiplayer. * Make sure you set the full screen OFF and lowered the resolution on both single and multiplayer so that you can have both windows and switch between them with ease without pressing Alt-Tab. This is the most efficient and fast way I know. It will bring your PC down to it's knees but it's worth it. You can make amazing missions like this.

Mustang First Take-Off and Landing: Post your Tracks/Vids
Napa replied to 159th_Viper's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Sometimes I still can't believe how powerful that engine is. Things can escalate out of control very quickly. -
Until now everything points that's clearly a pilot error. The final approach fix was at a wrong altitude (way above the g/s, and not having a working g/s at that runway helped a bit to maintain the error until too late) they attempted to correct that at the last few nm. Unless you fix it before 1000 feet don't attempt to land, go around and try again. Lesson learned. Pilots need to disengage autopilot and start fly manual approaches more often. Also Airbus can easily take the advantage here to point out the superior safety mechanisms of their FBW aircraft. P.S. I'm not gonna piss on Korean pilots, it's not fair to put them all in one basket.

Checking back the history of many companies around the world when they invest in new technologies they face the hazard of bankruptcy at one point in the future. It's inevitable since obstacles are presented on every turn in every phase of the development and EDGE is no different. I'm not saying that ED is in danger (I pray that they are not), but it's clear to me that after the recent developments of the past few months they had to take important and decisive decisions to overcome these obstacles (most probably financial in nature) and steer clear of any danger. Come to think of it, a kickstarter for EDGE could be considered. Just my 2 cents here. One famous example I remember now with such history is Rolls Royce when their research department was experimenting on the first true 3-spool engine (Rolls-Royce RB211 high bypass turbofan) originally developed for the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar in 1971. The costs of development forced Rolls-Royce into bankruptcy and nationalisation by the British government. The company managed to survive and the RB211 became the first true three-spool engine, which also turned Rolls-Royce from a small player in the airline industry into a global competitor and thus happy ending.

Investigation should give us some insight of what might happen.

And proper carrier ops eventually.

Yes day 1, a lot happened in the forums that day as far as I remember. I pledged in as well and I wish them a lot of success. Also if you read the aforementioned thread you can see my comment on the 4th page if I remember correctly of how supporting I was. I hope you are right. Now here I disagree, I know my job very well and I know for a fact that you don't need to have a COD budget to market a product to a niche community of a few thousands. (That would be a waste of money). All I'm saying is that the whole process could've been done much more effective. Do you think 1000-2000 thousand more bucks to create a proper marketing strategy before launching the kickstarter is a wrong move? The goal of the kickstarter is $75,000 in 2 weeks. If it was $76,000 or $77,000 would it made a lot of impact considering they added pledges of up to $3000? Don't take me wrong mate. I'm really going to enjoy this product. I've been dreaming for a proper F-35 sim since the EIDOS 1998 JSF sim. Hopefully the kickstarter will reach the goal and we can all enjoy the F-35 sooner than expected.

KI should wait a few more weeks for the Kickstarter. Raise more awareness on both Russian and Western communities in DCS forums. Also a properly designed landing page (with mobile accessibility) and with a lot of info as possible on the project would produce better results. It's not easy to create this vibe to get people excited but with the right steps is possible. From the beginning as soon as everybody found out about this module almost everyone was hasty, overly critical and negative. Wags had to step in and endorse it himself in the forums to calm things down a bit. To have people pledge in your project a couple of weeks after you announce it, simply is not going to work, you need to built a lot of trust well beforehand. Anyway, a lot of stuff could've been done beforehand and the ED forums are not the place to discuss them. In my humble opinion, they got too hasty with kickstarter. They still have a few days to turn things around. My advice, market the product better. Spend a few more thousands to market your product better and it will pay off tenfold at the end.

Information from 3rd party forums is a mess.
Napa replied to Nybble's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Agree. Mods and 3rd party devs need to tidy up a bit their forums. ED on their side keeps everything neat and clean. -
It's like I bought A-10C all over again. Looking around in the cockpit with my chin hitting the deck.

This is exactly what the DCS brand is selling to you. And this should be the DCS brand promise. To deliver products as close to reality as possible. If this is their actual brand mission statement then they should stick with it. The market doesn't forgive easily those who break the brand's promise.

ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)
Napa replied to rekoal's topic in Screenshots and Videos
What are those 2 circles on the ground in the 5th photo? Also that target practice on the last photo is a mod? I don't remember something like that in DCS. -
Good luck with the project and all the best to make it as close to real as possible. I'll definitely buy this module.

The June 14th Update Discussion Thread
Napa replied to SkateZilla's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
It's a hint that EDGE will take a lot longer than expected and that in between we'll get some graphical improvements on the current engine. Seems reasonable since developing a brand new engine takes millions of dollars and millions of hours. What I'm really excited is the ATC improvements :) Thank you Matt for the update. -
Sooner or later it will happen. The F-16 has the biggest fan base in the combat flight sim community. ED or a 3rd party dev will do it at some point. It's good business to bring F-16s into DCS world. But it will get in line because something even better is around the corner - F/A-18C with carrier ops. :)

New Build... should i get haswell????
Napa replied to SAM77's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'm always insusceptible with brand new tech. Haswell is completely brand new, a 4th generation Intel core as opposed to the 3rd gen Ivy bridge. Ivy Bridge is basically the same tech as Sandy bridge, squeezed down to a 22nm die, more refined and tweaked for faster performance, stability and lower energy consumption. I guess we'll have to wait and see the income from this Haswell after release but I don't expect much difference. Edit: You can always read the reviews and make up your mind http://www.guru3d.com/articles_summary/core_i7_4770k_review.html -
Go to the nearest store and buy a new proper HOTAS  Just kidding. I used to have a Logitech joystick but not the 3D pro. If you can't afford to buy a new one then try to mess around more with deadzones and saturation. Or wait for ED to release an update with some fix.

Reaper looking good  Don't forget the C-17 Globemaster ;) It needs to be done sooner or later.
