I personally found that takeoff in the 109 is easiest with 20 degrees of flap, manual pitch at 12 o clock, full nose down trim, tailwheel locked, and by slowly increasing throttle to maintain 2400-2500 rpm and tapdancing on the rudder to keep it straight.
Done right you'll have the cruise power setting set just after takeoff ( 1.25 ata / 2400rpm ).
Just keep the nose from shooting up and you should be fine.
