  1. The British liveries look sexier anyway :p And it's a Frenchman saying that. ;)
  2. The AV-8B NA is basically the GR7, so it's not that unrealistic.
  3. Hello, I had an issue with the FM where it would make me bounce uncontrollably on the ground and take off again at 100 knots, resulting in a low altitude chandelle and a crash. After some testing, I found out that it may be a gain increase in the FBW, where the same stick position yields more deflection of the surfaces when the wheels touch the ground. In practice, that means that fine control of the attitude on the rollout during aerobraking is manually impossible, and the only cure I have found is to let go of the controls as soon as the plane touches down and entrust the FBW to let the nose down gently, which it never does. I know the FBW is due an overhaul, just wanted to bring this to light in case no one else had.
  4. The P 1127, Harrier GR.1 and AV-8A had no SAAHS to alleviate work load. Now add to that untrained pilots, and test pilots who had to help tweak the response of the controls and learn to fly a totally new aircraft concept altogether. No wonder it got that nickname. The margin for error is absolutely tiny.
  5. I personally found that takeoff in the 109 is easiest with 20 degrees of flap, manual pitch at 12 o clock, full nose down trim, tailwheel locked, and by slowly increasing throttle to maintain 2400-2500 rpm and tapdancing on the rudder to keep it straight. Done right you'll have the cruise power setting set just after takeoff ( 1.25 ata / 2400rpm ). Just keep the nose from shooting up and you should be fine.
  6. So the torque is modelled by forcing the stick off center ?
  7. Something I noticed after taking the 109 up again yesterday : On the ground, the controls are centered no problem, but once in the air, the stick has a slight "trim" to the right. Is that accurate ? I am not using any trim or assistance whatsoever.
  8. What kind of Avionics package can we expect ? I'm having trouble finding any real doc on the subject. I read that the CJ was less complex than the French C.
  9. Here's my new livery, based on the paint scheme of the early Etendards and Super Etendards. I still need to figure out how to have only the big nose BORT number and the lower tail one show in white, help is much appreciated
  10. In the latest patch notes "Reworked control surfaces deflection saturation to a clamping behaviour" Anyone got a clue what that means ?
  11. Do you need any help ? Any idea on a release window ?
  12. Is there a template available somewhere ?
  13. Just add "RUS" to the countries in the description lua
  14. FlyJsim releases his Boeing 727 v2 "Study" http://store.x-plane.org/727-Series-Study-v2_p_496.html A very good old school aircraft still with active support and updates
  15. Add wind data in the LASTE panel. Not too difficult, just check briefing for wind at the different altitudes and put them in.
  16. Thanks / Merci ! I will definitely look into it. The v1 of the skin should be on the user files section shortly, I'll see if I had the tanks or not. Did you change the lua as well ?
  17. I was wondering where the textures for the two big fuel tanks are and if there was a way to get a template for them to go along with a skin I'm working on.
  18. Nothing too fancy, a simple rocket training sortie
  19. Been trying to run it on a remote machine, but it keeps timing out on me.
  20. Which one do you have the most doc/access to ?
  21. Serial : 51247 Location : If I told you I'd have to kill you
  22. Am I supposed to hear the inertia starter whine down multiple times when I keep the clutch lever pulled on startup ?
  23. Woohoo !!! And the holidays are coming. Many flight hours to clock in !
  24. Man that was cool. Wish there were more GoPro shots though
