  1. Yes, I fully concur. If it would allow to fill Normandy with greater volume of aircraft in a shorter span, than its obviously a right approach. And later, those modules could become full fidelity or as Yoyo says full grade.
  2. Are you a fanboy or something ? No card debuted today, this is a paper launch and GPU's wont be available until September 20. So we have to wait another month to learn what they are capable of. As for performance gains ... there was not a single benchmark showing performance gains between Pascal and Turing. We have yet to see what they actually delivered, since for now its all markerting.
  3. Most certainly its faster than 1080Ti. In ray tracing. I want to see benchmarks of current games.
  4. I dont feel bad for those who bought it last year. I feel bad for those who will decide to spend twice as much on RTX cards. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/20-series/ https://www.nvidia.es/geforce/20-series/ 1200 $ or 1259 Euro for 2080Ti. Edit: or 999 $ if what Jensen said is going to happen.
  5. I understand your desire. I'd also like to have more frequent updates for you guys but as mentioned above, there is not always something that can be presented. Still, I will try to get more news as soon as possible. As for CE2, it's not a study project. It is a full fidelity module that will be launched like any other, though indeed it provides knowledge and experience as well as ability to try new features (like enhanced damage model). So in a way it is a project (for us) to prepare for F4U.
  6. Well, I hate to break it to you, but we are not obliged to provide pictures with every update for every module we work on. Especially as there are no pictures that would interest anyone, since attention was given to coding and programming of the module. But work is going on, right now F4U-1d is in process of texturing, as model is mostly complete I'd say but textures that were presented in December update were incomplete and predated DCS switching to PBR. For now lets just say that there is a lot work left for us to do, which is somehow overshadowed by preparations to launch CE2. Yes, months after writing that comment. I replaced my i7 2600k with Ryzen 2700X in April, whereas post is from February. Before that I had i7 2600k at 5.0 Ghz, same 16 Gb of RAM (though DDR3) and same GTX 1080Ti.
  7. Well, its 6 pages already. I wish someone from ED could take a look at that.

  9. It's just Rudel's secret base:
  10. It's a different type of machine and you never know what you will hit - whether that will be a roof, tree or AIM-9  Besides, it provides knowledge and experience for future projects, namely F4U-1d. When it arrives we will see, for the moment it is our own initiative and work.
  11. Dear pilots, as we’ve reached the middle of summer, it is time to make a small update on our current developments, particularly in relation to the greatly awaited Christen Eagle II. In the May update we’ve mentioned what still had to be done in order to complete the module and prepare for launch. Since then the list of issues has significantly decreased and the only prevailing problem is damage model of this aircraft. This problem however proved to us more complicated than we’ve initially anticipated and that is the reason it is taking so much time to address. The complexity lies in different materials such as wood, fabric and composites. Our ultimate desire is to make fabric edges of holes, skin of broken wings and tension rods to flutter in the wind and while possible with player model, it is not compatibile with Ai model for now. We aim for the best possible results, which once fully satisfied and tested, will be the last step before releasing Christen Eagle II. Please, visit our website for the complete update and gallery: http://leatherneck-sim.com/summer-2018-development-update/ Magnitude 3 LLC
  12. It is realistic. More than any other commercialy available MIG-21bis simulation in the history. It's not perfect, but let's be honest - no simulation is perfect, nor any aircraft is. I also think you misunderstood what Rudel said. Fm is realistic and backed up not only by paper but actual flight tests performed by experienced and skilled pilot with years of flying (you could compare it to the way Nick Grey compared real Spitfire with DCS version). The difference you are experiencing lies mostly in inputs and hardware which any of us is using. Dolphin tried to explain that in FM thread. The "gameplay" and "fun" relates to that, meaning that in simulation how average person experiences machine depends not only on hard numbers which in this case are cross checked and backed up, but also on how FM reacts to inputs provided by your hand through hardware (which varies greatly among users, I for example have stick with extension and it differs greatly from my previous flying with short stick). Dolphin tried to eplain that by giving example of roll rate and oscillation where due to your feedback, the effect of input was changed.
  13. Yes, the dll's compatible with newest build of the open beta were not ready on time and hence this result. We are actively working on solving the problem, but for the time being recommend sticking to release version.
  14. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=212795 Yes, it's been answered a dozen of times.
  15. I did that, switched to your settings. I have my OS on first SSD and all games on second SSD. Will see how it goes. Thank you.
  16. I presume in max size you set 16 GB, what about initial size ?
  17. Yes, no news guys. The list of things to do is getting shorter than the list of things completed but I don't think any news about F4U-1d will appear before CE2 is released.
  18. I've installed 391.35 and not a single crash occured during yesterdays 3 hour online flying. So I strongly recommend "downgrading" to that driver. Whatever is in newer drivers, recent patches of the DCS seem to be conflicting with it. Edit: Correction, had a first crash with this driver as well -> 2018-07-21 19:33:36.420 ERROR EDTERRAINGRAPHICS41: VTI loading slice error. ??? 2018-07-21 19:34:07.406 ERROR_ONCE DX11BACKEND: texture 'p51d_spec_fuz_front' not found. I had crashing issues before but once I did a clean install of drivers it stopped at the end of June. Then with one of the DCS updates frequent crashes started occuring and there is no way for me to stop them. At this point I've tried lowering my settings, overclocks, reinstalling drivers (with complete DDU cleanup in Windows Safe Mode) and moving back to older driver (398.36 caused stutters in other game so I thought perhaps entire driver is borked, but turns out crashes prevail with 398.11). Someone suggested on hoggit trying 391.35 so I might just do that, though it's only a temporary solution.
  20. Thank you, forwarded !
  21. No chance. I have 1080Ti Strix from the Asus with their custom cooler and even then its downclocking. During gaming sessions gpu runs at around 64-71 deg. I could make it run cooler if Id increase rpm of fans but I have one jet in game, dont need another one in my room :) Besides, problem with this gpu is more in relation to VRMs. From all custom 1080Ti's, Asus Strix had the worst VRM cooling and temps of mine reach 92 deg with no decent way to reduce them. Anyway, at those temps gpu downclocks to 1945-1976 Mhz despite my sincere attempts at pushing it beyond 2000. For the next gpu generation (be it nvidia or amd) I'm prepared to buy default version and get a waterblock for it. No point in buying custom versions if benefits are still negated by temperatures, better to add waterblock on founders edition and overclock it manually.
  22. Ok. In first post you stated that stutters are not present in release version but are present in open beta. Modules however are identical on both versions right now so can you confirm that once again ? Also, I can suggest from my side playing with the following: Clutter Grass 100 Trees visib 80% Preload 150000 Perhaps lower trees visibility. I know that 1060 is rather memory limited GPU but still it should handle it just fine. Also, do you have G-sync monitor ?
  23. Well, thats what are we doing with MiG already. I mean CE2 is in final stage and thus MiG saw a lot of attention during first 6 months of this year. After that, well, you know whats next from December update.
  24. Mutantos, can you specify the kind of stutters you are having ? Sudden FPS drops ? Constant low FPS causing this ? Also, specify your hardware (which Core I5 is it?) and ingame graphic settings please.
  25. I'd say more like soon, not a far soon but not too soon :)
